A tip on the wear indicators. Yes, they always go on the back but also there's a right and left. You want the indicator to be on the leading edge of the rotor when it turns. In other words, when the pad wears out and the indicator finally touches the rotor, you want the rotor to push or drag the indicator toward the pad. If the rotor pushes or drags the indicator away from the pad it will break it off and stop squealing. On the car you were working on here, with front mounted rear calipers, it would have gone on the top of the rear pad. If the rear calipers are mounted on the rear of the rotor, then the indicator would go on the bottom of the rear pad.
I have used baking sheet pans . They are 18 X 26 X 1" in aluminum . I get used ones that are being thrown out . They also have large plastic pans that go UNDER washing machines at the Home Depot , etc. They will contain leaks . These will catch dirt , grease and fluids .
Just as a quick tip . When I have a slide pin that is frozen I use a small torch and heat it up and turn it back and forth and that usually does the trick . I have had times where the pin starts to turn but then would snap . So I heat them if they are stuck at all . I use the map gas and a click torch

It's more the issue when you push back the piston you apply a lot of pressure on the whole system because you are pushing the fluid back up. In the worst case, you ruin some seals and then it's needs to be replaced. Air can't get into the system though, that is more the issue when you bleed the brakes. The optimal way is to open the bleeder valves when pushing back the pistons, so all the pressure goes out there. Of course then you have to check whether your reservoir is still full enough as you are losing brake fluid this way.
@@carterthemechanic9955 Well, no, you don't have to, but it lowers the chance to do some damage because then the pressure is going out easier. If you leave the cap on, the pressure has to go through a very tiny hole (because it has to go somewhere) and that raises the overall pressure in the system. The optimal way is to open the bleeders and don't push back any fluid at all.

Anyone can help my I have a 2005 Toyota Corolla battery light on changed my alternator and new battery but it’s still on it drives fine and has enough voltage but the lights still there any tips?
Clean up the battery terminals and check the battery wiring for corrosion. Check the charging system fuse(s) to see if it's blown and check for proper voltage at the fuse to see if it has power getting to it while the car is running.
First of all, check with a multimeter if the voltage is sufficient. Should be at 12V when off and around 14V when engine is running. If everything is fine and the light is still there, then it is either a bad wiring from the battery to the ECM or it's an issue with the ECM itself. You accidentally put the wrong key in your car and it locks you out from starting it for 30 minutes? That’s pathetic! And the engine shouldn’t even crank with the wrong key. What the heck is Nissan doing?

@@orinmangar2333 He said here this customer bought a key, it wasn't programmed at the place he bought it and it was used. How would an average customer know when the key is programmed or not? You could use one key, everything is fine then not even thinking about it use the new key instead and now the cars locked. Doesn't always have to be a stupid persons error
@@warehawk I actually had a similar scenario too when the 2nd key opened the car and you could turn everything to "on", but it wouldn't crank. Had to drive back to the dealership to also let the 2nd key start the car. Probably someone erased all the registered keys before and forgot to register all the keys back in. It happens
How difficult new cars can be
I have a old saab that easyly can be started by unconeccting the wires for the ignition but you need to turn the ignition to get the car out of reverse 😂 yes its in reverse when parkes its cinda smart tho
