On one of my local lakes, very large stripe bass start showing up mid afternoons around the ramps to eat the weakened “released” club tournament bass. Some anglers leave their boats in the lake and fish for the stripers with big swimbaits or top water baits. Some anglers think the striped bass can hear the outboard motors racing to the ramp for weigh in.
Best ramps are those no longer in service. I've got several lakes around me with abandoned ramps. In the spring I catch huge spawning crappie underneath boat docks.
Thanks Randy great info for how to fish boat launches
This was a good one, very cool. As a bank angler I'm always running into boat ramps and launches that can be fished. Sweet vid!!
Same here bud I'm also a bank angler and run into the launches
The launch ramps are where all the club and pot tournaments release their bass after weigh in.
How long does it take for fish to return and settle in after a boat is launched?

I know sharks and barracuda learn to hang around boats to grab fish
