@@SanchelleLee I don't have any major complaints and still love it! I guess if I were to name one thing, it'd be that it's sometimes hard to get into the zippered pockets since I am right handed and some of the zippers go from right to left. I haven't noticed any issues with the bottom pouch causing it to fall over since I usually prop my pack against something. It probably depends on if there are any heavy items in the other pockets that's causing a weight imbalance and/or if the items packed in the bottom pouch is not giving it an even base.

I’ve been shopping other brands for weeks and came back to TNF. My backpack has some of the same hidden pockets which just really stand out to me as being superior and more cleverly designed than all other backpacks I’ve researched. Thanks to your thorough review, I knew it was the one I wanted! I even found a good deal on a purple one and the matching lumbar pack. I fly fairly frequently so my idea is to use them together and put my most needed items in the lumbar pack, which I’ll wear to security and then store in the big outer pocket. So excited! Thanks again! PS-I have the same Dell and am ecstatic it fits!!

Great video! Very helpful with making my decision. My biggest concern was fitting my 32 oz Wide Mouth Hydro flask but looks like it should fit. Exciting!
So glad the video was helpful! Pictures of the pack do not tell the full functionality of the pockets at all! I dont have a hydro flask for comparison but I just checked that both the water bottles i show in the video are 32 oz. Hope it all works out!
What you could do is use the chest straps and also loop the upper hand straps over the luggage handle as well to secure it more to the luggage. I just tried it and I think it worked just fine!

@@chopsuey8888 I think my only concern would be the zips facing upwards and not being waterproof, especially the laptop compartment. But I don't carry laptops with me so it should be no issue. I'm most likely gonna go for it. Thanks for the overview :)
So I went and got this eventually. I did run into heavy rain once where the water did seep through, but in the end they didn't advertise this as water proof so it's understandable, just something I need to find a way around. The organisation, capacity and aesthetics really are amazing. My only complaint after using it would be that the zips and material are not strictly on par with other carry gear at a similar price range, like Bellroy or Crumpler (both examples are Australian brands as that's where I'm from). In the end, thank you for the review, it really helped.@@chopsuey8888

Thanks for the comment! It can be worn as a backpack or handheld using the top short handles. This pack is not designed to be worn like a crossbody purse (it would be way too big and cumbersome).

Just one quick question, do you think the back/shoulder straps are sturdy and strong enough to use for a couple of years? I will mainly use it for work, travel and daily hikes.
The straps seem stitched on pretty well, so I would reckon it will last at least a couple of years without an issue. However, it will probably depend on how well one takes care of the pack and how much/often strain is put on it.

You're welcome! I have not used the bottom compartment to store lunch, but I probably would if I was working in office. It would probably work perfectly for that!
Hello! Thank you for making the video. Does this bag have a false bottom to the laptop sleeve? Or does the sleeve go all the way to the bottom of the bag? I'm hoping it has a false bottom to make it easier to get through TSA without an extra sleeves. Thank you!
Sorry for my late response! This is The North Face Never Stop Utility Pack and I bought it for $139 (before taxes) from The North Face website. It seems they have updated the look of this pack and no longer sells the version I feature in my video.
Thank you for this review! Is your backpack the dark thyme heather color or was it listed as something else? This looks so much darker and more army green than on the website.
The color of my backpack was listed as burnt olive green/new taupe green. It was a color option before the dark thyme Heather colorway was released. Not sure if the burnt olive green has been discontinued because of the new colors or just out of stock.

Anybody knows if they are discontinuing this bag? All the colours are out of stock everywhere except black on the north face website. Thinking if I should hold out for possible restocks of other colours but I'm scared black is the last of this product, that they might be discontinuing.
Hard to say what's going on. Some folks commented that they were able to find the backpack discounted on TJ Maxx, so I don't know if that means they are trying to get rid of inventory. Although, this same thing (all colors out of stock except for black on TNF's website) around the time I uploaded this video, but they eventually came out with a bunch of new colors!
Sorry for the late response! If you're talking about the inside pocket that's closest to the back, I would say, yes, it's big enough for a sizeable tablet. Sorry that I dont have a tablet that I can test out to give a more detailed answer.
I think so, but it will also depend on what you need to carry. If it's a laptop and a few books, then I think it'll work fine. The straps and structure offers great support for a heavier load too.

Hi! Honestly, it's too big for everyday carry, so I only use it when I go into the office or when I plan to be out and have a lot of things to carry. So, based on my infrequent usage, it's definitely been durable. It sits very comfortably for me with the padding on the back and the wide, padded straps. It works well for me, but your mileage may vary! Hope this helps!
I hate how hard it is to tell the size of the pack in videos and pictures. It looks cool and I want to get it for my wife as she attends university. But I'm afraid of it being too bulky. Not your fault. Just a camera thing as a whole I think.

Go for it! This pack is, in my opinion, unnecessarily labeled and marketed as a women's pack; I would say it can be a fit for anyone.

There's no false bottom. If your laptop is not too big, maybe you can stuff a shirt or something to create a faux false bottom.

Do you know what the 2 tabs are for on the back at bottom?
I imagine they're for additional uses of carabiners or ropes to secure items to the bottom like a yoga mat, blanket, etc.
