The dropped stitch cable pattern is an absolute winner in my 60 years of knitting I have never seen that technique. I'm going to have to try that one now. much love ❤❤❤
Hi! How well do you think the vest pattern will translate using Google translator? Also- where did your daughter get her cute slacks? (In your Ravelry project page picture) ❤
Cleaning. I was worried. I’ve never cleaned my needles. I think you mean “cleared”. English words are always weird.. Do you know the Icelandic crocheter, Tinna T? She has a crocheted shawl with something called the Viking braid that uses something like the same thing bringing up stitches from the bottom when you are finished. What you showed reminded me of that. th-cam.com/video/imV9xnv18gk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7x7lZqsRBAyZgzlW Always enjoy my knitting or crochet time watching your podcasts.
i agree stephen west's patterns can be a bit out there for wearing everyday, but he is a fantastic teacher and i always learn a lot from his videos, and i love his positive energy. i used that zauberball parrot colour to make a pair of socks for my dad when he was in hospital. he got a lot of comments from the nurses about his multicoloured socks.
Sarah, I have 3 dogs so I know about shedding. When you learn something from someone they TEACH you or they have TAUGHT you(past tense). Love the vest - beautiful work. I would never be brave enough to drop all those stitches 😳
Wonderful technique!! Thank you for showing it to us! I enjoy learning something new. I would love to learn to knit continental, but it's hard to start over with learning to tension again. Your English is very very good. I applaud your diligence with our crazy language. I also love your new daily schedule, Sarah. Thank you!
I too am joining the Popalooza MKAL. I have never joined one of his KALs before but I thought doing a sock pattern would be OK. It’s not the investment of a shawl or sweater.
Hi Sara, Thank you for another heart jumping episode! I am new to you, and also new to Fridays and I have a question...sorry if it is a repeat, I have not seen all your past videos. Can you tell us about your knitting wish list/ knitting que? I noticed you do not have anything in your Ravelry Que. How do you keep track of your to knit list? Also, how do you decide what to knit next -and what to put on your list? Just curious! Thanks so much for sharing and being my new knitting friend. ❤Carley😊
Sarah! Thank you for sharing your adventures. What a successful knitting technique too. I love that it gives such a pronounced stitch definition. It gives the bulky yarn look without using the heavy yarn. A big 👍 👏
Oh Sarah all I can say is you are just a total delight, thank you so much for these daily videos, gives me and all your viewers something wonderful to look forward to each day, Debbie ❤
I love that dropped stitch cable and I’m so pleased you told us about it, I had seen it on the sock for your mother-in-law and I was wondering how you got that effect! Thank you. ❤
I loved that dropped stitch cable! I confess that I gasped when I first saw you pulling out your stitches, but then the beautiful cable so quickly appeared! I definitely want to find a pattern I could use this technique on, and also add some woolly tattoos.
I love a 3x1 rib for socks too. The little detail of unmatched top of sock also bothers me so I add a purl stitch on the top of the foot and just decrease it later. It doesn't make any difference overall but the foot looks a lot better!

Your dropped stitch cable demo was amazing. As an inexperience knitter it was scary at first to watch but your experience took away my fears.
I think I saw that colorway on Etsy. Dang it! It knit up gorgeous! I never know with some of them. I'm still new lol

Ha! By the title of the video, I thought you had dirty knitting needles and was going to wash them!!
It’s called a vest in English. I like it! Wish it came in English.
Loved that dropped cable stitch. 🇬🇧
See you tomorrow!!! Thanks 💌
That Dropped Stitch cable was so fun to watch. Neat process. 🌸🌺🌼🌻
