I love Mary Quant. I always found her so inspiring, I chose to do a whole project on her for my textiles GCSE many years ago. She was a legend. Rest in peace lovely Mary ❤.

Yes, I agree. She is remarkably well composed, especially as he continually tries to take her down a notch. His condescension is cringey.

Mary was the quintessential fashion icon of the 1960’s. A true visionary of her art. She was the nucleus ⚛️, the heartbeat 💓 and the spirit 👐 of fashion. The greatest designer of her generation. And she had the style, personality and charisma to shine 🌟. A sad loss, but Thank You Mary. RIP 🙏🏾💐💐💐

The interviewer is unusually hospitable but not fake and he asked good questions.

It's funny how annoying he is about the uniform color trends around 15 minutes into this.

La Mode s'exporte : la Minijupe est Française the miniskirts French fashion was exported to England
French fashion was exported to England: the miniskirts and minidresses, creative inventions of Frenchman Lucien David LANGMAN fall winter 1959/1960, caused a buzz in London in 1966.
The miniskirt was created by Lucien David LANGMAN, Master Tailor of the Jean Raymond house in 1959. Mary QUANT, the British woman, bought 2 miniskirts cut by Lucien David Langman at the Boutique des Arts in Saint Tropez and paraded them on a young model of 16 years TWIGGY in New York in 1966. The Miniskirt creations of Lucien David Langman and the aspiring model were a success in NEW YORK and launched Mary Quant to the forefront.

You could frame any of her dresses hang it on a wall and it would be viewed as art.
