Really great advice man. I dream of having a car like this one day. Its all about decisions. Make the ones that will get you closer to that dream. I have bad spending habits but I really do want to change because I notice it gets me no where close to where I want to be. Making some sacrifices will pay off in the long run when you’re where you want to be. I appreciate this video so much cause seeing someone in my age range accomplish things like this just by making smart decisions makes me feel like I can too. Congrats on paying off the GTR as well. Drive safe and continue enjoying that thing 🙏
Just bought a 15 GT-R coming from a mustang Gt . What a blast the car has been so far ! Totally mind blowing ! Live your videos and congratulations on officially owning it ! Much love and God bless 🙏 And whoever is looking into getting a GT-R down the road, keep your faith ! Don’t ever say you can’t own one of these.
That's awesome to hear! GTR has been the best car ever and I'm sure you're going to love every second of it! Hard work definitely pays off and anyone can make it happen for sure!
One of the best things in life is being happy and satisfied with what you have. A GTR is a very good car to have and the price isn't too bad considering most 2014 models I seen cost closer to 100K (current price range in FL). I am always happy to see others succeed in life, it gives me motivation to do the same. Thanks for the upload and sharing cool info!
Congrats! On the payoff. I do a lot of the things you mentioned to save or not care about much to get what I really want. Got 2.99% at my local credit union for mine.
It's amazing how much eating out, coffee, and energy drinks just nickel and dime your money so you don't have any money! $5 here, $15 there, etc. Adds up really quick on a daily basis!
Yup! Starbucks every day literally amounts to a couple grand a year. Then when you add breakfasts and lunches and dinners. People are spending like $10k a year. That money is plenty to fun a nice car and have money in the bank
Congrats on paying off the R35! I agree with you that the GTR is at the top of the list when it comes to cars I have owned. The only one I can think of that tops it when it comes to driving experience is my Evo 9. It is really raw when compared to the GTR and has just as much character.
Congrats paying off finance. I also have finance you are right don’t over stretch yourself. Put in as bigger deposit as you can afford then that gets monthly payment down. After you get the first car on finance you can use as deposit for future ones too.
Thank you for this video, I love seeing this car on the channel. Hopefully we can get a video weekly on your channel with this beast. GT-R army stand up💪🏽💯🔥🔥🔥
Congrats! I'm really happy for you! I financed 25,900 after trading in my Trans Am plus 5 grand down on my Camaro for 60 months but paid it off in 3 months. By doing that I saved money on the interest which was approximately 2,500 to get new wheels that I wanted plus ground effects.
I've heard some of the same comments, "shouldn't spend your money on this on that" yada yada yada. But the bottom line is that everybody has different tastes and opinions and each person alive will spend their money on whatever they like. So you worked. hard to accomplish what you wanted, not anybody else. Like the saying goes haters make you greater. So mad props and congrats on paying off the GTR and if anybody deserves it it's you!
Exactly! The money saved on making all my own foods and rarely wasting out. Saved me more then enough to buy this car. Choose what you want to buy and don’t complain about what you don’t have. That’s how I see it 😎
It's all about getting the lowest interest possible. This will apply to everything you purchase in life. Making sure that you do not over do it with things you cannot afford.
Also after watching the full video. Good for you man. Interesting perspective to look at people who spend $7 on coffee every day or something. In 5 years $7 every day is $12,260 and thats way more interest that I payed on my car so lol. It’s so true, but what makes you feel happy, people will judge either way.
Exactly! Everyone ends up wasting money on something. And for me, interest on a loan is the only money I waste. And I wouldn't even blink an eye at taking out a loan to have one of my dream cars. Of course as long as interest rate is reasonably. Cars like this are too fun lol
Used to have a 370z Nismo as well. Unfortunately I crashed it. 😕 Afterwards, I was debating between an M4 and the GTR. I decided to go with the M4 because you can get the manual transmission. GTR is an awesome car, but that lack or manual is unfortunate.
