Why didn’t Church people stand up for children when they were horribley abused. Me and brothers were abused by so so called Christians and people in the Church knew what was happening and did nothing. People who say they are Christians are as bad as Muslim grooming gangs.

What I have realised over the past few years is that the worst thing to happen to the indigenous population of the UK is that we have lost our faith . I never realised how important it was until you realise that a population that doesn't believe in anything will believe anything . We have lost our moral compass , it was the glue that bonded society together even if you didn't go to church we still had a Christian upbringing . It's why the Muslim community is strong because their faith bonds them together . Without faith in something unworldly then we become rudderless with just the rule of man only and humans unfortunately by nature are corruptible .

Singapore is a secular country. We have no state religion. No one religion has a paramount place in the table of fellowship.
But we are a very religious people, with more than 80 per cent of our population identifying with or practising a religion. And yes, we continue to have very conservative views on the family, marriage, and morality.
It is not secularism but a liberalism that has jettisoned civility, social propriety, manners, decorum, and really, a patriarchy of the previous century that to me, has done more good than this current bollocks.

46% of the population self-identified as Christian. That is NOT the same as 46% of the population actually being Christian. A lot of those who self-identify as Christian know nothing of the actual religion and merely call themselves "Christian" as part of an imagined cultural heritage. A far, far smaller proportion of the population is actually Christian and that has always been the case.

Do 46% of the whole population of England and Wales actively profess Jesus as their lord and saviour, and have they repented their sins? Absolutely not. If the number were anywhere near that high then the UK would be a VERY different place culturally and societally.
Far less greed. Far more charity. Far more honesty. No one is perfect of course so there would still be problems, but a lot of problems we have now would be a lot smaller in magnitude.
I repeat: a large section of that 46% simply call themselves "Chrstian" because they "live in a Christian country" (which they don't). They know nothing of the fact that no one is born Christian and you must actively choose to become a Christian. They know nothing of justification through faith. They know nothing of repentence and think you can get to heaven "by being a good person".
I have no idea what the exact number of actual Christians in the UK is. My guess? 10% or less of the population.

People in Great Britain whether they are Christian or not in virtually every respect of their lives are fundamentally Christian without realizing it because they live in a society that has been shaped and molded by Christianity for over a thousand years. Their sense of tolerance and equality, morality and ethics, comes from Christianity alone.
So when people want to say that Christianity plays no part in anything they are not only ignorant of the facts they are blind to the reality that they live in a Christian country even if it is now a minority in Great Britain. We live in a society that is biblically illiterate and never truly had proper all around education for them to see the strings holding society together going back straight to Christianity.
Religions may seem similar superficially on the surface but when people dive deeper into it there is absolutely no comparison between Christianity and islam and other beliefs.
After all there is a reason why it is 35 times more likely to see an Islamic terrorist than it is to see any other kind of terrorism because it's in the ideology. It's completely counter to the Christian ethic of love and acceptance. People ought to have a crash course in their own nation's history on the theological level, I recommend the historian Tom Holland and his book Dominion concerning how Christianity and Christianity alone shaped the western world.

I would point out what every historian and philosopher worth anything would say to that... you cannot obtain the morals and values of Christianity in a secular society... whether that be communist China or the Soviet Union or North Korea or Cuba or even the French Revolution one goes down a path of destruction without anchoring those morals and values in the absolute belief that there is a God: Father Jehovah, Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit All Three in One and One and the Same Who Are the One and Only True Living God.
The postmodern world is not a continuation of Christianity but rather a return to those pagan times of plurality, confusion, violence, greed, and chaos. The only progress this world has ever known is because of Christianity and nothing else.
