I purchased the 2015 Santa Fe Limited Ultimate AWD, 3.3 motor, black on black.. and I love it. I have no regrets, I am 54 yrs old, 6'2 and 250 lbs. I feel very comfortable driving it and have head room and leg room. The v-6 gets up and gets with the program.
Hey there, I have a 2016 Santa Fe sport, which is the smaller version of this car but is the same mechanically. I have the base model with the 2.4 engine (non turbo) at 55,000 miles and I’ve had it since new. I haven’t had any issues or complaints really,it rides nice, decent power but not great, easy controls and a decent sound system . Nice car all around
I have a 2015 Santa Fe Sport (4 cylinder all wheel drive) with 78,000 miles on it and love it. Only problem I had with it was a crank sensor went out, which can happen with any car, so I don't blame the model. Now yesterday the engine light came on, and the dealer scanned it for me. I guess one of the rod bearings is out of tollerence, and with that little mileage on it, Hyundai is going to replace the engine at NO cost to me! After doing some research, I see that they have had a problem with this engine and decided instead of fixing the engine, it cost about the same to just replace it with a new one. Works for me!!
Hyundai has absolutely stepped up their game the last 4 years or so. I think they still have a bit of work to do with their interior quality however. The GF and I test drove a few Hyundai's and I found that Subaru and Honda have nicer feeling interiors and seats. It was pretty apparent driving them back to back. Regardless, I'm sure they'll sell a lot of them.
I have a 2014 Ultimate and am very happy with it. It looks good, good engine power, very spacious, good navigation and entertainment system, just wish they would have given it the Nappa leather like my Azera had. I can start it remotely from my phone or Moto 360. I can get up 30 mpg on the highway at times. I will say Hyundai needs to make their suspensions a little better, my Azera had the same issue. The interior materials are just fine and the rear AC/heater controls keep groceries or food nice and cool on a long drive, my dog likes the blinds on the rear windows and the massive panoramic sunroof is damn nice and it tows pretty decently. The reclining heated rear seats are also very nice when riding in the back (I have the bench seat) and storage in the front is pretty good and I am sure I will appreciate the heated steering wheel in the winter. I kind of feel like you had a lot of bias that influenced this review and I could see it coming through which was disappointing. The Santa Fe is not perfect, but it seems like you really went out of your way to make it sound like it was not as good as it is. If you are going to do a review and a long one, you need to cover all the features of a vehicle properly, you missed a lot of stuff. Whether this was intentional or not I have no idea.
Here in NZ we only get the "Santa Fe Sport" but it's named "Santa Fe" It comes with 7 seats in all and a Diesel engine upgrade to the 2.4P.. Really in depth review. I like the look of this car.
I have the 2015 Sonata Limited with the ultimate package and it has the LDW, ACC, FCW and of course the high density headlights. I am surprised this one doesn't offer any of that weird!
Had a 2014 GLS for 5 years as my first car, idk if it was just an issue in my particular car but I had steering issues like the steering got super stiff, my uncle is having the same issue right now with his 2017 Kia Sedona so idk if it’s an issue with the Kia/Hyundais
Naveen S I know...Dude,its really stupid what you saying,"poor"and etc...Why you hate other car brands? Why???if you dont like something dont watch, its simple...respect other people and cars, stop this idiotic hating...
Interesting how those two vehicles compare nowadays. The Sorento now has less features than the Santa Fe (even when it's maxed out in their respective top trims.) I also find it ironic how he mentions that the acceleration seems a bit sluggish and yet he still mentions that the fuel economy isn't that great. Now it makes sense why he bought a RAV4 Prime recently which is pretty much Toyotas quickest accelerating vehicle with desirable fuel economy.
this ain't a bad car, i looked at one at a fare and must say, it kinda grew on me the 10 minutes i inspected it. seats we're kinda hard though. but as you said they hold you in quite good and the suspension soaks up most bumps. would make a good Taxi cab. not that overpriced either i must say.
@agentlowe I have watched all his reviews from Hondas to Nissan to Ford's. I like his reviews the best because he is very specific, quick and to the point. last week I Purchased a Chevy Equinox and I love it - I watched his review on that one too. I just really appreciated what he had to say and it was good information for me to make my choice. These reviews are great for first time car buyers or looking to get a new car in general.
It would sway me from Pilot, Highlander and Explorer, because all three are ugly! Well, the Explorer and Highlander don't look that bad, but the Pilot was never attractive to me.
