Ain’t gonna lie…he hid that thing good. That’s how you get someone to stick around and watch the whole video. And your reward for doing so is learning how to get someone ready to play “hide the spice bottle!”
Bas is a legend and I respect everything he said in this video. But young people need to know a few things about "street fights" (or getting attacked). 1. Run away. That's the best self defense technique you'll ever need. Keep your eyes open and if you feel danger, get out of there. 2. If you're Forced to fight this video is a great starting point. Use these techniques. But remember that your opponent will scramble. It's not always as simple as a right straight left hook. The other guy will be moving constantly. 3. Never bring a weapon into a fight unless the other guy does. If you bring out a baseball bat, there is a chance he could take it from you and use it on you. You might even drop it by accident and die because of it. If you pull out a knife, the other guy might pull out a gun. Keep that in mind
I still recall Bas mimicking a fight 5 feet in front of me. Guy moves so fast and hard, scariest I've ever been of an unarmed man ever ha ha. And I've been in MMA gyms. Yet he was super cool and nice to everyone.
And this is why you don’t start fights with strangers on the street. You never know when your gonna run into someone like this who isn’t going to fight you, he’s going to try to break/kill you. You wouldn’t even know what happened it would be so quick lol. Just wake up in the hospital with broken bones.

I've seen worse in real knock down drag out bar & street fights. Alcohol + violence = savagery. There are no rules outside of the ring, if you end up stuck in a situation like this it's best to throw "fairness" out the window and end it quickly with whatever you have at hand. I watched my friend's little brother turn an unopened case of 12oz beer bottles into a very effective case of carbonated exploding glass missiles lol. He was helping us by baseball throwing beers at the heads of the attackers while they were focused on fighting us, they were getting blindsided, knocked out cold before they even realized what was happening. The ones who didn't end up snoring on the concrete ran. It sounds brutal but we went home with barely any injuries. Some of them weren't so lucky, and the crazy thing is they were drunk as hell and outnumbered us so they started a fight for absolutely nothing. We were cornered in a parking lot so we just attacked them the second we realized they were not going to leave us alone.
Quite a few things in here I remember (and casually hated) from the Krav Maga classes I took ages ago. Also I love the (legit) use of hot sauce for defense!
Who would have thought salt and pepper pots could become lethal weapons; then there is the lethal tabasco sauce. I will never feel safe in a restaurant again.
7:15 is maybe the best advice in the video. I've seen hundreds of videos on TH-cam or Reddit of drunk idiots talking shit to someone with their hands down that get clocked in the face and KO'd who could have avoided it had they followed that one simple tip.
Heel hook is a bad idea since there is no telling if he has accomplices or not. I prefer a groin strike and an eye gouge to defend against a side headlock. Or, simply pick him up like Bas did but slam him at full force to the ground.
