Professor Saheb speaks with the privilege of a dharam parcharak who has had his understanding of Gurbani tested and forged through decades of debates and discussion just like this.
A few hundred cassettes and cds and even unofficial recordings, Singh Saheb was like a kaum da hera. Then something happened, the details I'll neglect and his position in the hearts of so many changed.
IMHO I wouldn't like to speak ill of Singh Saheb because he has served the duty of Gurbani parchar with full effort but I would say perhaps Singh Saheb has a strength of character which supercedes the position of a parcharak in the way perhaps risks his sense of himself, his hõ-mé, intertwining itself into the katha vichar in a way which may risk alienating some of the sangat causing divisions. Let it not be true.
I always saw him as more Guru's political campaigner than katha parcharak because often his explanation required a level of intelligence to appreciate which can lead to misunderstanding sometimes.
if professor Saheb had the gift of bringing together all areas of the sangat who have chosen to follow some more defined paths in Sikhi. Some may follow saints such as nanaksar samparda for example, then Singh Saheb would have been a formidable né phenomenal force in Sikhi today.
It's just my little informed observation after having professor Saheb in my life in some varying degree for the last 40 years.

Last week i was at the Antim Sanskar of someone in Faridabad. It really pained me that the "Bhai" , sorry I can't even call him "Ji" or "Saheb",read out Jap Ji Sahib using his mobile.Lakh di Laahnat ohde te.He can't even perform his job as a Bhai....and he was paid atleast 1100 Rupees.Gurdware ch beh ke apna kamm v ni kar sakde....Rotiyaan torahan joge ne.
And yes the Lady who was cremated, had done Sehaj Path of Sri Granth Sahib Ji as her Antim Path and had instructed her only son not to keep Akand Path for her Bhog as she had already done it herself.

You are so right about maryada Giani Darshan Singh ji. We watch on TV about Patna Sahib that they even do Aarti of Guru Granth Sahib and right next sitting Dasam granth. Media doesn't highlight that Patna Sahib doesn't follow Akal Takhat Sahib's Maryada. Those Giani's have beard tied and their dress code doesn't look right. Media need to highlight Other Takhat maryada's if they are following Akaal Takhat's Maryada. What they say and do doesn't match.

his saying that there was no ardas before 1945 is absolutely wrong.. my grandfather was born in 1910 and he used to tell me that used to recite ardas in school .. present ardas was written in 1945 but earlier also ardas was there .
. this man speaks without facts. he considers himself to be very intelligent but sadly is not....request this channel to verify this and ask him to revert back.... many Sikhs near age of 100 are alive and they can tell if ardas was there before 1945 or not

They may have recited a concept of A ardaas, as Prof ji refers to g.granth shabad, but the man made dictated ardaas was not around to be read. There is major difference in ones understanding.

I used to like him very much becasue he done good keertan in past and he is very intectual.But after his tenure as AkalTakhat jatehdar but he is doing is against the sikhi and sikhism.He turned into proper hypocrite because but he preach as a Akal takhat jatehdar and before he is saying total opposite who is behind this change we do not know but we lost a great scholar to anti sikh forces.

Thei main message is, we don't truly learn for ourselves, but rely so much on hearsay, exactly what brahmins/rss want and happening. As we get older, we can learn more and become wiser and change our thinking for the better because not everything in life we do is always correct. Dasam Granth is a Brahmanical granth.
Sikh is a Panth and not a KOM or tribe. Bhindranwala was neither a Sikh nor Khalsa. He was a terrorist. Sikh is a Naadi Roop never born and never died. Unless you are a Hindu son of Brahma, you cannot be a Sikh, the son of Parbrahm.

Satguru Ram Dass Ji refused to accept Landed property for Harmandir Sahib, this Foolish Jatt allocated lands to Gurdwaras as well to breed greedy Mahant. Greedy Khatris enjoyed Gold plating to Harmandir Sahib making it a place of attraction than of learning as that of Bhagat Farid Ji in Faridkot.
