The managerial headquarters of my church is hopelessly woke. However, the people in the pews are not at all woke, they are fed up with it.
It is sad that the church is being led by the people /politics and no longer by God.
So if the people in the pews are fed up with it why don't they leave?
Some have spoken up for a Reconquista of churches like that. Stand up, and change it from within. I'm not sure if that's always possible?

Emma - if you are at all a committed Bible-believing Christian, you have got to get away from the CofE and find a real Christian church where you can actually grow in the faith along with other like-minded genuine believers. I believe that the CofE is now too far gone into blatant apostasy for any genuine believer to remain in it.
There are evangelical Anglican churches which disagree with the General Synod etc and they stand alone proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ!
She should find a GAFCON Anglican Church. The CofE is done for.

Whether that can be said of any other Diocese in Australia I do not know. What I do know is that there are biblical passages which are more relevant to the harsh reality of life (e.g. Covid) than anything else I have read. Born into the comparative poverty of post world war two Britain and now considerably more materially affluent, I see how see how little joy that materialism has brought to those we meet in the street. I think the woman has got it right.

I was brought up in the CofE and I’m struggling to understand where I fit in to this version of the church.

When I go to church I don't want hear political rhetoric that supports the views of a particular political party etc! That is why any "good" military organisation advise there personal not to discuss/debate religion, politics or particular women (by name)!

I though the Christian Church was about personal salvation so that we go to heaven when we die, not about politics. Aran Bastani talks rubbish. Climate changes all the time, it has changed continually over the whole history of the Earth, so much so it is completely platitudinous.
30 years ago I had the misfortune to be doing Scripture in schools with an Anglican minister in charge of 2 parishes. He was proud of his Anglo-Catholic staus and told me he had refused to sign the Articles of Faith at his ordination as he didn't believe almost all of them. He wasn't the only non-believing Anglican minister even then.

I'm wondering why these people have to get themselves attached to the church when they can form their own associations and have their own things going. It is when an association fully believes in the bible and completely practices what the bible says that we can say that it is a church. Otherwise, it should be called something else. Why on earth have Bristol cathedral allowed that to go on? The cathedral is a place of Christian worship not for these weirded goings on! Maybe it was a good money spinner if they paid to use the cathedral? Cathedrals now seem to be happy to let any old event take place if there’s money to be had to help pay for cathedral upkeep.

As it's not the RC Church or the Eastern Orthodox Church because they came later and the church was already beginning to embrace non-Biblical teaching and traditions by the time of Nicea. Let's just say that the Body of People, the Ecclesia that Jesus Christ brought about through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is vastly different than the mess we find it in by Nicea. And it has never successfully returned to the Acts of the Apostles Ecclesia despite several attempts to do so. I say this again, the Ecclesia of Christ Jesus can never be in unity, unless every denomination drops it's bias and returns to a true Biblical organism it was meant to be by living in complete obedience to the teaching of Jesus Christ and the teaching of the Apostles. This is judged by Scripture in context. The Church of England may be on it's way out, but the true Body of Christ is alive and out there taking the Gospel where it is needed, despite the fact that it's fragmented. One day the Holy Spirit will move these nobody Disciples and unite them as a force to be reckoned with that hasn't been seen since the 1st century!!!

He's not worthy to be called a Vicar. A Vicar is somebody whom Jesus Christ lives through vicariously - hence the word 'vicar'. A Vicar is an earthly representative of Christ. Welby cannot claim to be a representative of Christ.
The problem with the Anglican 'Church' is that it's easy to get a job - you don't have to believe in God, just write a few nicey nicey sermons on a Sunday - you get a free house, no bills to pay, a pretty little wage etc. All of those clergy who don't believe in God should be sacked!
