Y’all bothe talking bout y’all’s moms, grandmas, aunts and sister and wives 😂😂😂
Great put tax dollars into a sports teams instead of uplifting local neighborhoods
These renderings are just a mock up just to show the vision nothing final...
The spurs can’t even fill the frost bank center for most games, why do they need a new arena for?
smaller capacity, higher seat tickets for a more premium experience and better views. they can also add in cheaper standing room areas and people will just buy expensive booze.
let the team pay for everything. the city will be fine without this
NEWS: Gaetz?!
lol why not just build a whole new city
Call it Delta City, and put it where Old Detroit once stood.
No, no, the frost bank center is the worst nba arena. There's so much seating lost with that horrible interior layout.
their current arena is only 22 years old
These owners are pushing for arenas and stadiums way too early. I get that it’s better to hop to it on a plan but I feel like sometimes it’s okay to renovate first for a while before going all in on a new home place for a sports team.
@@lakerskid2013 Frost Bank Center just had a major reno like 6 years ago.
Ain’t nobody tryna go to the Eastside anymore for the games. Southtown is not too far from the new arena and plenty of bar and restaurants in that area. It just makes sense
It needs to be built on the northwest side plenty of land and its already San Antonio’s sports and entertainment district you have popstroke, top golf two golf courses and two out door malls and Six flags and the spurs just built the Rock training and medical center plenty of parking and hotels and resorts everything is walkable distances. What about MLB stadium if we were to get a sports team it’s most likely baseball then a NFL team in the near future. Downtown needs to focus more on Arts and music and the housing around the area are struggling, expand the Riverwalk make more parks and recreation around the area make downtown beautiful not make a small section of it a cluster fu#% of a headache
Does Texas really need another NFL team?
Well Cali and NY have 3 so it’s not unprecedented!
@@Aggie4life77 California used to have four NFL teams not too long ago... South Central Texas has grown so much recently the "combined" metro populations of Greater Austin and Greater San Antonio has surpassed SIX million, approaching the Greater metros of DFW and Houston...
@@ronclark9724Texas Triangle and San Antonio Austin area is too big to not invest in the future here in San Antonio. UT Austin would never allow an NFL team in Austin
You're not asking the right questions. The right question is does the NFL need another team in Texas? Given population trends, I'd say yes.
@@ronclark9724 San Antonio residents always trying to figure out some way to make themselves feel like they are as big as Dallas.
Good they can pay for themselves
San Antonio does not have enought big businesses to maintain a NFL team...Plus the area around there...LOW INCOME, CRIME, GANG Habitat...Denver Heights and Lavaca specifically...
I've never had a problem hanging out on Houston Street or anywhere after a Spurs game. Cops are everywhere. And the gangs aren't hanging out on the downtown side of 37, that's where the tourists are.
Stop complaining we need this arena and setup. It will be a springboard for future businesses. Trump will help get these bad migrants out.
You sound scared like you never lived in the Eastside. Stay home or go to Church if you’re scared fam! My grandma goes to the games untouched. It’s all about respect and not looking down on others. Gangs are everywhere and so are Scardy cats 😂
@@CowboyKilla210 well said. 99% of the time, if you mind your business no one will fuck with you.
Most of the violence is gang on gang or people that know each other.
Don't need an NFL team we have an XFL team
I’d rather have NFL team in San Antonio
@CowboyKilla210 true but who knows how far the UFL(formerly XFL, just found that out) will go. Maybe one day it can be a serious competitor to the NFL.
lol your crazy
Stream tonight? lots going on rn.
Waste of $ 😮
how about they move to austin? SA ain’t it.
Send the Spurs to Seattle. Third of an arena empty now.
How about you go to Seattle. Spurs are locked in San Antonio forever
Yawn! Another monument to nothing. SA resident for 44 years. This city never learns.
Stop whining it's happening!
Bad team, bad market….no thanks
- Bad take
Won't happen. SA is too poor. It will be voted down. Look at the airport, it's an embarrassment for the population that lives here. SA will forever be that small town with a bunch of poor, below average wage people.
Stop whining it's happening!
Probably the yappiest yap I’ve ever read
And thinking like that is the reason nothing gets done in SA it can happy the city needs to step up and make moves ...
4 BILLION? It's basically an empty building. You could build multiple Tesla factories for that price and actually produce something.
Calm down it's gonna be spread out to the hotel and alamodome. If this thing gets done right. The businesses will come and sponsor some of this too. I hope it all goes thru!
Expect who is gonna buy Teslas? It’s not a popular brand anywhere except California
