- For now, kochi is easily accessible and has more business opportunities and ship services so its developed than Trivandrum. But once the vizhinjam seaport is completed and mother ships arrive here, business and trade will increase leading to growth of surrounding areas as well as more business investors in the city.certainly after 5 to 10 years it will be more developed than kochi. Vizhinjam, Poovar, Balaramapuram, Pallichal, Kovalam…. ie., the area just south of Thiruvananthapuram city. This area will become hub of economic growth and business.recent development and investment activities happening in Trivandrum become more discussion about its future. after coming of adani group and expectation about vizhinjam international seaport in upcoming future its predicted that Trivandrum will overtake kochi. better infrastructure, connectivity, educational facilities help Trivandrum to reach higher level.

ഞാനും കോട്ടയം ആണ്. മലബാർ ഉള്ളവർക്ക് കോഴിക്കോട് പോലെ നമുക്ക് എപ്പോഴും വലുത് കൊച്ചി ആണ്. Tvm ലരു കാലത്തും കൊച്ചിക്ക് 10 സ്റ്റെപ് താഴെ പോലും അടുത്ത് എത്തില്ല. കാരണം കൊച്ചിക്ക് പലവിധ വഴി വികസനം വരും. Rich സിറ്റി. അത്പോലെ അല്ല tvm.

Once Vizhijham port comes to operational, Trivandrum will be another level.Also once better connectivity to Kanyakumari through new NH 66, then will be another boost to tourist flow from Kanyakumari, since many travel through Tamil Nadu to reach Kanyakumari and so will reach Kovalam and Trivandrum.

After reading comments sections let me be clear about both the cities as I am a mallu based in Mumbai.
I lived in Mumbai, Delhi, Surat, Baroda and Bangalore and visited Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune many times . For the last 12 years I'm in Kerala and lived in Kochi for 2 years and then Trivandrum 7 years and again back to Kochi. Let me talk about my experiences in both the cities
Trivandrum - good roads, pollution free streets, world famous temple, beaches, good public transport (KSRTC) , greenery, Gothic style buildings, delicious food (economic), transportation, government medical facilities, reactive public, calm and peaceful life.
Kochi - Sky scrapers, pollution, narrow alleyways, indisciplined private bus operators, costly food, fashion, friendly public, lagoons, boating, non reactive people.
I prefer Trivandrum to Kochi for economic life and better living facilities.
Comparison to Kochi and Trivandrum with Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi are unnecessary as Kerala cities are only small towns for such cities with more than 1 crore population

