As a mechanic this is quickly becoming my favourite channel. I like how you've flicked between jobs in the edit. Keeps the interest up. Much calmer in your workshop than mine!
Loving the channel AND your methods. I'm a former Copier tech. I've attended more training courses than I can remember and the majority required a day of faultfinding, with problems set by the trainer on numerous machines, students out of the room. I would invariably get strange looks from the others when we came down to the machines and as they poked around looking for a wire pulled off, or a missing component, I checked the codes then went and sat down with the manual before coming back with a list of 3 things to check and a theory of what the fault may be. By the time the trainer returned, I would normally have narrowed to one problem and would take the trainer to one side to say (For instance) "I haven't repaired it yet, or looked at the connector, (Or sometimes taken the covers off!) but it's a disconnected wire or bad connection on pin 12, CN 268". 99% of the time I'd be told to go for a coffee and wait for the next machine to be free. . AT LAST someone else who does it properly!!! I hope Barney realises how lucky he is to have a mentor who teaches the CORRECT methods.
Great work .when you have the knowledge and a working out of the diagrams solving problems look very easy well done Barney you'll go far and what a teacher great kids Cheers.
I used to own a 205 GTI 1.9 in cherry red, just like the one in your shop. It drove like it was on rails and 4 wheel drifted beautifully when pushed in the corners. Happy days.
Now that is a great teacher. my dead (two years ago) DAD was also a fantastic teacher. I kown through a cruel twist of fate he eneded up MY religion teacher for a year. I miss him
Ha chaps.....as a plant fitter, I just love what you can do looking at the cars computers and fixing the fault... Me as a plant engineer......turn up on site with a multimeter and few other gizmos...... Nothing like your set up.....your in workshop I'm field with nothing.,..... Help......lol
Really common fault with these Pugs was a three way splice behind the dashboard fuse box. It corroded resulting in a voltage drop to the ignition coil.
I had a Citroen C4 Picasso in last week. We fitted tyres to. Customer took the car away come back the traction control light was on ABS lights and engine management light was on. I scanned the car. It comes up with injector 1 fault code. And the ABS was not communicating with the ECU. Put a new car battery on it and replace the injector one cleared all four codes. Drove the car for an hour and all the fault codes were cleared. I was stumped how the injector was related
I saw someplace else where on a car that has assisted parking all the sensors need to be working as it cannot park properly and so is deemed too dangerous to start
The LoadPro looks the tits! Love tools. Do you know if there are versions of it? Also, a comment about the Vdiag V200 pro. Looks great, but I'm surprised it doesn't have the option of a continuous tone. Your latest video on the Berlingo, you could hear what was happening, while Barney was under the vehicle, without seeing it. Similar examples could be while under a dash.

Your videos just keep getting better 👌👍

What I like is the teaching methods to the lad, Knowledge is Power.

we use meters so much more than scan tools, I’m not going to enjoy the game when software uses most things, thanks for watching, 🥕🥕

crazy mate
I'm enjoying watching your video, and the path you go down to find the faults. It's an eye opener
I saw someplace else where on a car that has assisted parking all the sensors need to be working as it cannot park properly and so is deemed too dangerous to start
they normally stop the full system but the rears would work fine but something was interfering with the front stopping it
Got to love French Cars
ohh yes
Had a 1990 205 GTI... terrible electrical problems, typical with French cars... And they were A LOT less complex then too😂
proper car mate,🥕🥕
205 always suffered with tachometric fuel
Pump relays by radiator. On race cars these were always bypassed.
I will check it out, jobs a carrot
Was the abs sensor powered or just an inductor coil? Barney s coming on in leaps and bounds.
I can’t honestly remember, but I would think powered, Barney is doing very well
@@rmsdiagnostics ok, likely pulling supply voltage down

I’ve not noticed it doesn’t have that feature.i will check it out
