Last month 6th I have visited Ahobilam. And that was an amazing experience especially the ugra sthambam (the pillar which lord Narasimha Appeared). 5 years before i have seen a video about Ahobilam temple & it was one of my biggest desire to visit ahobilam temple at last i got the courage to visit ahobilam one of my friend had visited ahobilam 2 times he give me all the details about ahobilam temple how to go & where to stay & then i decide to go to ahobilam there was only narasimha swamy with me no one else. First i go to Bangalore from there to ahobilam. And my biggest wish is to go to the top of ugra sthambam but am not that much courageous coz climbing ugra sthambam is not a easy task. i dont know where to begin. I Don't take any guides also. After check-in my room at lower ahobilam I was totally confused where to start. any way I go to Sri prahlada varada Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple lower ahobilam. I heard that the idol of narasimha Swamy in this temple was installed by lord Tirupati Venkateswara & i should say this deity is so powerful after praying this prahlada varada narasimha swamy I have seen a small group consist of 4 members (they were Andhra people's we communicate in English) then I asked how they are going they told me they have car u can come with us after joining with them I go to upper ahobilam by car & they were friendly & very good peoples on the way we see a aged woman walking through the road they pick her to upper ahobilam. After reaching upper ahobilam I seen a small pond with waterfalls after washing legs we entered into upper ahobilam & I don't know what to say I was in a very happy stage when I see the idol of Ahobila Narasimha Swamy(this is the main narasimha & this is the family deity of Lord Tirupati Venkateswara. During the exile period lod rama with his brother lakshmana visited this temple. Lord rama composed a stuti about ahobila narasimha that is called that is nrusimha panchamritha stotram).After that we 5 peoples walked to jwala narasimha Swamy. On the way we visit Kroda narasimha swamy temple (here the lord is in a mixed form 3rd avatar varaha & 4th avathar narasimha in a single shrine. Head is like a wild boar body is like human & a lion tail) after we start to walk to jwala Narasimha Swamy the way is full of huge rocks & trees but there are many bhaktas going infront of us Atlast we reached near to bhavanashini waterfalls (akasha ganga this Is near to jwala narasimha & there is belief that if u bath in this water your ancestors will be happy) after bathing bhavanashini we reached jwala narasimha(the fierce form of Lord Narasimha with 8 hands it is believed that hiranyakashipu was killed by narasimha from here) there is a small pond "Raktha kundam" (after killing hiranyakashipu narasimha swamy washed his hand here) then I go to ugra sthamba pathway at that time a man came near to us & told climbing ugrasthamba & reaching the top of ugrasthambam is very special & your desire will come true. At the beginning of our walking my friends told me that they will only come to ahobila narasimha temple & they will return they come to me to jwala narasimha temple. then they join to climb with me to ugra sthambam. ugra sthamba is a steep climb at almost 80 degrees it is more than 3000 feat above from sea level there were no safety measures in the ugra sthamba we climb the sthamba by holding rocks,odd tree trunks & ropes atlast I reached there by the grace of narasimha swamy & that was an unprecedented experience. After that we go back to down when we reach almost varaha narasimha swamy temple my 4 friends told me they are going to nandyal temple & they left me there. I truly believe that these 4 guys was sent by narasimha swamy itself to help me in climbing ugra sthambam. Thank you ahobileshwara for your extreme love & grace.then i go to malola narasimha swamy temple (here lakshmi devi is sitting in the thighs of narasimha swamy & this narasimha swamy is very happy. This narasimha swamy is worshipped by ahobilam jeeyars {they are controlling this temple} malola narasimha swamy uthsava vigraha is taken by ahobilam jeeyars at their pilgrim time. After that I go to prahlada badi (this is the school of bhaktha prahlada there is a small cave we can see there a yoga narasimha idol) after covering there I go to lower ahobilam on the path way I visit Kaaranja Narasimha (here lord is sitting under Kaaranja tree {ungu tree it is also called as pongamai tree} this narasimha appeared to lord Hanuman. This Narasimha has three eyes & this narasimha carries a bow like Lord Ram & there is a big hanuman idol near to this Narasimha. From there I reached lower ahobilam & took a Uber & go to Yogananda Narasimha Swamy Temple (Here narasimha sitting in a yogic pose with a yoga patta around his legs {this idol is similar to sabarimala ayyappas idol} Narasimha taught prahlada yoga practices here.Then i go to Chathravada narasimha temple (Here the lord is in a happy mood with a wide smile & idol is so beautiful & the left hand of Lord is in tala mudra This lord is sitting under a peepal tree {peepal tree is called Vada vruksha in Sanskrit & it is covering narasimha like a umbrella {umbrella in Sanskrit is known as Chatra} thats why this narasimha called Chatra Vada narasimha he is enjoying the music gandharvas he is in a pleasant form) the second day I go to pavana narasimha temple (here lord Narasimha is sitting with chenchu Lakshmi {an incarnation of goddess Lakshmi which is born in chenchu tribe after killing hiranyakashipu narasimha roamed in the forest of ahobilam then he sees chenchu Lakshmi & married her by visiting this narasimha temple all our sins will be removed & we will become righteousness here the chenchu tribe see narasimha as their son in law so they call him obalesudu. Every Saturday nights there will be animal sacrifices(meats of chicken & goat) to pavana narasimha. The panakam I got from pavana narasimha temple was so tasty after that I go to bhargava Narasimha Swamy Temple (this narasimha appeared to parasurama after his deep penance {parashurama born in sage brigus clan so he is called bhargava narasimha & this narasimha is like killing hiranyakashipu) there is a small pond near to this temple it is called akshaya theertha there is 132 steps to reach bhargava narasimha} most of the temples you can see monkeys. The picturesque of this place is very amazing. If you got a chance to visit ahobilam temple you should visit & experience that devine atmosphere. Thanks to lord guruvayurappa (lord krishna in guruvayur) Lord thali mahadeva (lord Shiva with wife parvathi this temple in Calicut) lord ahobileshwara,lord ganesha & my kuladevatha bappayil bhagavathi ❤️
