YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO this was the first monster hunter game i ever started, planted a seed that got me to Fully start with 3U, been playin ever since! neat to see a speedrun of this game!
Good god just being able to hear the village theme again was enough to wake me up from being half asleep rolling into this on auto play. I love a lot of the quick kill strats from way too many hours on this game. One thing they mentioned and people might not realize is the monkeys and a few other monsters death throws can very much make you car and if you are observant the quest end timer doesn’t start until after the death throws are completely done which means you can very much fail a quest from a 3rd cart after you kill them in this game.
I wasn't able to watch this when it was live, but I'm glad that I have the opportunity to watch it now. Monster Hunter in a whole is such a special series to me, and the fact that this is being run and commentated by people that I enjoy watching makes it that much better.
Dang!! You did it 🥳! Oh my goodness!! This is amazing! MHFU is such a timeless classic! I still play it to this day. So, happy to see more MHFU content on TH-cam still popping up in Oct 2022 The shoutouts in the end is so wholesome!! GG 😃🙌
really fun run to watch, whenever i see the older games it really gets me in that classic monhun spirit. i got into the series with tri and i can't help but want to boot it up again while watching all those classic MH idiosyncracies one little tidbit during the monoblos hunt, it seems maybe rosianna's gotten a little rusty on her tracking skills, or more generously that *weird* animation bug was so jarring she couldn't easily take stock of the situation, but it did leave a dust trail to follow as it left! i was really surprised when it left and then she ran in exactly the opposite direction, and nobody else seemed to pick up on that either the tracking aspects of monhun are... one of many "simultaneously fun and annoying" aspects of MH. when i played tri as a kid i almost never used paintballs because of "afraid of using resources" disease, so i got *really* attuned to watching for all the various cues that help you locate and follow monsters. watching for diablos dust trails, staring at flying monsters' shadows as they leave to see which way they're heading, even things like aptonoth getting restless when a large monster's in an adjacent area, or stampeding out of the zone where that rathalos just landed, which i always thought was a really cool touch that made the ecosystem feel more alive and dynamic. it is a thing that i'm a little sad is gone in modern monhun, as much as rise really is a great and extremely fun game, having everything marked on your map from the start does take away a part of the.. "hunting" aspect of monster hunter
Wow, amazing seeing this game being speed run and commented upon. My fave in the series. 1k hour. Also old desert green plesioth bug that makes him stand still. Gotta use that xD
I have spend so much time in this game in school, I have memories of me beating the 2 rajang in arena with a fish sword and 0 heal after 2mn and go ultra instinct and survive 40mn with 5 pv. I've never experienced this thing with modern MH. Also I think my save is somewhere even if my psp is broken, I still have the 2 Black Diablos Quest to do ( the bugged one when sometime one monster have infinite hp) xD
I noticed that she didn't climb up to get the Khezu Welp on the Blango mission. I always thought the Khezu Welp was worth a lot of Zenni. Does anyone know why she didn't get it after winning the quest instead of going for rocks or whatever she did?

As a kid I spent around 2000 hours working my way through this with my trusty Imperial Sword LS. But what you people do... You scare me.
Meanwhile i spend 9000 hours in mh1 cause i had no psp :[

Being there to witness this live was certainly a treat. Three of the best people in our community showcasing what we do.
Great stuff,
Katanaeyegaming
What an impressive run! Love seeing longer form monster hunter runs too, so this was a treat!

This brings back memories to my college day, hunting with my friends on the PSP...
ITS THE SHAKA LAKA FROM THE TOP ROPE! BAI GAWD THE RUNNER IS BROKEN IN HALF!
Great run and commentary.
Man this takes me back.
Mad respect to the runner for mapping out that run and pulling it off.
💜
A master piece of a game
So true, Luna!
What a great run with great commentary. Awesome to watch, loved it.
As someone that's dumped hundreds of hours into just this iteration of Monster Hunter, Bravo.
51:10 fun fact you can also carve a feint death gypceros. You get wyvern tears
You could, but its not really worth it tbh. You could potentially die from the get up attack if you don't have enough defense.
Glad to see Rosianna in a gdq run!
I'm so happy to see Rosi in GDQ
That Tigrex hunt was CLEAN oh my freaking god
Legendary third liver carve
Nice run! I remember my first Shen Gaoren, couldn't win with a sword, so I used Gunlance shelling and beat it after a long hunt!
great commentary from everyone and great run all around.
Rosianna finally on GDQ!!!
Let's go!!! happy to see this speedrun
Love this game, love to see runs of it too! More MH!
Fantastic event!

This was really cool to watch. All the Sleep Bombing was nut to watch.
Very impressive run. The amount of tools juggling we had to do back then hahahaha
I just got this game, plus a PSP to play it on at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo. I am very excited to start playing as soon as my memory card arrives
9:35 triple the damage in FU
spent so long at school playing this and freedom with my friends. Was such a fun co-op game.

Great commentary like this makes about any run good to watch but this does look like a fun game.
I see Monster Hunter i press Like
3 hours in mhfu i was having trouble with killing the velocidrome.
As someone that put over 650rs into this game.. this is seriously impressive work

armor fella be like "Yo"
the amount of item managment really shows that its a game made by Capcom
Way back in the day kut ku was my first wall so I still hold a grudge against it
incredible
That was awesome
Giant enemy crab? Hit the weak point for MASSIVE Damage :)
I bought this game as a teenager because I thought it was monster rancher for some reason. One of the better mistakes in my life.
@2:30:35 when i Speedrun portable 3rd i use no bomb strats
good taste
How are they recording this?
What does “agro” means?
when an enemy is aware of the player (not just moving around idly).
MHFU is the best Monster Hunter Ever
Great
housed in exclusive regions
Awesome run and commentary. :)
