I use to make my newborn daughter hair barrettes with the ribbon in the first diy just like you did. I would see it to a small snap barrette. So pretty. I'd make Christmas ones with a bell in the middle and a small bow. Reminded me of Victorian type things I guess. Now days they use bows bigger than the baby's head. I'll stay with my beautiful diy bows. You can make as big or small as you want. Your flower cone is beautiful. Thanks for the memories.
I’m in my late 60’s and suffered some health issues last year. I’ve crafted and hoarded stuff all my life and I realized after I got sick that I was never going to live long enough to use all the things I’ve collected. I also realized that maybe someone like you could use my perfectly imperfect findings. I have no relatives to give the old family pictures to. I didn’t even have a clue who most of the people were. I did save a box of pictures of my parents, grandparent and great grandparents. These were pictures my grandma displayed on the piano so she talked about them and I knew who they were. I’m so glad to see a younger person use these artifacts to great affect. Thanks for the great video! And this is why you find family artifacts at thrift stores and tag sales.
After you saying you will never use all the things you've collected over the years, it seemed as tho you were giving it all to someone but I guess not.. I do hope you're feeling much better! 💐💌
@@badabing9143 Yes, I feel really well, thank you! It just made me realize that things must be dealt with. I give loads of things away and make donations to the Goodwill and Salvation Army thrift stores.

My mother had two strokes last year and while helping her get things in order I found out she is a worse hoarder than I thought. We found 17 pairs of scissors. I get it when it is three, one for material, one for crafting and the last for thin wire (this had been the oldest pair in my house but I added them to the pile and found a much better pair in moms mix. I bring this up because I want to make a "sewing" wreath. With wooden spools still holding thread, buttons, lace, a few embroidery patches and the scissors, I think it will be perfect for my craft area. I intend on putting most on with wire to make it so they can be taken off if needed. No more wondering where the scissors are!

The wreath is stunning. I really like shabby chic. Your frames are beautiful !! I love the witches hat. It's awesome. I remember my mom saving the Walnut sells that didn't break when she shelled the walnuts. She goued the halfs together and eirther painted them red, or wrapped them in tinfiol and green. She made popcorn, and we strung them for a garland. We also made paper chains. That's all that I remember. N My tree now has lots and lots of handmade ornaments.
My fondest Christmas memories are from my grandparents...they cut tissue paper in square s and wrapped chocolate candy in it tied with bakers twine and hung them on the tree with vintage decorations ❤😊
I have about 6-8 of those pictures that i bought at an antique store 30 years ago., most of mine are tin. They just called to me. They are awesome and eerie at the same time. 30 years. I never knew what to do with them. Theres a reason you are one of my most favorite!
Love Victorian type items, but also love Vintage, Antiques. I just wish I had some old family photos from generations back, I would love to know what my great great great grandparents looked like.
It breaks my heart to see old pictures and things being thrown away and not wanted by family. It's sad. I hope that all of our family pictures are treasured and passed down. My little sister has them. This makes me miss my Momma and MawMaw so much. They loved to craft too. I enjoy it too. Thank you for your creations!
I inherited all my family members' photos, so had several duplicates of each print. So I kept one of each and got rid of the rest, not because they weren't wanted but because I don't need duplicates

Love the owl in his cage. One thing that I think might have just finished it off would have to add just a tiny bit of pale gold paint on his eyes. I can’t decide if the owl or the witches hat was my favorite. All projects were amazing, actually.
