Great research, I really enjoyed this! Just a little advice, get better mics for the cut-away parts of you speaking. It’s hard to hear you and sounds like it’s underwater. This is unfortunate because it breaks the continuity of your story telling and production. I never offer critique unless something is good - so I hope you’re out a little effort in polishing this up because it’s enjoyable and educational.
I know the speaker on my microphone actually blew out and I didn’t know until after I had already filmed 😢 so I did what I could with the sound, but it was really disappointing for sure. I have a new one now.
Outstanding history video
Thank you so much.

Thanks! Stay tuned next week for its sequel Verdi.

Thank you. I’m glad you liked it
Great video. Love the real visit to the location.
Thank you, I like to physically go and experience what is (or isn’t) left.
@@mapadventures history is always best understood with some physical connection to it. Thanks for sharing your adventure
@@Hazmatt4700 I completely agree.
Thank you! I love to see the old pics and then video today.
❤️ me too. I feel it’s important to show what is or isn’t left. Especially before there is nothing left either physical or in working memory.
Good job bringing back the forgotten past.
Thank you
We need more videos like this. Thank you for making this 😊
I’m glad you like it. I will have the Sequel Verdi out next week
My daughter just graduated from Verdi Elementary. Graduation was held at the old school which is now a museum. Lots of great photos in there.
❤️
Props for the Buster Keaton clips! Very apropos.
😃 I’m a big Buster Keaton fan. Plus he filmed most of his water shots on the Truckee River. I like to keep it local.
Live in Verdi and knew very little of this. Thank You and God Bless you Harmony!
@@WilliamFiler I’m glad you liked it. Just doing my part to keep history alive ❤️

Thank you.
There is an interesting tin dump site in the area. Roughly 50 yards from CA/NV border, on the CA side. North side of Dog Valley rd.
There is a place called Acid Flat near there. It was where they would dump all of the chemicals from the paper and pulp mill company.