Part 2 : വമ്പൻ വ്യവസായങ്ങൾ എന്നോക്കെ പറയുമ്പോൾ കൊച്ചിയിൽ ഉള്ളത് കൂടി ഓർക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ കപ്പൽ നിർമാണ കേന്ദ്രമായി മാറുകയാണ് കൊച്ചി എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞാലും എതിർക്കാൻ പറ്റില്ല. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പൊതുമേഖലാ റിഫൈനറിയും കൊച്ചിയിൽ. അവിടെ കഴിഞ്ഞ കുറച്ചു വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടായ നിക്ഷേപങ്ങൾ ഒന്ന് നോക്കിയാൽ തന്നെ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ഞെട്ടും. അതിനൊപ്പം വരുന്ന petrochemicals complex പദ്ധതിയുടെ സാധ്യതകളും അറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കണം. ഇങ്ങനെ എല്ലാ സെക്ടറും നോക്കിയാൽ മനസ്സിലാകും കൊച്ചി എവിടെ അണ് നില്കുന്നത് എന്നും, അവിടേക്ക് എത്താൻ എന്താണ് വേണ്ടത് എന്നും. ടൂറിസം, mice, real estate, startups, large scale industrial units എന്നിവയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ കൊച്ചിയുടെ അടുത്ത് പോലും കേരളത്തിലെ മറ്റൊരു സ്ഥലവും ഇല്ല എന്നതാണ് വാസ്തവം. അദാനി വന്നാൽ കൊച്ചി വിമാനത്താവളത്തിനേ ബാധിക്കും എന്നോക്കെ ചില വിവരമില്ലാത്തവർ പറഞ്ഞിട്ടും അതിൻ്റെ യാതൊരു ഇഫക്ടും കാണുന്നില്ല. സിയാൽ ഇപ്പോഴും പഴയ പോലെ തന്നെ വളർന്നു മുന്നേറുന്നു.
ഇനി ഭാവി പദ്ധതികൾ നോക്കിയാലും കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഒട്ടും വ്യത്യസ്തം അല്ല. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നാല് വരി orr വരുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ കൊച്ചിയിൽ വരുന്നത് 6 വരി പുതിയ ബൈപാസ് ആണ്. അത് കണക്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാൻ പോകുന്നത് എയർപോർട്ട്, ഗിഫ്റ്റ് സിറ്റി, റിഫൈനറി പോലുള്ള വമ്പൻ പോയിൻ്റുകൾ ആണ്. ഈ കാര്യം പറയുമ്പോൾ ഓർക്കേണ്ടത്, തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് ഭാവിയുടെ കാര്യം മാത്രം പറഞ്ഞു orr വരുത്തുമ്പോൾ, കൊച്ചിയിൽ നിലവിലെ ബൈപാസിനെ അതിൻ്റെ എംജി റോഡിനെ കാട്ടിലും urbanised ആക്കിയത് ആണ്. ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു urban expansion കേരളത്തിൽ മറ്റൊരു നഗരവും ഇതുവരെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല. കൂടാതെ, ഈ ബൈപാസ് ഉൾപ്പെട്ടു കൊണ്ട് കൊച്ചിക്ക് റിംഗ് റോഡ് ആവിഷ്കരിക്കാനും ജിസിഡിഎ നോക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. കേരളത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതൽ ദേശീയ പാത പദ്ധതികളും കൊച്ചിയിൽ ആണ്. നിലവിലെ NH 66 ആറ് വരി ആക്കുന്നത് മാത്രമല്ല, കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ അക്സസ്സ് controlled highway ആയ പുതിയ NH 544 ബൈപാസ്, കൊച്ചി തേനി NH 85 ഗ്രീൻഫീൽഡ് ദേശീയ പാത, കൊച്ചി (അങ്കമാലി) - തിരുവനന്തപുരം (നെടുമങ്ങാട്) പുതിയ ഗ്രീൻഫീൽഡ് ദേശീയ പാതയും (എംസി റോഡിന് സമാന്തരം) എല്ലാം വരുന്നുണ്ട്. കൂടാതെ, കൊച്ചി ഗിഫ്റ്റ് സിറ്റി എന്ന ബൃഹത് പദ്ധതിയുടെ സാധ്യതകളും അറിയുക. കേരളത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ പദ്ധതി എന്ന് തന്നെ വിശേിപ്പിക്കാവുന്ന പദ്ധതിയാണ് കൊച്ചി ഗിഫ്റ്റ് സിറ്റി. ഇതിന് പുറമെ petrochemicals park, shipyard third dry dock, International Ship Repair Facility, Bliss City എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള വമ്പൻ പദ്ധതികൾ നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ് കൊച്ചിയിൽ.
അപ്പൊൾ താരതമ്യം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ രണ്ട് വശങ്ങളിലും പൂർണമായി അറിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം ചെയ്യുക. അല്ലാതെ ഒരു നഗരത്തിൻ്റെ പരസ്യം മാത്രമാണ് വീഡിയോയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം എങ്കിൽ, അവിടെ വെറുതെ views കൂട്ടാൻ ഇങ്ങനെ ടൈറ്റിൽ ഇടുന്നത് അത്ര നല്ല കാര്യമായി തോന്നുന്നില്ല. അത് നിങ്ങളുടെ ചാനലിനെ ബാധിച്ചേക്കാം. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തിൻ്റെ കാര്യങ്ങൾ മാത്രമാണ് പറയാൻ ഉദ്ദേശം എങ്കിൽ ഇങ്ങനെ മറ്റു നഗരങ്ങളെ കാണിക്കുന്നത് മോശം തന്നെയാണ്. ഇനിയെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ ഇതൊക്കെ കുറച്ചുകൂടി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ച് ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Iam from Palakkad, but have to say , Kochi is the best city in Kerala in terms of developments. Kochi is close to Palakkad and has 6 line NH connecting Kochi, which is now a part of Kochi - Banglore Industrial corridor. You will witness rapid developments in coming years in this stretch. Iam sure that people in Palakkad and Thrissur will have an emotional connect with Kochi. But , happy to hear that more developments are coming in and around Trivandrum nowadays. Our capital city will grow very soon in to a big modern city. Can't compare this cities with cities like Mumbai , Banglore, Hyderabad, Chennai etc. Coz both cities are smaller than Pune, Jaipur even Vadodara. Both cities should develop to to that level. After all, as a malayali i want to see the whole kerala as a highly developed state.

Now i'am working in Mumbai and i can say with out any doubt that both cities have to develop a looot to compare with any other big cities in India. Sadly we don't have any such cities now. I agree that we have a lot of limitations in terms of geographical aspects . But yeah , why we can't think about a planned clean city. I will never say trivandrum is a low class city, Trivandrum is a classy city.. All cities has its own specialities and culture. Why we can't Stand together for development of our whole kerala state.

