That was an awesome documentary! I salute all men and women in the arm forces. Your dedication, bravery, patience and sacrifice will not go un-noticed. Thank you very much for your service. God bless!
Being a retired Marine I can apreciate any film on a military subject. This is by far some of the best work I have seen on youtube. The story has a feel that only a veteran could create, and told in a manner that only a veteran could tell. It has the grittyness that could only come from real experience carrying a pack and rifle. THIS IS A JOB WELL DONE!! Semper Fi
Thank you for your feedback. From the veterans and non-vets on this project, we thank you for your service. I am former Navy and served in a fleet air reconnaissance unit. My buddy, the military advisor on this project, is a former Army Ranger with four combat tours under his belt. We tried to get as close as we could to Mil-spec without going over time and budget.
Love your sense of humor - "exceptionally well shot" indeed! Pity about the way he waves a torch around at the start mind, tells everybody where he is! On a normal night you don't need extra light outside - there is enough as it is!
Thanks for this vid. It reminds me of a time a while back now out training in the scrub. I was standing, and looking directly at a sniper. He was about 3m away but could not see him. Even though I knew he was 'somewhere', for some reason I was fixated on another more 'obvious' target. After 10 min - 15 min, the guy stepped forward and said boo. I think I let a little poo out. Yes patience is the greatest weapon and a weapon even good and technically accurate movies can never quite master.
When I was young my dad would take me deer hunting with him. The result.of it was that I feel in love with deer hunting. He never taught me how to hunt from a stand saying it's not truly one on one. Instead he taught me how to stalk my pray. My dad was a big man. He stood 6' 4" tall and around 215 pounds. I stood in awe at how quietly and patiently he moved threw the woods. Pains takingly slow. It was very hard for me at first, and if I were to make a mistake he'd give me a look that sent chills down my spine. As I grew I became very adapt to this style of hunting.and as an adult, I became very good at it too. I almost never hunted from a deer stand unless it was requested by a property owner or something to that effect. I've killed many deer in my life. More than anyone I've ever hunted with. Including my dad. And the vast majority of deer killed were the result of the painstakingly slow, quite, patient stalking technique. Many times in my life it surprised the heck.out of me that I was able to get so close to an old buck before I snuffed him out. I'm too old and beat up now days. And my patience has grown to thin to hunt in that Manor. But any veteran deer Hunter will tell you it's next to imposible to get as close to a white tail deer as I have in my life. Sometimes I think I may have missed my calling and would have made a jam up sniper. I taught my boys to hunt in the same way over the years, but they were never quite as good as their old man. Good video. I enjoyed it very much.
To have the patience and courage to get face down in the mud & dirt, to blend in while at the same time dealing with the elements, poisonous snakes, and other critters, while staying focused on the mission and the shot, is just mind-boggling to me!
As a Veteran I totally appreciated the movie. Yes it was fake BUT very well done and good storyline. I thought it was good. Who cares about what the haters say, there's always going to be haters about something lol. Keep up the good work y'all!
When I joined the Armed Forces in Canada. I joined the Air Force wanted to be a fighter pilot. Little did I know once you signed that dotted line you belong to the Armed Forces, and once you show skill in certain areas you belong to that area. Now that being said and I am not going to nit pick, its a movie not a documentary, It is very well done, I enjoyed this a whole lot more than American sniper. And yes his movement was too rapid in many cases. It can take, you will have to trust me on this one. 7 or 8 hours to move 200 yards when stalking. Enough said, Hope you got as good a mark as your sniper.
Hey fans. Thank you so much for your time, consideration and comments. We apologize for not making another military-based project in a while, but we've had scheduling conflicts. Our schedules have been slowly realigning, so hopefully we'll be able to make another project in the coming year (2015). Happy Holidays and we hope you all have a fantastic New Year.

You guys are great. All your projects absolutely fantastic and realistic. I hope you can create a lot more military related films. Best regards, Abin Mathew
Excellent short film set within SOCOM parameters. The *hoops you must jump thru in this PC correct (in their eyes) university's BS regs.* Been down that road myself. Great music near the end.
That was a nice little video. I enjoyed it a lot. It'd be a nice intro to a movie. But of course you'd likely do something other than the animations. Still a lot of fun watching.
I want to say what a magnificent job you did with your production. I was glued to the screen the whole time. I honestly had to laugh at the critics who had issues with the sniper barely being seen here or there. You have to show the sniper somewhere during the movie to know there is some reason for even watching. Otherwise what would be the point watching something that you can't really see...lol. Also... IT'S A MOVIE for Pete's sake! I have to give it a AAA+ rating. Thanks for sharing it with our TH-cam community. Looking forward to your future productions you'll be creating as well. Thanks again.
Thank you. We're glad you liked it. The prop rifle is based on the Accuracy International AW-series rifle system. It comes in .300, .308 and .338 configurations. Originally, it was meant to be the military standard.308, but we used a .300 WinMag casing, because it looked better than the .308 casings that we had on set.
A relative of mine went through sniper training back when Carlos Hathcock was still an instructor in the sniper program. Hathcock's biography, "Marine Sniper" shows just how steady these guys have to be and as mentioned in this video, how impossible some of the missions were. A great read about one of the men who helped shape the sniper program.

As a veteran I have to say, this was very accurate and exceptionally well shot.

As a US Marine veteran, I respect this guy who took on the job as a sniper and executed the position that he was given...
Sacrifice is the most challenging test...What are you willing to give up to win...Great words indeed..👊👊

First, let me address your technical concerns. Yes, there are technical issues that others have brought up as well. The answer is simple, we had no time. This project only had a few days of actual production with a very small crew. Literally, two to three crew members per day. To make the day (a term meaning, to get all the shots and scenes needed within the time allotted), we had no choice but to cut corners.
I'm glad that you are considering the military, but please do so for the right reasons. Don't do it because you feel pressured into it. Consider your goals in life and where you want to be in five or ten years. The military is a great place to learn discipline, structure, and even a trade, among other things. Take this into consideration and do the research.
