Thank you for this video. How often do you add blood meal to your soil?

I add it into planting holes when I transplant greens/lettuces or scratch it into the soil surface before I direct sow seed. While a plant is growing in ground I usually switch to a liquid or granular fertilizer.

Depends on your garden zone. Areas with mild winters, where it does not snow or the ground does not freeze can direct sow lettuce from October thru March.

Hi, sorry I am just seeing this question. Its way too hot to start leafy greens like lettuce. Try the more tropical types of greens. You can start seeds for lettuce 4-6 weeks before the month when your average maximum temperature finally drops below 80F. You can find your monthly averages on this website: www.plantmaps.com.
