Oh my goodness, I loved them then and adore them now! They may not have the looks but they still have the most important part - the sound. They still hit the riffs, the key notes and love what they're doing. This just makes my heart so happy.
Oh man was that good. I'm just a few years younger than these guys. Its inspiring to see them still rocking all these years later at such a high level. Great song.
I've seen several (recent) performances by these guys and as a guy who is a singer and getting older myself, to see one of our hero's from back in the 80's, still being able to hit all the notes...It's impressive and I give him nothing but kudo's for it!!! I'm always like "MAN, he can still hit that note!!" haha
Its a backing track. Hes not really singing. Its pre-recorded. Look at 5:40. When you pull the mic saway from you that far the volume would not stay the same.
They're probably tuned down half a step to a full step, but ALL the older bands do that. Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest etc. I'm a singer/guitarist/bassist and 58 yrs. old and I feel like I've gotten way more control of my range, am able to sing higher with my natural voice with no falsetto and can do death/clean vocals in the last decade where before I couldn't do death vox at all. And I only practice when I have to record something. I think it's a combination of not smoking, making healthy choices and genetics, and some people just get lucky with the genetics. How Mike sounds so good in his current state is beyond me, but wow. Good for him.
I'm seeing Loverboy for the first time opening for Sammy Hagar in Saratoga in 2024. God bless them for still touring and making us 80s teens happy once again. These were great times !
Almost brings tears to my eyes hearing the crowd blow up when he absolutely slays the signature note he belts out. Rock on with your bad ass self, sir. Thanks for reminding us all that age is a number and time is bullshit.
It’s been interesting see our music heros age. It’s not pretty but it is amazing to see who’s still got it now. Mike Reno and Mickey Thomas are 2 singers who can still bring it.

Molly Hatchet had no chance to follow that show and didn't hit the stage for over an hour after Mickey was done..
@@alfromplymouth Yes, it's clearly a sample triggered by the keyboadist. However, I'd cut the singer a little slack because notes like that are almost impossible to hit properly at his age.

Not even close

Wow he still got a set of pipes don't he
I'm 58 my favorite band when I was 15. I still love them.
Man!! I cannot believe the time that has passed so fast. It was yesterday I was in school loving this. Now I’m 51.. wow! I’m blessed for being in that generation….
Takes years to build the MEMORY bank .. only take seconds to put u back there
Amen!
Totally. I was in the 5th grade in Wheaton IL. 52 yrs old now.
Same here
Yes yes yes
WOW..I can't believe he hit that high note! He still sounds incredible!
...I don't think he did. I think it was a backing track. It doesn't look like he's actually singing that, more of a lip sync. Just that high part tho. The rest he's definitely doing.
@@besticudcumupwith202 I watched it again and you might be right but it is hard to tell...
Yep. Sounds amazing, BUT I'd rather him do the lower octave than FAKE it. Love this band though. Rock on...
I think they downtuned to help him thru whole song but some of my favorite bands do that.
I was waiting for that note and Mike did not disappoint!
Dude. These guys had it and STILL have it. Theyre not over the top nor are they lacking in energy. Music can be medicinal and these guys are soothing.
I love them just as much today as I did in 1981, when I first saw them in concert.🥰
I'm gonna pack my bags and FLYYY! Such an iconic scream that always gives me shivers. I remember 1981 and Loverboy Get Lucky and ACDC Back in Black ruled the charts! Funny but that's how it was!
Brings back memories of HS. Good to see these guys are still rocking.
@@CC-jl7jzthey’re doing SOMETHING…..I don’t think rocking is it.
I've known Reno since about '74, well before any of his original bands......blew me away then (in a band called Synergy) and still kicks ass like no one else........I've known Matthew & Paul for decades (since before they were in Streetheart)......All these decades later, they still Kill it live....................Big respect..................hard, heavy, solid, bringing people to their feet - getthing them off and nailing it year after year without fail................................Kudos
Wow- they sound shockingly GREAT!!! I’m so surprised- most bands do NOT sound this good after this many years- wow- ROCK ON BOYS!!🤟❤❤❤
Folks, it is three chord music in 4/4 time----it's not that hard to master!
Tru
modern electronics......... alot of bands refuse to modernize their band but when your old and need help its the right choice....... I'm sure they use modern electronics to pump them up and bring back that iconic 80's sound!!
This is fucking awesome 🤯💯 I love this song and hear it on the radio all the time. I'd totally go see them. I wish them the best on any shows or tours they do.💯🌞
Dayum!!! You guy's sound freakin' awesome AF! 🔥🤘
Mike... Bro!!! Vocals still sounding better than ever!!!
Heck man.. the band sounds killer! Serious props to all the fellas!

