    Utimately my goal is to break all of the composition rules - sucsessfully. I don't just want to make comfortable, predictably images, but interesting ones. But in order to do that, I first need to master the the rules! So thanks for this! I have so much to learn!

    • @ElenaRoche
      @ElenaRoche  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you master ALL the RULES, you will inevitably transcend beyond them and create unparalleled unique artwork. Breaking the rules is a modern myth promoted by artists who never learned all the rules and never understood what they were really for.

    Very GOOD explanation. I like Levitan a lot.
    Also save his painting, in a folder in my hard disk.
    I saw his painting, it's plain, very simple, beautiful, but until you explain it, I don't know, why the paintings is beautiful in my eyes..
    Levitan is a great painter, he can paint something simple to beautiful... Its a very difficult jobs...
    Thanks again.

    This is hands down the best video on composition & design. I can’t help but think of value zones & David Leffel’s work. Would love to hear your comprehensive thoughts on portrait design. 😌

    Bato Dugarzhapov’s writings (paintings) are brilliant compositions of hue and value. Regardless of the all the shit and trouble in the world Russia is creating, still, Russian painters are my favorites along with Picasso.

    • @ElenaRoche
      @ElenaRoche  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am interested in your thoughts on Picaso because you put him and the Russian painters in a kind of one group. Anything in particular that you can say that I will not hear from the generic "art experts"? Feel free to share. I am diving into Kandinsky's writings as of now. Picaso is on my list if I get the time.
