10 DIY UPYCLED HOME DECOR USING THRIFT STORE FINDS!

- Do you have some neglected treasures that you’ve purchased or found and aren’t using? In today’s video, I upcycle and repurpose ten forgotten items that I found in my basement and garage into beautiful and useful decor for my home. These projects include a caned bench given to me by a sweet neighbor, a chippy spindle left over from another project, and other items that I purchased at thrift stores with good intentions-a vintage wall shelf, a mirrored wall cabinet, a damaged magazine rack, a ceramic cat, a ceramic vase painted silver, an old Monet cardboard art print, a small three drawer cabinet, and a two-tiered metal stand. I think you’ll be amazed at how lovely these turned out. I hope you’ll discover the potential waiting in your own forgotten treasures.

Sherry, it kills me how you bravely whack off pieces and parts, pull out the glues and screws and go to town! If you’ve taught me anything, it’s to be unafraid when repurposing. And I especially love how you rescued that bench!
Oh, thank you, Donna! When I question whether to tear something apart, I always ask myself what is the worst that can happen? Of course, the worst is that I ruin it, but if it only cost me a few dollars, I figure the risk is worth it!

I’m so glad you found some good things! I headed to Goodwill today, too. I swear, it was almost like Black Friday when the employees brought out a cart of new merchandise. I saw several things in other people’s carts that I wish had been in mine, but I did find a few interesting things.

I rarely ever make a comment, because how many times can you say, “that’s awesome”! Or extraordinary”!? Which most of your projects are. I only decided to comment today because this video is a month old and you’ve had 89,000 views and less than 6000 people commented. There’s a lot of people out there like me, evidently, you need to start asking people to comment. Your algorithm is always something you should keep in the back of your mind.
Instead of shells, you can use old small pieces that mean something to you and glue them in and make a memory jug. ❤

I think the bird left blue would be better. The redo of the shelf with doors was lovely. The transformation of the dark wood small cabinet was great; Wow, the bench turned out beautiful & useful.

Loved the cash box storage rack - - it would look great in a bathroom with toiletries in the top part and perhaps some folded hand towels on the bottom wooden shelf. You are always so inspiring and it is amazing how you think "outside the 'box'"!❤

I know! The store clerk had no idea how expensive that fabric is (but, of course, the store got it for free). I am very selective about using it because I want to make the best use of it.

the small wooden wall-mount shelf with the decorative door....could it be an antique wall-mount bread box? i looked it up to see if there were such a thing and while i didn't see any, i am convinced that's what it could have been used for, lol. the mini frame-within-a-frame floral print idea is fab! i like the little mini shelf and (what looks like an old) cash box combo. how interesting!!!! your "neighborly" bench looks lovely with the newly covered seat.
