I guess if you have big budget, they'll show you a dress which isn't very costly....
But if your budget is not big, they'll show you the dresses that will not let you get married
I thought the same thing!! When the bride have low budget they give them the most beautiful gown but is way over budget and cruch everything saying...is you want something beautiful is gonna cost more, but here we are watching a beautiful gown under 2... that is the average bride budget in every single episode. I doesn't make sence to me.

That is their job, theyre always trying to trick you, when the budget is low they show you dresses the double of the budget so it will make you really like it.
Ironically, those with the highest expectations come in with the lowest budgets - and the price reflects the dress. They go through several dresses in recording before being edited down to two or three, and they've been shown a more expensive dress at some point to show contrast.

It’s the same situation with both kleinfeld and confetti and lace; both partially owned or endorsed heavily by Pnina in NY and Dando in UK... it’s honestly criminal to endorse the designers so heavily and push their designs just for owning or paying the shops

This uk version is crazy! When the brued has a budget of 4000 they show her the dress of 1000 to 2000.and when the budget is 2000 or less they show the dress for higher price! Crazyyy!
Maybe he gets paid a bigger fee/commission by the designer for dresses sold.

Fariha Siddiqui you have to take into account all the brides wants. Certain details up the price. I don’t remember which episode it was, but that was explained in one of them... so maybe because she didn’t have a long laundry list, or just very specific expectations, the dresses they pulled or they had that fit what she wanted just happened to be in that lower price range... the more material & the more bling, the higher the price & she wasn’t wanting any of that...

Like @Athina Varnava said, it's the Greek Cypriot community in the UK. Like the US Greek diaspora, it's a community with its own traditions and a fusion of various cultural elements. Still, I think in this case the producers just needed a theme for the segment and decided to play on the "Big Fat Greek Wedding" reference, which they kinda forced upon the bride.

I don't know what exactly is the Greek wedding gown because here in Greece I've seen all kinds of wedding dresses in ever style. There are brides really elegant and stylish with figure hugging dresses ant others really beautiful with princess dresses. Everyone different but all of them chic and pretty.

I like her friends here compared from the other brides. These group of friends are very supportive, no criticism when it comes to the bride's body shape. Unlike others, they would critic the bride which make me feel they are so jealous. But this part, glad she had good friends with her
Exactly, I could tell they were not crazy abt the last dress... but it was lovely seeing how they all supported and Rallied behind the Bride without any protest. Those are real Friends. (not like here in the US!)
It's something else when you experience the ups and downs helping someone you love find their Wedding dress. Helping my Granddaughter was so exciting, had my addrelin going! Complementing other young ladies, seeing the smile on their faces made me so happy. The store offered me a Job!😁 I would love to do that, but to far to drive and I can't see to drive at night. But, I'd do it just because it was such a joyous experience. When in doubt it's not the Dress. When they put on the Dress they weren't sure was for them, then see how beautiful, the glee in their eyes says it all. To many times the Bride is so disappointed in the vision they had, AND THEN the vision wasn't right. All Brides need to look as good going as they do coming. Let them know, it's not their body, it's the dress that isn't right for them. There is that perfect Dress for every Bride. All Brides of All Sizes are Beautiful. The most beautiful thing a Bride can Wear on her Special Day is the Glow of Love and Happiness.

They are so sweet and nice, not like the american entourage who so often are horrible, mean and think that they are entitled to say and claim anything they want, and some of them are so rude and selfish it hurts to watch. If I can say something with a grain of salt of course. If I saw their last names correctly they aren’t Greek but Cypriot- Greek. I’m Greek and I live in Cyprus and believe me Greek and Cypriot women have a really different perception of style and elegance so I wouldn’t take what these lovely ladies say as something a typical Greek woman would say about style and dresses. Because we have all kinds of fitted or ball gown dresses. And no bride is the same here.
Every bride ends up with this particular dress, yeah it's flattering on most of the brides but it's a big store they must have dresses in the same silhouette but different design. I am sick of this dress

The 3 dresses looked amazing on her ❤ but it's quite confusing in this show : when the budget is 2000 or 1000 they show the bride a 3000 dress !! But when it's a big budget like this one 4000 they don't even show her a 3000/4000 dress 😁😁😁😁
So they give 4000£ budget way less than that & totally normal to go over budget with others.
A lot of people are commenting on the price, but I get the impression this place just doesn't sell £4000 dresses. It's rare you see them go past £2000. And whenever they are well under budget, the bride acts like she's pleased, but you can always tell she's not. You can see it going through their mind that they are about to agree to a 'cheap' dress.
I'm Greek and obviously my family is too. None of us wore big poofy dresses. She's stereotyping that stupid movie.

I live in Greece and have only ever been to one Greek wedding where the bride has worn a puffy dress (and that was in a effort to hide her baby-bump).
This dress has been been on sooo many of these shows. Would have been nice to others. That big store and we keep seeing the same old gowns

Also wondering, when a bride has a 'healthy budget' why is it the staff *always* puts them in something waaaaay under.. but when a bride is working with $1000-ish.. they stuff them into something two/three times what they can spend? very odd

*SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT* .The problem is not with the consultants being ignorant of the budget, the problem is inventory management. So the average of of all the dresses in the uk version is set around 1500-2500. That's why we think that for brides with a budget more than 3000 are always shown something way under budget.
