These two do occasionally race as well but lately the races they do are focused more on catching certain pokemon instead of beating the game like this. These days when they play these modes it’s usually co-op, I really enjoy it too
The fact that this is a collaborative puzzle solving speedrun is super interesting. It's basically a microcosm of what a speedrunning community is, if you think about it. Because yeah, you have people who compete, but at the same time, everybody benefits from discoveries and new strats which are freely shared between the competitors. Because in the end, you race the game, not other people and I think that's beautiful.
That would be cool but I wonder who the challengers would be. Chris and shen do these co-ops very often but I haven’t seen others do co-op speedruns at this high a level

Called them the legendary dogs as a kid (I feel like I read that somewhere), which was confusing because Entei is a lion, Raikou is a tiger, and Suicune is spotted like a leopard. Still, I called them dogs, even though I thought they corresponded to cats, and chalked it up to a dub thing. I grew up with subbed anime and was used to things like dub gender changes and queer identity erasure, so this seemed to make sense.
I just wish E4 had been the check required, though it would have murdered the estimate so hard. Though parasect having bonemarang against swagneton was fitting at least.

I feel like in a lot of GDQ runs, shouting from the crowd is pretty rude but it added a lot to this run for me. Lots of laughs and funny interactions between loved it, thanks for the run Shen and Chrism :)

the guy that designed them (Saitō Muneo) is on record referring to them as "tiger-like" (raikou), "lion-like" (entei), and "leopard-like" (suicune); what makes dykgaming think they're not?
@@LiliGasanj It doesn't seem like Saito designed Entei with a lion in mind explicitly, and mentions it could go either way in dog/cats; but he did compare it to a lion, and it would make sense with Raikou and Suicune both in mind.