@@alexclassic4115 same exact company, if it was engine failure then Kia has that problem as well. 2015 limited model gave you issues? Or a different year
Hyundai = Toyota wannabe. That's their new slogan ...All their cars remind me of Toyota's. I love how they are stepping up their game but they are getting too expensive for what they are. They are no longer value leaders. You can get a Toyota or Honda for the same amount of money and have much better resell value.
Max Well Hyundai offers revolutionary styling to all their cars that separate them from the crowd..Toyota designs their cars to blend in with the crowd with very little style. Hyundai offers tons of valuable luxury features at a bargain price..out of the few luxury features Toyota has to offer, you have to pay out the ass to get them. The window sticker may show a higher price and may look about equal with the rest of the competition, but Hyundai still offers plenty of cheap value packages loaded with technology features for their lower trim vehicles. Hyundai gives you more freedom to put the options you want in your car..Unlike car companies like Nissan, Toyota, or Honda, where there are almost no package options to choose from, the only way to get certain luxury features is to buy a more expensive trim level. Hyundai gives you the option to put many of the luxury features found in top trim Honda's and Toyota's into their lower trim vehicles...so no, I don't think Hyundai is trying to be like anyone. They've established themselves as a stylish, luxurious car company at an affordable price tag.
Max Well "Hyundai = Toyota wannabe"-what?Koreans and Japanese are very reliable." I love how they are stepping up their game but they are getting too expensive for what they are."-everything gets expensive...its a life, everything is changing...Like bokkey45-said,they offer you much more with warranty and etc...
We don't want to FEEL ANYTHING, we're working people with kids. Quiet, numb, and smooth with decent gas mileage is all we care about. And if you were as heavy footed as you were during your review I can see why you got poor gas mileage.
thecarelectronicguy DoubleD 613 Mazda is overrated. I drove a Sonata 2.0t and it felt plenty fun to drive for a FWD midsize sedan. It felt like a much smaller car than it was. It handled very compliantly, there were times where I felt like I was driving at snail's pace, until I looked at the speedometer and saw I was going 25 over the speed limit. Steering was nicely weighted, throttle input was perfect, acceleration and braking were silky smooth. I was seriously impressed by the car, and sometimes I even consider buying it in the future as my next car...and believe me, that's saying a lot, because I've driven a ton of midsize sedans over the years...and the Sonata is one that really stood out to me. I also drove a 2014 Mazda 6, which didn't impress me in the slightest. Basically drove like every other mundane family sedan out there...there was nothing about the car that really stood out to me or made me want to buy it. Also drove a 2012 Mazda 3, same story. Road noise was unreasonably loud, interior felt chintzy, and in the 30 minutes I drove it I didn't get any feeling of..well...anything...let alone "sportiness". Even the Accord feels sportier and has a more composed feel to it than the 6, IMO. Plus the 6 feels really damn slow and underpowered compared to the Accord, or even the Sonata. I used to shit talk Hyundai and praise Mazda, until I actually drove a few of their offerings....now I have completely different opinions. I no longer shit talk other car companies until I've actually seen what they're like myself.
Hyundai cars are extremely reliable. You Shouldn't Judge The By The Standards Of 20 Years Ago When They First Came Out. Honestly Mazda isnt the quality it was 10 years ago.

4 years after the review, how is this vehicle driving for you all? I would like to know if it has any known issues or any recalls in the past 4 years?
I want to know this as well

GBraidi78 I do.
All your reviews have really helped decided which cross over is best for me !!! Thank you. !

@@CACar_Nation No. It's no more a problem than any other brand. Infact the recalled on most of the major brands is a major problem compared to mine.

Will there be a review of the 2015 Ford Expedition with the EcoBoost V6?
Great Review Of 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. 😁
The screen in the Sonata is also 8", the only bigger screen is the 9" screen available on the Genesis sedan.
I'd say it has pretty good gas mileage. It gets the same as my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant so for it to match that with double the weight is pretty good.

i really want to buy it but if a new one is coming i can wait.
thanks for the video my mom just bought one last week :)
Me too. I'm not a big fan, but I like the key...
Very professional review thanks
Is santa fe comes with the diesel engine? Non sport
no leave that to the Germans
I think in some countries they have diesel. Im not surprised they also build buses and trucks
Could you maybe review a 2013/14' Honda Accord Sport? Thanks, and nice reviews as always!
2016 nissan maxima pleaseeee!!!
No more Hyundai's!!! Go back to Honda and Acura! 👍🏻💪🏻👌🏻