Thank you Brian 🙂, this is truly positive inspiration, I enjoyed listening to what you shared and congrats on paying off your GT-R. I'm sure it's a wonderful feeling to have the title in your hands. I'm looking at, and I'm very interested in a certified pre-owned 2018 VW Tiguan SEL Premium R-Line with an exterior color I really like, and it's a rare color for a Tiguan. The vehicle is at a VW dealership in a nearby state from where I live in South Dakota. Also, it's a one owner with low miles, 15,756. The asking price of $33,513 seems high for a 2018 model year vehicle, my thought was the price would be much less on a 2018 Tiguan since the restyled 2022 Tiguan is arriving between the end of this month and early October. My current daily driver is a 2014 Jetta with a little over 100,000 miles, I love Volkswagens and want to stay with the brand. I do not want to miss a chance to possibly pursue that Tiguan. Any thoughts on this?
Glad you liked the vid! Used market is pretty hot. Is the one you're looking at going for a similar price to other used ones with the mileage and year? If so, it's valued right. ;)
Ppl don’t realize trying to keep up with the rest of the world with things like phones and ridiculous priced clothing that stuff adds up! When I had my cts v (V2) working at a warehouse everyone thought I sold drugs 😂. If you cut back on your spending habits and shop smart that savings account and bank account will look amazing! I literally just got rid of my iPhone 7plus about a month ago because the screen and it stopped charging. If it wasn’t for that I’d still have it. But for the young men and women who see this, if you have a decent job and good money management with a brain to match you can get whatever you want. Currently shopping for a 2016-2017 cts v/hellcat or gen5 (2015) gen6 (2016) zl1 🙏🏽
You are so right! Bought this car making less then $40k. And added the Supra long side barely making more then that. Not eating out much alone makes up for the car payments. It’s crazy how much money people waste trying to be cool. When they could just save all that money and have money in the bank and a sweet car. Priorities
@@BrosFOURRSpeed exactly bro well said! I’m in the Charlotte area but I make a few trips out towards your way pretty often. Hope to see you and one of the cars cruising on the Hwy one day!
Congrats! - Carvana offered me 56k for my 09! not bad with 71k miles on it. Only car I would go with is another GT-R which is 17+ :-) or Audi rs6 avant! but that's out of my price range. I also own SQ-5 black on black opt. (wifey's car) Love it! We have Dogs and it makes everything perfect! + kid. :)
The thing that always bothers me is people talk about cars like you can never finance or buy them new. Cars are a depreciating value most of the time. People need to stop acting like cars are houses. Some times I just want a car that will get me to A dark B safely and not worry about shit breaking down or a car I want to enjoy and not have to put money and time into it.
Nothing wrong with that. Moral of the story is, people need to buy the cars they want. If you want an expensive sportscar and financing is the way to get it. Go for it! If you want to pay cash for a Honda Civic and drive it to 300k, go for it! Enjoy life ;)
Most of the kids watching the channel can't afford a Camaro. I wouldn't think about them anymore- Congratulations Brian!!!! Great job!! ( Although getting pizza every now and then won't hurt lol)
Oh I still splurge on some goodies lol. Can’t say no to Pizza or wings 😉. Anything is fine in moderation. It’s the people who do every meal. That’s how you go broke
@@oreally8605 Thats a great skill to have! Once you know how to cook. It's hard to justify spending $30 on a meal at a restaurant that's going to take 45 minutes for it to even make it to your table. When I can make it in 20 at home for 1/10 the cost ;)
Congrats on paying it off but not to bust your bubble or anything but 44k in 42 months is only a little over 12k a year. People are already rolling around in 1k a month car payments these days with the current vehicle market so this really isn’t out of the ordinary. What makes this special is that it’s a GTR. Congratulations again bro, I know you’re proud.
That’s on top of the Supra tho which was the same. But keep in mind everyone has different incomes. So to a lot of people that’s probably a lot of money. 😉
@@BrosFOURRSpeed no doubt. I was floored when they hit me with a $1k a month payment when every other vehicle I’ve owned the payments really weren’t over $600 a month. The current vehicle market has gone insane in the past decade. Trucks used to be reasonable but now a base model is 40k. It’s gotten ridiculous and I hope that bubble pops soon and vehicles get to reasonable prices again. Saw a new Bronco the other day with a sticker price of 56k but had a dealer markup of 20k.
Congratulations paying it off. The quality of your GT-R content is the best on TH-cam. I own a 13’ have never driven a 17+ In your opinion are the transmission & interior refinements worth 20-30k+ it would take to own a 17+?
