ok so how do i get this campaign on my version? i have the gog complete version but im assuming that i need to finish all the other campaigns before i am able to get to this one. am i correct?
You need to finish the four Shadow of Death campaigns -- New Beginning, Hack and Slash, Birth of a Barbarian, and Elixir of Life -- to unlock the Rise of the Necromancer campaign
I don't disagree with that, but look at the quality (or lack thereof) of many of the latest titles to come out and be adapted... I'll pass on this one lol
@@ramsrock39 I must be having terribly bad luck then. Been doing a rerun lately and restarted couple of times but never seen tp in any of the guilds throughout the campaign. What are the odds! 😂
@@ramsrock39 been testing this for about a day and I’m pretty sure you can’t get them no more lol and idk why. I did about 21 guilds so basically the chance of it showing up would be about 99.01% which is practically like guaranteed. And I did not see it ever. A more direct proof would be extract the campaign maps with mmarchive and load them in map editor and check the spell settings but unfortunately I play the game on mac with a minimal VM so mmarchive doesn’t work for me
Probably not any time soon, no. I don't like HoTA and the changes they made to the game, and I'd rather play other games after (eventually) finishing these campaigns again
Ramsrock39 What changes did they made tho ? All they did is adding a new town to the game and a few new units, artifacts,... with some balance changes top but not not really noticeable. It's like an expansion made by NWC.
No, it isn't. Resistance was completely reworked, a lot of the build paths were changed, units were changed, and artifacts were removed. And that's just scraping the surface... but to say the changes are not really noticeable is just downright false
no build paths were changed and only weak units were buffed and in a very minor way. And they didnt remove any artifacts, dont spread misinformation. Only true thing is resistance rework

I use the HD Mod and the cranim.txt extension to speed up the combat

I read the story because I enjoy it, that's part of the reason I play the campaigns every year
