I like to believe that the stars aligned when Genius Sonority got the permit to make this game, and the subsequent effort (graphics, battle animations, etc) they put in to making their first game turned out to be phenomenal. Colosseum was my first Gamecube game. I loved it then, and I still love it to this day.🤣🤣

2:23:50 Aren't they supposed to be like, fame chasers? Because they hang out with Mirror B. and all over the more shadier, underground style collosseum areas? But yes. They are called 'Rocker' in the german version iirc, which is a slang term for our take on greasers and fancy biker people. So i think that's what they were going for with the design.
There's another Colosseum runner, Sparkle, who at one point dubbed Lapras "Bingus" for Ironmon, mostly just cause it was a funny name. His community loved it so much I guess it was put in as a bidwar name! I don't know if it exactly came from there but I assume it probably did, and I wanted it to win since I like my fellow Colosseum runners :D
Bingus is apparently the name of a hairless cat and has become somewhat of a meme. Whether thats implying Espeon is the hairless cat of the eeveelutions or not, I'm not sure.
this game is really challenging but purifying all the Pokemon and getting Ho-oh is tedious. But I liked using Espeon and Umbreon as well as the Legendary Beasts for the first time to complete a game. I wasn't able to use any of these in Pokemon Gold back in the day.
omg.... why the hell aint they calling out to the quilava to lower that heart gadge for speedrunning? edit... going for dig when they can go magnitude was gutsy.... also why doesn't folks go with grass from the city?
No calling because that uses a turn up and they'll unlock the necessary moves fast enough without it. If you mean why no Bayleef? They mentioned the issue with Razor Leaf being a weak move that hits both enemies (double the animation time0, but it's also got worse speed and attacking stats, so won't KO things as fast.
This game despite being over ten years old has some of the best battle animations of any Pokémon game

I am a MASSIVE Pokemon Colosseum fan. I soft reset myself an Adamant Shadow Vibrava and got every Gen 3 ribbon on him.
Vibrava is a good Time Flute target for an ingame run.
One of my favorite games from my childhood, which absolutely ruined my understanding of which pokemon were gen 2 or 3.
