I read LOTM because of toxic fanboys on Tiktok comparing it to other novels and trashing them. Not the best mindset to come in to read, but I started it overly critical. Having read all of it as well as keeping up with COI, I can say it's one of if not the best I've ever read. It's almost impossible to put down once you get past the 1st volume. The twists, the world, the power system, it's all breathtaking.
I have no idea what it is, I only saw the reactions people had to the trailer. People were talking about it like it's some masterpiece, assume it some beloved series that people are excited it finally got an adaptation. I had no idea what it was so this helped alot thanks.
U should read it, though you have bear with the first volume, after, you will get addicted to it, I read atleast 20 chapters a day, and every chapters is longer compared to other novels

i started reading lotm a week before I started the second semester. i finished it after finals ❤️ in a sense ive grown with the story, ploughing through 1.3k+ chapters while juggling multiple real world responsibilities. lotm is absolutely goated
it took me a week to force myself to finish the first volume. And than i i finished the entire novel in 4 days. One of the few webnovels than can easily be printed as book and sold in western bookstores to adults audience coz unlike other webnovels there are none of those embarasing and stupid comedic reliefs and forced romance. NO harem, No stupid kinks just for sake of it, no teeny romance crushes or god forbid beach episode. Just a pure epic story and character development.
I stayed all night awake to finish the novel before starting my first job the next morning 😂 I can t even remember how I introduced myself to my students becuz my mind was elsewhere 😂

This conclusion came from the best and the most professional psychiatrist in the world.!! And probably some other factor as well like why some of their memory about daily life is gone and also they seemingly lose some of their time. They're aware of this, but they somehow couldn't fully comprehend what is happening. Unless they carefully think about it 🧐✍🏼
Funny you say that cuz I just finished vol 1 and am very underwhelmed. These 200 chapters seem like a prologue and I don't understand the hype. But I'll see what happens next hope things will get more intresting

I saw Dunn's death coming 100 chapters ago. But The final scene of Klein as a clown infront of his siblings didn't move me much. It was sad yeah but all were kind bland characters and their siblingship always felt forced. Overall Id give vol 1 - 7/10
i want to assure you that if you feel underwhelmed that is completely fine, i hate it when ppl put the novel on a pedestal (i m a diehard lotm fan btw). sure it is THE novel for many, but it is also literal trash for others, as well as there are ppl who don't feel the same amount of hype as they thought they should. if you end up not finding the novel fun to read even as you read through volume 2 and beyond, or if you decide to drop it eventually. it just means this novel wasn't to your taste. if pol have a problem with you because of that...they are the ones with problems.