At present kochi, mumbai, Vishakapatnam are top in development and infrastructure. The thing common here is that this places have a sea port , but none of them have a international mother port, once the Vizhinjam port gets activated trivandrum will be more popular and will transform rapidly than the present mumbai. And don't worry bros kerala will change into a new level, as u can see the places where they have international mother ports like Dubai, Singapore are highly developed due to this kind of mother ports.

ഒരു മഴ പെയ്താൽ വെള്ളത്തിൽ ആവുന്ന കൊച്ചിയെ പറ്റി ഇങ്ങനെ.... പൊതുവെ ഇവറ്റകൾക്ക് ട്രിവാൻഡ്രം കൊല്ലം ജില്ലകളോട് എന്തോ ഒരു പുച്ഛം ആണ്...പക്ഷെ വെള്ളം കയറി മുങ്ങാൻ നിൽക്കുബോൾ തെക്കൻ ജില്ലകളുടെ ഹെല്പ് വേണം... പിന്നെ ഈ പറയുന്ന എന്ത് വികസനം ഉണ്ടായാലും ഒരു മഴ വന്നാൽ തീർന്നു.. മുല്ലപെരിയാർ പിന്നെ പറയേയും വേണ്ടാ....tvm ഒരു വികസനം നഗരം എന്ന് ഞാൻ വാദിക്കുന്നില്ല ബട്ട്. ഫ്ലഡ്ൽ നിന്നും ഏറ്റവും സുരഷിതമായ സ്ഥാലം ആണ് പിന്നെ കൊച്ചിയെ പോലെ കാണുന്ന എല്ലാം ചതുപ്പിലും ഫ്ലാറ്റ് ഉണ്ടാക്കി വികസിക്കേണ്ട ആവശ്യം ഇല്ല.. ഇവിടെ ഗ്രീൻനറി കൂടെ കണക്കിൽ എടുക്കുണ്ട്. പിന്നെ പൊല്യൂഷൻ വളരെ കുറവ്.... ഇതൊക്ക മതി ഞങ്ങൾ tvmkark...

We should try for metro instead of light metro. Even Bhopal and Indore cities of MP are getting Metros. We should fight for development of Nemam terminal which was dropped and simultaneously expand Kochveli with 10 PForms. Lastly we should go for one SEZ in TVM district which will boost manufacturing activi and lay the ground for industrialisation. Without above we cannot become no 1 leave alone beat Kocho.

I feel like the tide is shifting slowly and 2020s and 2030s will be decades in which trivandrum will witness more development. All in all.. Trivandrum is slightly overrated by our own people and massively underrated by the rest of kerala.

Trivandrum വരുമ്പോഴൊക്കെ തോന്നുന്നത്, ഒരുപാടു ഡെവലപ്പ്മെന്റ് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട് എങ്കിലും ഇനിയും നല്ലൊരു planned execution ആവശ്യമാണ്.. കൊച്ചിയിൽ പല ഭാഗങ്ങളും, നല്ല pathway, city beautification പ്രൊജക്റ്റ്‌ ഒക്കെ നടക്കുന്നു.. പല city area കളും പാടെ മാറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. Electric lines ഒക്കെ underground ആക്കിതുടങ്ങി.. ഇത് മറ്റു പല പദ്ധതികൾക്കും വേണ്ടിയാണ്... Eg: മെട്രോ കൊച്ചിയിൽ ഇൻഫ്രാസ്ട്രക്ച്റിൽ വളരെ വലിയ മാറ്റം കൊണ്ട് വന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.. പുതിയ റോഡും മറ്റും വന്നാൽ പോരാ ഉള്ളവ rennovate ചെയ്യണം. എത്രയും വേഗം മെട്രോ റെയിൽ, അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സമാനമായ ഒരു പദ്ധതി തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തു വരണം. അത് മൊത്തം ഇൻഫ്രാസ്ട്രക്ടുറിൽ തന്നെ വലിയ മാറ്റം കൊണ്ട് വരും 0:31

Impossible! Kochi is always above Trivandrum because the city is having multi level establishments like shipyard, naval command, major seaport and airport, metro route, having many entrepreneurs hub and many other identifications. Nevertheless, my desire is to fastest developments to Trivandrum because the capital city of the state.

The mentioned projects are backed by Kochin port and I hope you know what’s being built over here. Naval base itself will shift to Vizhinjam considering strategic importance
I am sorry but kochi will develop by itself to its potential but Trivandrum is now gearing up to be a world hub so I don’t see a scene for Kochi in future if compare to Trivandrum