He sounds AMAZING ! Even after all these years. I've gained a new respect for LOVER BOY .
Tampa Florida in July. On a stage full of hot ass equipment. In his 60’s and it’s gotta be 100 on that stage.
The level of respect I have for him is beyond words. 🙏🏻
I was there and it was HOT! 🥵
Try more like 110° with the heat index ... can't walk from the car into a building without dripping in sweaty freaking miserable heat index .... I'm shocked and amazed that he wasn't soaked and dripping in sweat !
Don't forget the 150% humidity.
I said the same thing I seen them in Syracuse NY Last weekend and I was so proud of all of them Reno killing it was giving me chills...I had to say they were better than the headliner foreigner
Very impressive that Mike Reno sounds this incredible after all these years ❤
I thought that was Dusty Rhodes 😂
Checkout Rob Holford of Judas Preist as he's around 74 and still belts it out live.

@@ibrstellar1080 Klaus Meine is 76 and can still sing his ass off. Latest Scorpions album sounds like they did in the 80's.
We're all getting old, out of shape, and our memories are fading. But our rock era will never die thanks to Mike and other 80's bands like Loverboy.
I, for one, appreciate it greatly. Thanks guys 🤘
in 20 years when we're all dead and gone this generation will wonder what to do, they'll have nothing like we had...
Lol. WTF? Speak for yourself!! And if you're out of shape, change your diet and go to a gym

Still on my playlist.
Loved it since I first heard it.
I was 15 then.
Keep rockin' guys.
it was actually played alot in the day!!!
80’s music is the best! Mike Reno and the fellas still killing it in the 2000’s. Thank you for keeping that awesome 80’s music (a)live so younger generations get to experience it!!
God bless!
I saw them years ago and could not believe how great Mike Reno sounded live. He is still amazing. Great voice.
That's freakin awesome!!!! Proof positive that just cause you got take your time a little bit when you get older doesn't mean you can't deliver just as sweet 😊❤
Seen em in 93, they were touring w/April Wine. Traveled to Fargo nd from sfsd and back in an iffy truck( it made it)( it spit a front drive shaft out but not that trip). When I got home, my apt door was unlocked. I had left $9000 on kitchen table and it was all there. ( I believe I got excited and forgot to lock door.) The other strange thing was they were playing at the fargodome and because sales were so low, the dome was curtained off and the stage was cockeyed from how it should have been. I wasn't about comfort @ 32 so it didn't matter. Crossed 2 faves off wanna see list!!!
Impressive🤘 A little worried about his health.
AGREE. I saw them a few years ago and they were awesome.
I don't think I have ever heard a male, rock singer who has a voice that has held up so well. He sounds just as good as he did 40 years ago. Another thing is that you can really tell that he knows proper singing technique. He sounds absolutely incredible.
I was just watching his mic technique
Agreed, but I'll put in a vote for Daryl Hall. He's 76 and still sounds incredible.
yea Bruce Dickinson still as good as he did in the 80's and he evenwent thry throat cancer and still sounds great even looks the same as he did inthe 80's not 40lbs heavier but guess I'm thesame 40 lbs heavier to so nit bashing jyst saying lol
Burton Cummings
The Demon of Scream’n Steven Tyler still has “em” all beat! Hands down.
Loved this band can’t believe it’s been 40 years ago. They still sound great
This man has taken great care of his voice! The band still sounds good after 40 years!
he hasn't taken very good care of anything else from the looks of him

*ABSOLUTELY STUNNED!!!!!!!!! Loverboy is my era, although I've never seen them live before. I've only heard this classic on the radio ever since then like the rest of the world. I happened upon this recent video of this live performance - and Mike Reno's voice today STAGGERS ME! It's SO INCREDIBLY POWERFUL AND EMOTIONAL! BETTER THAN EVER! I love these guys! Nice to hear how great Mike's voice stayed in the 1980's. He sounds great! Too bad we can't say that about Vince Neil.
Such an iconic and great song....they sound great live...
Love it👍👍👏👏
I saw this band a couple months ago with Kim Mitchell. I was simply blown away by how good the all sound, even 40 years later. Vince Neil should have taken notes for longevity from this guy. Mike Reno is such a great singer still to this day. Thank-you Mike!
Vince took eating lessons from him!
if he dosent keel over from heart failure... jeez
Vince never was a good singer, that's the difference.
You have to be able to sing in the first place to be able to keep a good voice lol. Vince was there because he looked like a rockstar, now he's lost that and cant sing 😂
This is definitely NOT a “Tubabee Tour”! I am blown away by how amazing these guys sound. Loverboy was my very first concert 40 years ago and they sound just as good today!
A classic from my youth…..And Mike Reno can STILL SING 🎤 ……. Friken awesome…. I couldn’t stop smiling... slamming drums , rocking driving guitar..... just frikin awesome.......
Mike Reno is a legend. Always loved his voice.
That’s talent. He rocks it & brings us all along with him. Such a great voice for his age & brings us right back to the 80s.
Much better than most singers from the 80’s and older than Vince meal
My very first concert ever was Loverboy. Quiet Riot opened for them. What a great way to be introduced to live music!!! Been hooked ever since and that was in 1983-84
Enjoyed seeing and hearing them Apr. 30, 1982 in Sudbury Ontario Canada, 42 yrs. ago. I lived in Elliot Lake Ont. and a friend and I were blown away by the two shows. The warm up act for them was a performer somewhat new on the scene ; Brian Adams ... loved both shows and these guys look and sound great still. Thanx
Voice hasn’t wavered in all those years; brilliant execution Michael and Band!
68 years old and still making GOOD LIVE music. Way to go Mike and Company.
Yes! Their sound is still incredible after all these years!
Tough to watch however. I'm 70 and they could be better fit to keep on rockin.

