for the village section with Kotaro’s scenario, if you kill at least 300 monsters, you’ll be rewarded with the “rusty sword.” If you give this sword to the sword smith, you’ll get the best sword in the game - “nihon.” Just fyi. Great review btw. I still replay this game once every couple of years.
Ronin Blade ( its the Pal Version Name) was 1 of my first Games together with Silent Bomber, Poy Poy 2, Mickeys Wild Adventure and Worms 1. I finished the game probably a dozen Times over my 24 Years of Gaming. Glad my mom always only checked the age rating and Ronin Blade was appearently for 6 year olds, no clue who rated this game that day in the USK Headquarters xD The Temple Scene with the dark Music and dead Bodys scarred me for Life. You can get new clothing if you help the Villager finding his glasses, the slippery slope can be avoided by sliding down backwards and just run upwards once you picked up the Statue piece. This Game is the reason why i bought all Onimusha Games, Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, Shinobido: Way of the Ninja, Genji, Way of the Samurai 1-4. Sry for this long a* comment, awesome review ! @@TheSelectGaming do you have CRT monitors if not, then you should play this with Video Games with CRT filters. Because, these Videos Games 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s were made it CRT monitors in minds.

This game is one of my favorites. And your cliff part is 10000 correct what you need to do is exactly what you are doing in the beginning than you run with like the analog instead of jump. It is tricky and the game doesn’t prepare you for this
Definitely 8bit and 16bit Konami was amazing but still think later Konami had a lot to offer even beyond big games like MGS. Contra was not great, though.

Konami was at their peak in the 8th and 16-bit era. A lot of their 32-bit offerings were simply forgettable. Contra legacy of war, pathetic.
