Have a lovely break! I am on a 4 week road trip in the South Island of New Zealand with my husband. It's winter, so we're not camping. I packed 5 knitting projects before packing any clothes😅 so yes! Us knitters think of the essential knitting first!

Oh WOW, France and maybe Italy, I may be a but jealous ! I love Australia, but sometimes I really feel such a distance from the world, especially when you want to travel. Also verb to cast is irregular as past tense is cast as well. Yesterday I cast on a sock.

Hi Sarah, it’s Marion Jay here from Cape Cod mass I haven’t seen you in a while. I’ve been sick and I have diverticulitis and went to the hospital for five days and now I’m doing pretty good. I’ll be back in shape. I guess very soon so you enjoy your vacation, my dear and I just wanted to tell you that I got a pair of Birkenstock sandals. They’re not the good ones like you buy but when I went to buy them, they were $350 and, I thought they were 30 ha ha ha so surprise for me however they said that they got a good deal with Birkenstock and they do have their name on them and they’re kind of a foam some stuff but if you love Birkenstock you love these and I do I love them and I got yellow for the summer so I just want you to know that cause I know you wear them all the time and enjoy your vacation. God bless to you and your children and the family, and I’ll be looking for you when you come back home
Thank you for the link to that braid, it is a lovely finishing touch and looks quite simple. I am just like you and the first things I pack for a holiday are my knitting/crochet projects, then the books I want to read or listen to while I’m away. My clothes come last!

I love that headband and have now cast on one. thank you so much. Just another Englishnd we say 'wid-th' as in the short sound of 'i', not the long sound as in 'wide' :-) . when a yarn is not tooeasy we say forgiving, not forgivable. I always smile when I hear it. And I was just wondering - do you always cross your legs when you sit to knit or crochet at the table? It's not good for veins in legs. xxxxx

I would like to ask you for your recommendation. Do you know any yarn stores in the South of the Netherlands? We will be on vacation in the province of Zeeland in a village named Groede. It is located near Sluis and Knokkeheist next to the Belgian frontier.

That is a lovely "braid" on your sock, however it is not a latvian braid. If you want to see one, check Fibertales Lumi socks. There you can see a real latvian braid. 🙂
How much yarn do you end up using for your slouchy socks?
