This is the first time that, as a Roman Catholic, I hear a non-Catholic pastor perfectly describe the Virgin Mary! Amazing.

I will say though we Episcopalian/Anglicans often are described as "fully Catholic, fully Reformed". We're not ROMAN Catholic, but we're pretty Catholic if that makes sense. Like our liturgy and yours are basically identical, we have apostolic succession via the Archbishop of Canterbury. We value reason as a gift of God so unlike Roman Catholicism that has a "the Church says X" style, we leave space for people to "work out their own salvation" but while providing them with the liturgy, Eucharist, sermons etc and encouraging them to engage the scriptures and God Himself to discover His Truth. So in the same pew you'll have Episcopalians who see the Eucharist the same way the RC Church do, ones who do believe in the real presence but aren't sure they can go as far as transubstantiation and ones who purely think it's symbolic and they all worship together. You'll have both pro choice and pro life. Those who pray the rosary (or Anglican prayer beads) and those who don't. Etc. We leave space for disagreement... Usually. Obviously we too are human. Lol. And I am in now way condemning you and my other Roman Catholic brothers and sisters. We fully recognise you as valid members of the small c catholic (ie universal) church. That's the thing I love most, as Anglicans we recognise the full Christianity of all Trinitarian Christians, we don't necessarily think we have the only or the objectively best style of church, we just recognise it's best for us.

Many Anglicans/Episcopalians (particularly Anglo-Catholics), some high-church Lutherans, and all Orthodox do, of course!

You might be surprised at just how catholic the Episcopal church can get sometimes.

Great job! I grew up RC and now am AC. I've never heard any RC or Orthodox clergy explain this as well as you did.
