Due to the massive amount of feedback that my last Twenty One Pilots reaction video got, I am back with ANOTHER reaction, this time to an album that almost everyone in my comments told me to react to! Twenty One Pilots - Vessel!

Guns For Hands was about/to their fans. Tyler wrote this song after hearing so many of their fans stories on how the band's music helped them through suicidal moments in their lives.

Their top priority is playing live shows. So, I believe certain songs, The Run and Go in particular, is much more enjoyable in its live performance than it is in the studio.

I can second this x100000. Im not even their biggest fan and I definitely wasn't when I went to see them live but h o l y fuck their live shows are just next level. I still fucking hated Car Radio live though lol
I am sock Trees truly is on a whole other level when they perform it at their concerts. Hearing it last after going though all the different emotions that the prior songs bring on...it gives you the most surreal feeling. I wanted to cry when it was over, but I also simply felt content.

With your Blurry Face review, I actually saw alot of your points and it actually made me see flaws in the songs that I hadn't considered before, but since you were roasting it so brutally, it came off to me at some points just like shitting on things just for the sake of shitting on them, but seeing you go through vessel and show that it isn't actually the case, while still giving good criticisms about it, really pulled me back in. I totally agree that Vessel is far superior to Blurryface, I do personally enjoy Blurryface just sonically, but I agree it comes off as really cringe in terms of lyrics, whereas Vessel has a much better all-round quality to it.
I didn't subscribe after the Blurryface video, but I did now, fantastic video. I even like the blurryface one better now that I know you weren't just being antagonistic for the sake of it. My bad for misjudging you, keep up the good work! Would love to see you react to some of their other things. I would be interested to see what you think of some of the covers they have done and the track they did for the terrible Suicide Squad movie.

A lot of their interviews I’ve seen Tyler just kind of wrecks because he’s always nervous, and it’s really obvious in his voice. The interviews are still watchable but it kinda turns me off.

Car Radio is pobably the most straight-to-the-point song lyrically. Somebody had actually stolen his car radio, which made him sit in a silent car, with no distractions.

You probably won't like self titled but the lyrics are filled with a lot of emotion. The lyrics are really deep. It's the best album of theirs in my opinion. 'Regional at best' and Tylers solo ep 'no phun intended' have cool lyrics too (especially tb saga) but maybe not as good music. Also please listen to coconut shark in the water. Just everything by them and I'll be happy. But most importantly SELF TITLED!!!!!

One, I really liked this video. I love how you weren't afraid to point out the flaws and than still understand the message and the good points of the song. I've watched too many album reviews to count and half of them never really went into the song, just stuck to the sonic level, which I can understand, but I respect how you went deeper into it than just half-assing it. Anyways, 2, could you do Bastille? I love them, and I THINK you might too. Idk. Bastille isn't the biggest band but I love their sound and them as a whole so, idk, thought you would like to react to them?

Okay you are kinda funny. I’m not gonna lie. I love twenty one pilots but you give good constructive criticism.
I guess why this album is darker it's because he was in a very bad place at the time that he wrote those lyrics. But in blurryface he already had a wife, best friend but didn't want to abandon the dark theme, so the album came off kinda forced and not pure sadness like with this one.
and now with Trench, he's giving the vibe of hope during dark times, which fits perfectly.

Screen, when there’s 12,000 people in the stadium with you singing together “WE’RE BROKEN PEOPLE” is chilling and hit me so hard as someone who struggles with depression. It was amazing. And trees is by far my favorite song by them live. It’s like a celebration of being alive and it’s what they usually end their concerts with.
I like that you're not a massive fan so you're giving an honest, unbiased reaction. You're not just loving it because it's TØP. Great video really well put together. Subbed 😊

You’re an absolute legend. Instant fan of you bud. I’m a die hard twenty one pilots fan since 2014 and I listen to everything from $uicideboy$ to Simon and Garfunkel. Your opinions of this album and Blurryface are spot on for somebody who really understands music. I hate the part of the “clique” that became fans through Blurryface because they’re the cringy “emo“ folk and the prepubescents who don’t even understand what he’s portraying through the lyrics and even throughout the beat in every song. Can’t lie I haven’t touched Blurryface in over a year yet I still listen to vessel because it isn’t that over the top, look at me I’m depressed and everyone needs to know kind of sound. You’re an absolute clown and the editing in these reviews are hilarious yet very informative and you actually made a 33 minute video worth watching to the last second. Thanks dawg

