- Small gas powered cultivators, or "mini tillers" as some people call them, have been popular piece of equipment for years with home owners that have flower beds and gardens. Their popularity is due to their light weight and maneuverability. They can be used in small flower beds, to till up an area to start a garden, or even be used between established crop rows to chew up weeds. The Mantis brand of cultivator is one of the most popular options because it is available in a lot of mass merchant stores and many different places on the web. The Echo TC-210 is not as well known in some areas, but as we explain here in our video, the TC-210 has more similarities to the Mantis 7920 model than you might realize. And don't forget that Echo offers a 5 year warranty on their products compared to the 2 year warranty provided by Mantis.

26 years and still running great for my mantis. Spark plug and 1 primer bulb replacement last year and that is bang for your buck
They are great machines to have around.
Thanks for the video, this is exactly the comparison I was looking for. My old mantis tiller died, and it will be replaced with echo.
Well versed cut to the chase best no brag just fact production seen in a mighty long time!
TY
Thanks for that great feedback! Much appreciated!
Can I use the Echo air filter in my Mantis 7940 because it's a better filter?..Thanks
Can I put the echo air filter on the mantis?
Thumbs up to your video very informative
Glad you enjoyed it
I get it , if you own Echo, you want to prop it up, If you own a Mantis you want to prop it up. I have had both. Echo is good product , If Echo went with a Honda motor, I may consider. The Mantis with the Honda Motor is hard to beat.
Thanks for the review .
Thanks for watching and commenting
Are the kickstands interchangeable? I just bought a new 7920 2 stroke mantis tiller. This model does not come with a kickstand. However I wanted to know if I buy one will it fit? It comes automatically on the mantis 7924 2 stroke model.
The spark plugs are probably the same as my other echo equipment too.
Where can I buy one of these if I live overseas?
Can you service the gear box on either piece of equipment?
Great video! Had my Mantis for over 20 years. Gonna pick up the Echo this spring. Do the Mantis attachments fit the Echo? Thanks
If it is the model/style of Mantis tiller shown in this video then yes they should work.
Do the tines and attachments interchange between Mantis and Echo?
Looks like the Echo engine is mounted crooked. Not square to the handlebars. OCD but would bug me.
Now what about Echo vs Honda??
Specifically the FG110 (not the Mantis with Honda engine)
what does the 5 year warranty covers?
Failures due to casting flaws and/or poor workmanship mostly
Ciao sono giuliano volevo sapere dove si possono acquistare i prodotti che ho visto sul sito
You have not seen a mantis up close. The mantis red shroud seals the air cleaner. I have had a mantis for over 25 years. BUT I use Amsoil for the gas mix. Only Amsoil. With Amsoil your engine will run a very long time!
Wow That Was Good Info But The ECHO Is Almost $ 100.00 More So ???
$199 home Depot close out for echo?
Wow that is a deal!
My Mantis has a Honda engine. No one beats a Honda Engine.
The Mantis we are comparing here has an Echo 2 cycle engine. Mantis has several models including the one in this video, one with a Honda as you mentioned, and even a battery powered version.
Until a Honda engine breaks.
I own a ton of Echo stuff. Runs well and parts have been easy to get. The only thing that I feel I need Stihl for is chainsaws.
Good comparison. The Mantis 7940 is an even better tiller with a Honda engine and not a whole lot more. Something to think about.
Just put the Echo air cleaner and filter on the Mantis
Eshlemania TV!?
20 bonus points to you!! Eshie's got a lot of irons in the fire these days!
Echo vs Honda! I've had Echo it's simply JUNK! Honda is bullet proof
