I did one like that, and what i did was use the push button start, works on Lincolns also, push the start button, vehicle turns on, it resets the alarm, and the unlock function is restored. The lady said 2 other companies showed up and couldnt get it unlocked.
Well this happened to me yesterday in the AZ desert miles from anywhere and dammit, I just didn’t have those handy tools in my pocket! However, your video did give me the inspiration that I could pry open the top of the door enough to reach in with a wire and hook the keys which I’d left on top of the dash :)
Man, that's an incredible story. Wow! I'm glad you didn't get frustrated and give up. I tell people all the time that I can't make how to unlock every vehicle without the proper tools. I do have a few on how to do it without the proper tools, but with the millions of videos out there, a person doesn't always find those. They may, like you find my video on how to on that specific vehicle, and in those videos, I'm using the proper tools. I love when guys like you, use what they learn from me, and improvise. That's awesome. I have a video on how to fish keys out but people aren't thinking of looking that title up.
My other idea was to smash the little front triangle window and reach in, but that would have cost me up to $200. I really do appreciate ppl like you who make these helpful how-to videos, bcs even if I don’t have the tools, maybe a mental block gets shifted and I see things differently.
You know these Toyota security systems, pulling the door handle overrides the "re-locking" instead of flipping the lock, pull the handle and the door is open immediately even if the alarm system re locks the door, it's already open..
Yes I do know that. I have videos on that, however that doesn't always work. Like this particular vehicle. I tried that first. Some you actually have to time exactly. Thanks for watching and commenting. Much appreciated.