Technically no its not worth the money. But the newer cars hold their higher price. So if you can justify having more money into a car to enjoy the benefits. Then go for it. You'll still sell it for that high price. So it boils down if you want your money sitting in the car while you own it
You are one of the few people I know who has driven a Genesis Coupe 3.8 R-Spec as well as a 370Z Nismo, just wondering how they compared? I bought my 2013 3.8 Track for $15k an 370Z Nismo’s go for $35k, really not sure if it is a 20k dollar upgrade over my current car.
That’s a lot more money for sure! Nismo Z is definitely the next step up and is a better performance vehicle. While it’s more money, it’ll hold its value better. So you can always sell it and get your money out
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Hi , I brought a 2010 370z 40th anniversary JDM (RHD) manual .. .. . .prices now for manual Z34;s have gone up 1/3 of what I paid 6 months ago . . better investment than gold . ...never heard of a Genesis ..
@@malcolmcooper9509 Yeah prices on the Z and GTR have gone crazy high! Hyundai Genesis Coupe came out in 2010 and ran till like 2016. It was pretty popular back then as a good sportscar for the money. Now a days they are all riced out and super cheap. Not on the same level as a Z for sure!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed man the thing I love about you is that you’re constantly replying to your viewers, like most TH-camrs don’t even do that… nor bother to interact with em(like reply back) so I hope that never change when you hit them massive milestones ❤️!
@@9cop Yeah we notice it's nearly impossible to even get in contact with other TH-cam channels. We like replying to everything! Spend a few hours every day doing comments ;)
Meh.. Was able to pay more towards the payment because I budget my money and was able to save more and more as my income happened to increase. But making more money of course helps. Anyone can do this tho. Me buying the Supra was how I spent more money that I now make. But if my income never increased I just wouldn't have bought the Supra, and still would have paid tis off early.
People that say “real” men pay cash for cars are people who probably don’t even own a car themselves, or atleast own a car worth talking about. Respect for shopping around for a better interest rate
Very true! All depends on your goals and desires. Financing got me this car 4 years ahead of when I could have paid cash. But the GTR helped grow our channel and made a nice chunk of money form videos, and appreciated a significant amount too. Also brought some of the best memories to my life. So a couple grand to spend in interest, was all well worth it. And this car is helping me reach other big goals!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Right and if you waited those extra years to pay cash you would of probably had to pay more due to JDM’s increasing in price anyway. Nice work man and great car
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I’d rather put some money down instead of losing it all at once, and even if I have the money, I’d get investments that make me money and put some down
As another video idea, I've come across Uthenium spark plugs. This is a higher level than iridium. I would go NGK for the GTR. They've been out over a year now. I haven't heard of them until recently.
Loving the content so far man. I'm facing a dilemma if I should buy a GT-R now or wait later. A dealership has offered me 53K CDN for my current whip, which is essentially what I paid for it when I first brought it minus performance parts and carbon goodies. The dealership is offering me a 2017/2018 GT-R for around 110K CDN mark with 30000 kilometers. Should I wait it out or take this deal. All numbers are in Canadian dollar btw
Sounds like a pretty good deal. The used market is so hot right now and probably will be this way for a bit. It's hard to really speculate what will happen in a year. But you're also getting top dollar for your trade. So even though the GTR is more then what it would have been last year, so is your trade. If it works for you, go for it!
MB dealer told us that for a G wagon 9% is a good interest rate. This was while we got 2.99 for my gf's 19 AMG Glc43 we were buying. couldn't believe people pay that much for a 6 figure car
Wow, yeah that dealer was screwing you. % rate doesnt matter on the car as much as it does about your credit score. 800+ can easily get low interest on any car. As long as the car isnt old.
I’m sure it’s such an awesome feeling to not share the car with the bank lol would you recommend checking out interest rates elsewhere prior to going to the dealership to just avoid that from the start or see what the dealership will give you first?
Next time around when I buy the Z, I'm going to talk with my bank first and get an approval. And then at the dealer just tell them very bluntly to give me their best rate. I did refinance the GTR last year with my own bank and that made it much easier. I did the Supra as well. So I know I'll get a good rate with my bank. We'll see if the dearer plays games lol
What method did you use to pay it off in 3.5 years? I currently drive a 2021 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Premium and I owe approx. $42k. I would love to pay mine off quickly and then buy a Toyota GR 86.
Paying over the payment. Original payment was like $850. I started doing $1k a month. And then would do $1,500. Then all this year was doing over $2k. So just general budgeting is put ‘extra’ money towards the car to get it done
congrats on paying off the GTR - is there a certain year or a certain mileage where you feel you would stay away from if you were shopping for a GTR now? For instance - would $50k miles on a used GTR scare you away bc of big maintenance items associated with the mileage?
