I've been growing cabbages in a 4x4 grow tent with a Spider Farmer light and vent fan to outdoors in our basement here in Michigan. Temps are about 62-75 and no bolting, no insect pressure! Plus I can grow all year around. It might be a little overkill for someone just starting out, but I got started with my maritomatoes which I no longer grow so it's all in place from those days. WINK! If anyone wants more details just ask.

Interesting! I have not ventured into growing indoors yet.

@@JerrasGarden My setup was not cheap, but it gets results without a lot of attention. Less stress means less bolting for things like Cilantro and Bok Choy. So exciting to see heads forming on my cabbages with no holes in any of the leaves!

I love growing Napa cabbage, but the worms love to eat them even more 😅 thanks for the video, very informative.

Try mixing some epsom salt with water and feed your plants every two weeks or so will reduce aphids by 95% at least.

Any advice on getting them to close?

Not sure what you mean by "getting them to close".

Hi. This is my first time growing Napa cabbage. After harvesting, do I cut off the outer leaves and eat only the tightly compacted middle piece that formed and grew up or are all the leaves edible? I admit my outer leaves are not looking good. Some pests got to them.

All the leaves are edible but yea, if they are heavily munched on by insects I take them off and do not eat.

I'm not going to waste my time. I can buy all the cabbage that I want. I only watched because The Auntie is so hot!
