This program is awesome! We use GGD for our drums when we record, but our engineer uses superior! Also, it has Guitar Pro, so when I export midi from our tabs, I won't have to manually shift everything around before we record!
OMG!!! This is exactly what we need - THANK YOU SO MUCH! We couldn't let go of the EZDrummer track we made, and trying to map it out to Invasion did not sound right. But this basic tutorial is the answer!
@@mkaudiostuff Please help. When I put the conversion to my GGD it has the right drum pieces in place, but EVERY HIT IS FLAMMED NOW..... Why ? And what do I do :( PS - I'm trying to convert EZ drummer drums to GGD Modern and Massive in Reaper
Ever seen a grown man cry like a baby ..... my ex left me and took my laptop with her I had GGD invasion / Metal /one kit wonder / Slate and ez drummer 2 / ...having to re install all of those apps again was time consuming BUT trying to CONVERT midi drums tracks MANUALY to match existing songs made me want to find a lead pipe and cave her F*****g skull in ! When I watched this video I almost cried THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!
Would be neat if this could detect which pack I might have and normalizes them to one to be consistant. Otherwords, I am not sure which mapping I have for my current midi from years of random purchasing.
Great stuff. I have an old MIDI map from Toontrack Superior Drummer 2 and need to convert it to GGD One Kit Wonder - Fusion Kit. Do you have a preset for that by any chance? That would be GREAT! Thank you.
Hey! I think that the Toontrack mappings didn't really change that much or maybe not at all between SD2 and SD3. Just try the "Toontrack Superior Drummer 3" as your source preset and One Kit Wonder as Target. Let me know if it works
@@mkaudiostuff thanks, but this didn’t work for me as I used my own mappings in Superior Drummer 2.0. Thanks anyway! I have worked around it in the meantime. Cheers!

Hey there! No, never had this complaint. And chill dude, we will get this shit fixed without manually changing notes, that's what MidiRemap is for! Please just send me your file and also tell me which M&M Preset you choose @MidiRemap/have set in GGD settings. "Halpern" Mapping (default)? Cheers

export your midi file, convert, import. if you don't know how to export midi from reaper you need to find out, there are millions of answers all over the internet :-)
Would it be easier just to make a midi map for EZdrummer in something like GetGood drums OneKitWonder metal? Then it would be done and anytime you drag any Ezdrummer midi file into GGD OKW metal, it would work. No?
yeah that's what we all did back in the days, got tired of and started using MidiRemap :-) If u create your custom mapping inside GGD OKW Metal for example, your stuck with it. If u want to use GGD M&M or maybe Superior Drummer Iowa Kit later on or use the newest GGD library you just purchased: you start from the beginning. Also maybe at some point in your career you need to give your midi to other people, for example producers, bandmates (maybe the drummer). trust me: the "oldschool way" will make you cry :-) Cheers!
Hey dude! I just checked the MidiRemap server logs I guess your midi file is called "2.mid"? this file is creating a midi Seq Error. can you maybe send me the file via email? the address is on the website
hey rob! sorry to hear that! can you please help improve this: what exactly did not convert as expected? did you change the default preset inside ggd's settings? e.g. to "GM" or similar? maybe? love from germany

The fact that GGD doesn't have a superior map anymore is pretty slack ass.