I have a question about the price, I see the new car build price for gtr r35 2021 on Nissan official website is between 115k-120k, but on the used car market, there are some offers for 2017-2018 gtr , and asking for 120k -130k, in this case, is it obvious that one should get a new one instead of those 2017-2018 ones? Not sure if I am missing anything
Some 2017 -2018 offer may also the almost same price as the build price, if not higher, just wondering what is the reason someone may still prefer the used car in this case
@@BrosFOURRSpeedthanks man, I am still watching the market, not ready though, just curious to see if I missed any “obvious” thing about brand new car. Really love your video! Thanks for replying ! I will get one for sure in the future!
If you would've had enough money to buy it outright would you still have financed it? That's kind of the boat im in. I have enough to buy it outright but im wondering if it would be better to just finance?
Funny you should ask. As of now I'll be buying the new Z next year. I can pay cash for that when the time comes and still have a nice chunk left over. But I'm still planning to put down $20k and finance about $25k of it. I'd rather have that extra $25k in the bank since I can have it go towards other things. I'll probably pay off the Z in 2 years and pay only $1k in interest. I know I'll be able to get my $1k worth out of borrowing the money. So depends on what you will use the remaining money on.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Ok yea that sounds like a solid plan. I will probably do the same. The remaining money for sure will go to mods. I want to do the same as you and get it FBO with an armytrix exhaust and a tune on full e85. Thank you so much for your replay I appreciate you. You guys gained a new subscriber for sure. The new Z looks dope I cant wait for that content!
Oh yes! The finance guys always screw you over. Even on my Supra the guy talked me into an extended warranty because he could also give me a lower rate 🙄. That was a trick. Luckily I canceled the warranty and got a full refund. Then refinanced with my own bank and got a lower rate. You live and learn unfortunately. But I’ve learned some good tricks now
Look at it like this man, you will get your money back and would have basically driven the car for free and make a profit if you sell it now. Nice to see people pay their cars off. Oh and People that don’t have shit always have an opinion lol Fuck em lol.
Yeah I’d make some serious profit if I sold this car! This car did well on TH-cam too. But it’s too fun to sell 😅 Definitely a good idea to work towards paying off a car

wait what, this is the first time i heard u could loan a car, everyone in my family bought the car full price, did some research and i see that u need to pay more than the original price. to me thats not worth it, i would just get a good job and save money
Honestly it's so cheap to borrow money today, that I'd rather have this car for the 4 years I've had it, then wait 4 years while I'm saving! I would totally do that again to enjoy the car, rather than wait and wait! Plus it can help build credit and if you can afford the monthly payments, it's better than parting with that much money all at once! Everyone has a preference and what they want to do, but at least for me, I don't regret buying it early like this and paying it off early saved a lot of money as well!
I won’t get an SUV till I have kids. I’ll have a few sportscars in the meantime. Then when kid 1 is on the way. Q3 time! Then probably upgrade to a Q8 when needed
Ok. To some people it is 🤷🏻♂️. I never said it’s the most amazing thing in the world. But still cool to turn a 60 month loan into 42. Keep in mind I also bought the Supra in the same timeframe
13+% is just whackadocious. I feel like dealers need regulations they have to follow to keep folks from getting screwed. They have so much freedom for mark up and it seems customers often don't have a chance to pay a FAIR price.
You're so down to earth, respect to you for keeping it real dude.

If so, it's valued right. ;)
Well done mate!! Great achievement. It's an extremely nice car and you've done a lot of awesome mods to it!
Enjoying the vids! Great job 👍
Thanks! Been such a fun car to own!
Congratulations man!
Thanks man!
@@dreyusalexander718 Oh nice! Gotta make it to the Charlotte Cars and Coffee! We go almost every month!
+ kid. :)
Oh nice! THat's a great duo for sure! I think an SQ5 will end up being in my future ;)
oh you did make another lol nice video man
For sure!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yep! Learning how to cook for myself was one of the first things I learned as a kid..
@@oreally8605 Thats a great skill to have! Once you know how to cook. It's hard to justify spending $30 on a meal at a restaurant that's going to take 45 minutes for it to even make it to your table. When I can make it in 20 at home for 1/10 the cost ;)
That’s awesome congrats. She is a beauty.
