    If there's one thing I've learned from watching Barry's videos, it's to figure out the reason why you should fear a particular quarterback when they get on the field.
    When it comes to current QBs, Rodgers, Mahomes, Wilson, and Allen all have sort of different balances of the same gifts: quick on their feet, able to throw the deep ball nicely. Mahomes and Rodgers also throw a lot of difficult, highlight reel worthy passes. Mahomes kinda relies too much on his raw talent and it kinda makes him make mistakes that Rodgers doesn't really commit. Jackson is a run first guy that can sometimes produce a good passing day. Murray is basically Jackson but he can throw deep if he wants. I'm definitely missing some guys cuz I have a small brain and critically thinking about NFL offenses isn't my strongsuit, but that's what I've come to find.

    Brees wasn’t really a dink and dunk passer until around 2018, which is when his WR options started tanking due to dipshit team managers trading off his best WRs as soon as they got them. He basically only had one consistent receiver at that point, which was Alvin Kamara, an RB. The Saints incompetent management forced him to become a dink and dunk passer.

    I feel Drew Brees has gotten an unfair reputation bc the Saints offense dinked and dunked from 2017-2020. Drew Brees was a bomb thrower for his entire career until then, and the most accurate bomb thrower at that. for 16 years he would throw multiple deep td's a game... Iknow at the end of his career he was more careful and hit short precise tight window targets, but there was a reason he AVERAGED 5000 YARDS A SEASON for 9 years from 2008-2016

      Just comes down to how weigh things. Is Brady the most successful? Yes, but every year that he won a Super Bowl, he had a top ten scoring defense, and 2-3 times the defense was better than the offense. That is a luxury some QBs on this list did not have especially Dan Marino and Drew Brees. His ANY/A goes down in the playoffs and some other QBs on this list have better per game playoff stats. His longevity is quite spectacular, but there are many, many more talented QBs that exist and longevity may weigh less than talent for some people.

After that, they would end that season by losing in the play-offs, 31-14 at HOME to division rival New England. The Bears would later go on to completely embarrass that New England team.

      Meanwhile Brady might just win MVP at age 44. You can hate a player while still acknowledge their all-time greatness. It's like saying that Lebron was lucky to get to ten finals and win four rings. At some point, you just have to concede that the player is the main reason for the team's success when it keeps happening.

    Wow. Pretty good list! You had some great arguments behind your rankings. Now I'm not a big fan of Tom Brady but, I think you could easily argue him into even your top 10. Most yards passing of all time, crazy clutch 4th quarter player, 596 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 14 Pro Bowls. He won Comeback Player of the Year award, 2 Offensive Player of the Year awards, 3 MVP awards, 5 Super Bowl MVP awards and 7 championships.
    Then, went to Tampa and just ran the table with a team that had what we all thought was zero chance of going to the SB. I get it! It's YOUR list. But with all due respect, Brady didn't accomplish all of that above because he's lucky. Great video tho. Loved it.

Then I realized he loved making amazing plays. but they were all risky. he wanted to win but was willing to take the risk for the excitement. I could get behind that. But then he went to the Vikings.... Far as Joe Montana goes, Don Majkowski had better stats in 1989. The 49ers were just a great team. It wasnt just Joe Montana.

    I'm taking Marino all day at #1. Young Marino before the knee injuries actually could run He wasn't a statue He ran a 4.8. He made the tighest throws, super strong arm and a laser release. Today's era is way too easy to pass in with the rules even a bum like Jameis Winston threw for 5,000 yards. Marino also never had 1 offensive hall of fame skill position player in his entire career. My 5 QB's would be Marino, Elway, Rodgers, Manning, S.Young.

    I love your videos so much! Seriously, it pains me to do make this comment but someone has to play Devil’s advocate. HOWEVER, you can’t discredit a person and/or team for winning when they’re favored to win in a situation. For example, you made points about how Brady won because his defenses, special teams, favorable field positions, etc helped him and his teams win. His teams won like they were supposed to according to all of these factors. Also, you said that dinking and dunking is “incredibly boring and unimpressive regardless of how effective it might be.” You can’t make a point, jokingly or not, about how it is boring subjectively if it helps quarterbacks win games in the most effective way possible. Winning games is the most important stat at the end of the day.

    • @gbrow1604
      @gbrow1604 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The main point is that it's far from only the QB who is responsible for wins. So many things that are out of the QBs control can factor into winning games. So while you can say "winning games is what's important", that doesn't mean a QB who's on the winning team is the reason their team won.
