    seems like she hates living in paris and is just living there to say "oh yeah I live in Paris"

      Sometimes people can complain a lot about something and still like it. She's said many times that she likes living there and she probably made other videos about the stuff she likes. Maybe here, this is just a time where she vents a lot

      I think the opposite; she speaks like someone who has passed the honeymoon period and see the negative sides like french people do, and she complains, like french people do, she's turning into a french person, she's adapted perfectly, that love/hate relationship is something all french people share!

    French speaker here, went to a French middle school and high school. For those who wonder, I think the reason why they have such a hard time apologizing is because they really value their intelligence. Like she said, French people definitely love to debate, discuss topics, and they study a lot of different courses from middle school and high school that would be College level courses compared to the American systems. Even some of their top rappers (like Youssoupha) have arts degrees.
    *A small annectode: In middle school and high school, if somebody made a grammatical mistake while talking we would laugh, then write it down with the name of the person and the date.
    So saying "I'm sorry" probably feels to them like saying "I'm stupid, not as smart as I thought I am and should be" "😀Oh no, that can't be.."
    PS: Thank you for making those videos, they're very educational!

    Even the French Government acknowledged that the rudeness was an issue, I mean that is pretty bad when you know the French Government is saying Parisians are freaking rude. I just dont think there is any kind of excuse for that attitude towards foreigeners. If there is a complete lack of understanding to be kind, that is revolting.

      The French government never said that. And rudeness and politeness are cultural concepts. That's always the same type of people who have "rudeness" issues in France.

    So good, I love your podcast. I was a flight attendant attendant for 15 years and have lived many places but your pod gives me so much understanding beneath the different cultures even in the US bc we all come from different ancestral cultures so it helps to know why people can be so unfriendly , rude and hard to get along with. You are so very likable that I am watching all your videos. You have a real talent with all these different cultures. The girl you’re interviewing now is so helpful. I so agree about a the golden retriever metaphor of Americans with having a nice moment with a sincere coment that makes both people feel good. I do it unconsciously on the street or anywhere.

    I had to give her the Ben Shapiro treatment and put this video at 75% playback to make her speak at a normal speed.

    I lost interest in what she had to say when she said she still loved it after having been scammed multiple times. Wouldn't be my attitude. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

    Interesting insights. No hate but she seems very "Pick Me". Could be my jealously that she can afford to live abroad.

    Haha, you're very Russian after all! I am ususally very critical of American small talk normally though I am a native born New Yorker but indeed find Russians and Eastern Europeans quite direct and eschew small talk as pointless unless they know each other well. PS I've noticed recently when you introduce your background you mention Eastern European but we know your background (unless it was one of the former Soviet republics like Burkarian or such) so why not mention it? It's ironic considering the theme of the wonderful shows you produce. I think it'll lend well and more interest to your program (my father spoke Russian and I used to live in a predominantly Burkarian neighbourhood here in NYC.)

    • @datingbeyondborderscast
      @datingbeyondborderscast  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do mention it in the videos on TH-cam but in this one it seemed easier to say Eastern European since they are all direct 😁

    The amount of 'like' used by this woman 🤦🏻‍♀️

  • @JAG214
    @JAG214 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I don't like conversation that will lead to noting aka small talk just for the sake of it if it not going to lead to something
    I myself am up front and do not play games like some do
    Why did the American woman contradict herself about liking small talk then saying she does not because to me she just like it when it benefits her
    A lot of American women are defensive towards straight men for whatever
    A lot of American women make dumb tiktok short clips/videos like what she said if I am having a bad day because of someone I may make a tiktok like that not the right way to go about it and their a lot of tiktok clips/videos like that among many other dumb clips/videos on xyz
    The French are rude to the outside world when they themself do not see themself like that
    And yes not all French people are rude
    I been to France twice
    She talked about how in France they do not take accountability for their actions or for being wrong and yet men in the US say that a lot of women in the US don't take accountability for their actions or when they are wrong
    You should never show your weak side because that when you will get hurt for the most part
    I myself do not like participation trophy because in real life not everyone wins in xyz
    Just like anything in life some places are rude and some are not like New York were people say New Yorkers are rude just like how people say the French people are rude or when Canadians say French Canadians are rude it is what it is and just move on with life and understand not everyone is like this or that when the majority may be of xyz
    She has that I am a 10/10 mentality like a lot of American women have now days because in real life not everything is going to be a 10/10
    I am like the French when it comes to celebrities because I can care less about celebrities because to me their better things, I could be doing then caring about what xyz is doing
    US women are making it harder for the average US man to date and so on now days for so many reasons which you can google or watch TH-cam videos on
    Women make F Boys because F Boys can't be F Boys without Women
    I am ready to date but getting a woman in the US to date me and so on is like fishing were you put a lot of bait in hopes you catch a fish but at the end you are lucky if you even catch one
    For me listening to her talk is making me exhausted

      So you make that assumption about women from the USA out of a population of over 300 million? Are you joking? Wtf man, that is such a bs assumption.

      She is a Russian immigrant to Canada, not American. She contradicted herself because she spends lots of time on this channel talking about cultures outside of Canada, dated a European etc, and still clearly feels torn and trying to act cool to Europeans who act like it's cool to look down on and hate on American culture
