re: Dead Rising 2, it's not just the money. They also hand out Zombrex, which is a treatment for chronic zombieism. The main character's got a family member who's infected.
Considering the Postal 2 music at the beginning, I was expecting the Sawed-Off Shotgun. Before the 20th anniversary patch, the thing was ridiculously powerful. Even after the nerf on the anniversary, it's still damn hefty.

the reason the Brecci is so OP is because Treyarch implemented a new damage system for shotguns in BO3; instead of the usual style of each pellet doing a set amount of damage, BO3's shotguns deal a flat amount of damage at all ranges, and then do bonus damage depending on how many pellets you hit. It was designed to make the shotguns more consistent, but ended up making the Brecci WAY too good at range. You didnt even need try and aim with it; as long as just ONE pellet hit the target, the spammy Brecci would always 3 shot.

The wrench in bioshock is, however, wearing another influence on it's sleeve: System Shock, of course.