Thanks man!
Congrats that has to be a great feeling 💯🔥
Thanks! Yeah pretty cool to have the title and have no payments lol
@@RiZenAsH yeah market is crazy on cars now! buying new in many ways is better then used even. Hopefully the new Z I can get for sticker!
Congratulations paying it off. The quality of your GT-R content is the best on TH-cam. I own a 13’ have never driven a 17+
In your opinion are the transmission & interior refinements worth 20-30k+ it would take to own a 17+?
Technically no its not worth the money. But the newer cars hold their higher price. So if you can justify having more money into a car to enjoy the benefits. Then go for it. You'll still sell it for that high price. So it boils down if you want your money sitting in the car while you own it
Congrats! I’m a car lover too, I spend my money like you.
hah anice man! Glad you liked the vid!
Nice bro! I’m happy for you ❤️
This car is bone stock right?
If so, this shit sounds awesome ❤️!!!
Thanks! Far from stock! Bought it stock but now it’s full bolt ons running E85 with 700 hp. I have a ton of vids on the channel showing every mod
This is how he paid it off quickly started making a lot of money paid it off that’s about the sum of it
Or they make more money than you.
Congratulations! To many more videos and years enjoying Godzilla!!
Heck yeah! Love this car! I’ll always have a GTR in the garage 💪🏼
Thank you for recommending financing instead of paying cash
Yeah man all depends on your goals and needs. Made sense to finance for me. Especially since my cars make me money. But can’t put a price on the fun!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I’d rather put some money down instead of losing it all at once, and even if I have the money, I’d get investments that make me money and put some down
@@mileslynch Same. I could pay cash for the Z next year. But just doesn't make sense to put all that into a car. So just gotta do what works for you
Congratulations
Thanks man!
As another video idea, I've come across Uthenium spark plugs. This is a higher level than iridium. I would go NGK for the GTR. They've been out over a year now. I haven't heard of them until recently.
Oh interesting. Will they do anything different than the stock ones tho?
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Check that....Ruthenium
No Netflix , No Disney Plus , No Chick-fil-A , this man is Boss mode 💯👊🏽
Exactly! Spotify is the only thing i have. But my brother and I split that 😎.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yeah that’s what we thought. We just figured people buying g wagons and financing them have shit credit maybe.
People saying “pay cash” are clueless and financially uneducated.
Yeah it all depends on how you can make your money work for you ;)
Agree.
LMFAO! Cluesless, or make more than you. LOL!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thanks Brother
Congrats paying off your GTR, I’ll be shopping for a newer GTR in the future. Will you trade-in for a new redesign GTR?
Thanks! You'll love a GTR! My plan is to buy a 2017+ in a few years and sell mine. I havent seen anything about an R36 car tho
congrats on paying off the GTR - is there a certain year or a certain mileage where you feel you would stay away from if you were shopping for a GTR now? For instance - would $50k miles on a used GTR scare you away bc of big maintenance items associated with the mileage?

Here's a whole vid I made on that! They are pretty reliable cars. People hit 100k easy
hell yea brother.
Thanks!
Yeah if you are already able to go with a $100k GTR, go for a brand new one. No sense getting one thats 4 years old when new could be the same price
Crazy market!
@12:15 this is why people like me absolutely hate dealerships. The dishonesty and grimy tactics employed infuriates me 😡
But I’ve learned some good tricks now
Awesome 😎👍
Thanks ✌️

Look at it like this man, you will get your money back and would have basically driven the car for free and make a profit if you sell it now. Nice to see people pay their cars off. Oh and People that don’t have shit always have an opinion lol Fuck em lol.
Yeah I’d make some serious profit if I sold this car! This car did well on TH-cam too. But it’s too fun to sell 😅

Do you still live at home? no mortgage or apartment rent obviously makes things much different
No I haven't lived at home for around 8 years now! So I have bills and been on my own for a long time!

Oh haha. The headlight is bolted to the front subframe. It can take some weight 😜

wait what, this is the first time i heard u could loan a car, everyone in my family bought the car full price, did some research and i see that u need to pay more than the original price. to me thats not worth it, i would just get a good job and save money

13+% is just whackadocious. I feel like dealers need regulations they have to follow to keep folks from getting screwed. They have so much freedom for mark up and it seems customers often don't have a chance to pay a FAIR price.