What an awesome thing to see all these years later. Makes me proud to say I was a child of the 80’s. What a great memory. Thanks guys.
LOVERBOY was my 1st concert over 40 years ago. They still sound great!
Mine too. The year was 83 in San Antonio Texas. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts opened for them. Still the loudest event I’ve ever been to. This was a 12th Birthday gift from my mother! It was awesome! 😎
My first concert was the Greg Kihn Band, if you remember them. :)
True talent lasts. Love hearing this band sound so good and Mike's iconic voice. Damn he sounds amazing
That song kicks sss, i have always liked that song👍😎🎉👏👏👏👏
The band sounds incredible and so does Mike Reno! A lot better than other singers from back in the day!
Its a pre-recorded track hes lip syncing.
You think so??
Except for maybe Tommy Shaw…
@@philh9238 Yes. When he got to the high part (which I was waiting to see) he did not physically sing that. So he is lip syncing. Why would you doubt it. It's industry standard these days. I wouldn't pay money to see a band do karaoke. Loverboy the band is awesome but if you can't pull it off, don't do it. I think these guys are talented enough that they could retool all of there songs to within their abilities and write new stuff.
Vince Neil sounds amazing these days
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Mike Reno sounding damn good as he ever has! And I know it can't be easy trying to perform in that hot and humid Tampa air, either! Props to him and the entire band!
Yeah that weather’s gotta be brutal
Feels like temps here in Tampa 100-110 daily - damn impressive!!
Yeah a little sweatting will do him good
He got a little flat on that last scream but honestly, I would start coughing up a lung so I don’t care, I d b running for a cold one 2 minutes in
Awesome to see these guys up there and sounding this damn good after so many years and still enjoying it all. Great job boys...
Oh my goodness, I loved them then and adore them now! They may not have the looks but they still have the most important part - the sound. They still hit the riffs, the key notes and love what they're doing. This just makes my heart so happy.
Anyone can sing like that still, from the 80's is Boss in my book! that's called a legend.
His voice is so strong!! I love seeing these bands still performing!
Those drums like clockwork and his voice still rocking
That day was hot as hell, I was there with my kid. Very professional and underrated band.
OMG amazing!!! He sounds so good! I smiled all the way thru it!
Oh man was that good. I'm just a few years younger than these guys. Its inspiring to see them still rocking all these years later at such a high level. Great song.
They are all great particularly Mike Reno...Amazing...want more!!
You close your eyes and you're back in the 80's

I saw Loverboy in the 80s. They opened for ZZ Top. It was such a great concert. They still sound great!! 😅
I love to hear the audience singing every single word!
Watch the keyboard player help him "hit the note"
He's singing in a lower key than the original....common for most of the older bands doing originals live. Still good though.
@MrTwister3356 I so agree been a Loverboy fan since age of 16 I turned 48 this past Saturday love Mike Reno.
Unlike a lot of aging bands, they still sound great!!!

It’s been interesting see our music heros age. It’s not pretty but it is amazing to see who’s still got it now. Mike Reno and Mickey Thomas are 2 singers who can still bring it.
You got that right, Mickey Thomas is totally incredible!
Mickey Thomas sounds phenomenal as ever and he's in his 70s!
I seen Mickey Thomas at a race track in Quincy IL years ago with three other bands Molly Hatchet and Little river Band were two of them cant remember the other he played third in line and when he was done the crowd was fired up .. Molly Hatchet had no chance to follow that show and didn't hit the stage for over an hour after Mickey was done..

LOVERBOY!! You guys have stood the test of time, Reno's vocals still sound epic!! What a treat! Thanks for the post🤘⭐
Dude's are playing without backing, and sounding great!! Reno still sounds on point! Hell Yeah!!
Opening act....no time
His voice is still great! As soon as he starts singing you know who it is.
2:54 clearly singing to a backing track.
@@alfromplymouth Yes, it's clearly a sample triggered by the keyboadist. However, I'd cut the singer a little slack because notes like that are almost impossible to hit properly at his age.
@@michelforest6329 I was pointing out one comment in particular that said no tracks, I disagreed, I have zero problems with tracks, I am 58 and a musician, so I am familiar with the effects of aging on everything, Again, non musicians dont always know what is up, but if a 70 year old sounds like he did 40 years ago, there is a reason.
Old Buggers still rocking like a bunch of CHAMPS! God Bless Guys! Fantastic job. Killed it.