Most Songs you liked have a Original Version on the RAB Album btw, would be nice to hear your opinion of it. Also Guns for Hans reminds me more of Killers song tbh, Tyler is a huge fan of them.When you do the Self Titled, you also get the Muse Vibe it was also recorded with the old band members.

i’ll agree that the other three albums are better than blurryface and blurryface was kind of a disappointment compared to the others but i still enjoyed the album, i think people only give it a bad rep cuz it’s overplayed (which is fair but that doesn’t take away the fact that it’s still a good album, u may have just gotten sick of hearing it 24/7)

Im really glad you enjoyed Vessel more than Blurryface. I found them during Vessel and absolutely loved it and was underwhelmed with Blurryface. And you are totally right with the fan base, all of these 14 year old girls who found them during Blurryface has made the entire fan base pretty toxic and super cringy. And I don't think Tyler and Josh expected that at all, since they really did not get huge until about 6-8 months after the album dropped. Overall I really appreciate your reactions because you actually know what your talking about when it comes to production and what not.
The fact that you liked Vessel is good for me. Blurryface was based off of a character that Tyler (the singer) made, so the album sounded different then what Self-title, Regional At Best, and Vessel was. The new album should be different then Blurryface, just looking at it. Also, you got a new subscriber, cause..

i am losing my MIND this shit is hilarious and i agree with a lot of your opinions. with the blurryface reaction video though, it really made me start wondering about if their next album will be even worse because i really agreed with the whole "im not on the radio but i want to be even though im pretending im not" yknow? and in my opinion that album certainly was not their best work and im sure a lot of fans can agree but yeah i hope they do better in the future. Man I have some mad respect for your quick way of analyzing the music+lyrics so well. I've been loving this album for over seven years and u managed to show me some new details of the album.
Just like the last TOP based video, I loved it. I'm really glad you decided to give Vessel a try and i hope you really enjoyed it! Like you said in the video, most of the fanbase came after the BF era and push that to the day they'll die probably. I also really appreciate that you give credit where credit is due. "The albums great! But these two songs are a little rough" or statements like that are hard to find in reaction videos since most reactors are trying to please the given audience. You're genuine and i dig it, if you want check out their self titled. Its pretty dark, if not darker than Vessel but in a more poetic sense as opposed to blurryface. Really enjoyed it dude, you got yourself a new subscriber. (Also im glad im not the only one who likes to pick out what effects artists' used on their instruments/vocals, if you ever wanna nerd out tg let me know)

I'm a twenty pilots fan and not gonna lie, after watching this video and listening to your thoughts, I too believe blurryface just wasn't that good an album. I only really like around half the songs and always found myself going back to vessel and their self titled. The lyrics alone on those two are much better than blurryface the music is the icing on the cake. Nonetheless great review. Looking forward to your future videos.

This might seem weird cause I just came from the blurryface video but I really enjoyed that review. Josh has anxiety so isn’t really good at good at speaking. He actually got an emotional support dog for it. I think blurryface is the least favorite of most people is because it is overly produced. Everyone deserves to be criticized and I loved this review. I’m glad you liked this album better. Edit- I totally agree with the more subtle darkness and I can’t believe how much I agree with someone who doesn’t like them. Edit- someone actually stole his car radio in College. He listened to the radio to distract from his thoughts. Once the radio was gone he had to deal with them. I definitely get why the song isn’t for everyone but a lot of people like it because they connect with it because they have “depression”. Using music to get through things is what a lot of people do.

If you do react to the neighbourhood I'd recommend either their first album "I Love You" or their 2 newest back to back EPs (idk if you do EPs but together it's like 10 sings) Hard & To Imagine which are drastically different from their other stuff but still my favorite

Their best project is I love you, I think that was their most cohesive and well written album. I personally think it went downhill from there.
Myriam Michael Ik their writing and especially in general musical style changed. I personally enjoy it all but I understand how the change might not be everyone's favorite.
I think you just like the happier sounding songs and you don't mind the sad piano parts. I understand, That's what I thought at first as well. But now I see Tyler's purpose through sad parts, to let us know that we don't have to forget the sad things.. we just leave them behind and pretend like everything is fine. I know I sound really cringey and you're not gonna agree but hey, We're one big family and we shouldn't hate on eachother.
