    Just done BOTH front springs following this video. Was a doddle. Less than 3 hours doing it on the drive and just taking it slow. And including clearing up and test drive. I used a 13mm ratchet spanner for the 3 top nuts as access is tight especially for the furthest nut. Great video, cheers.

      How did you go about not using the special compression tool for the removal of the spring?

    Managed to replace my coil spring after it completely snapped in half following this video. Only struggle was the top nut on the strut but with the right tools it was done with ease.

    Are you supposed to torque up lubricated bolts ?

      @@autodocuk hi, when applying torque to a bolt, having lubricant on it will allow it to put more clamping force due to the lack of friction on the thread. This can cause over torquing of the bolt. The opposite is also true with rusty bolts - for the same torque setting less clamping force for the same given tightening torque.

    The one relevant tool that you failed to mention is that spring compression tool!
