I used it for 45 years with great success I had many 50 fish days I often just pinch a split shot weight to the center hook also switched to heavier hooks great video Randy
There’s many many Rapala techniques and secrets. One of the most important factors is figuring out how to get long long long cast out of it which is the key to 10 bass, or two bass. It will fly like a dart, or it will fly like a pork chop, depending on cast technique.
That was my father’s lure. In a big fish tournament, he caught the tourney winning bass on one at Hubbard Creek Lake in the mid-70’s. You hit a 10 with these tips. Thanks for the videos. Tight lines and Godspeed
I worked with Jimmy Crisp's son Darren. He gave me one of his Dad's big rapalas. He told me to fish it but I couldn't bring myself to take the chance of losing it.
Do they even sell these anymore? I’ve looked but I can’t find them. I had one and if I remember correctly it weighed like 7/8 oz. I had one in rainbow trout and got a few decent bass to crush it before losing it
I’ve done great by ripping the smaller size ( specifically the largest size that comes with only two hooks). Read about this technique in a fishing book put out by NAFC.

Vampire is a killer color in the 18
How about banks lake washington yo?
Why not just use a husky jerk?
The lip always breaks off
No link to this bait at TW. Your description brings up nothing. No size 18 that I can find. Frustrating to learn about a lure that is not available.
I used to fish this until one day I switched to a watermelon seed wiggle wart and I kick my partner's ass many many times.
Only the 18cm size ?
The 11, 13, 15 ??
Suspending Husky jerk don’t fit the same job ?
Thanks !!
