    MINISKIRT A little history
The miniskirt was created by Lucien David LANGMAN, Master Tailor of the Jean Raymond house in 1959. Mary QUANT, the British woman, bought 2 miniskirts cut by Lucien David Langman at the Boutique des Arts in Saint Tropez and paraded them on a young model of 16 years TWIGGY in New York in 1966. The Miniskirt creations of Lucien David Langman and the aspiring model were a success in NEW YORK and launched Mary Quant to the forefront #jeanraymond #LucienLangman

These clothes made a crunchy noise when you moved. That’s my memory. Also, very colorful.Didn’t know the Lennon’s were wearing Mary Quaint. I wore knock offs.

I think it is an exaggeration to say that she was one of the most important designers of the 20th Century. I have often equated her as Britain's answer to Coco Chanel for a younger generation. She was not as revolutionary as Chanel, Schiaparelli, or Yves St Laurent but made a significant contribution to 60s fashion.

One would think that rather than difficult buttons, Quant might rather have used snaps to close her dresses. Were snaps even a 'thing' back then? It's too bad our current 'future' didn't match the wild imaginings of those back in the 60s!

I found this fascinating. However, the common use of ‘vocal fry’ that is used by the lady is so irritating.
