    I personally own 48 of these and they are excellent bright lights for the price. The rockforce W2 wireless Dmx Controller works great with them.

    I own and use the Rockwedges and yes they are AMAZING uplights! I had no idea you could swap out the batteries though. Glad I stumbled upon your video! Just subscribed. Good work!

    Awesome! I love Rockville products and laugh when other DJ say they are not good quality. I own quite a few of the Rockwedge's and I agree they are great. Thank you for this information as I will be buying some extra batteries to have on hand!

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Totally agree! Anyone who says this is not good quality has probably never owned one. The quality of these lights are good. These are non-flicker - which is a bonus as they're good for videos. You literally get EVERY FEATURE and they are gorgeous. The field swappable batteries alone make them a better advantage over ones that don't. I always believe in practicality which is why I think these are great.

    We absolutely love the Rockville Wedges IR, Best Par60 and also mini 4rf. We still have some Chauvet and also have the Chauvet Gig Bar Move. But these lights are definitely a Game Changer!!

    I just bought a couple of these to start to see how they are. I’m impressed.
    I only have one button to power on the light so they changed it around. That’s how they should have been designed from day one. I now plan on buying a total of 40

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had them for a couple years now and they are still holding up pretty good so far. You're buying $40 lights. Wow. That's going to be incredible.

    The only negatives I’ve heard from others is regarding the battery. Folks are sharing that they get a order and get a dead one or more. Or, after a few usages, the battery dies.
    How long did you have your light before it died and did Rockville take care of the cost. I also heard their customer service was pretty good.
    Thanks for the video.

      I had this particular light for about a year, but it started to do this after about 7 months. If I would have thought to take it apart sooner I would have been able to have it fixed under warranty. I literally missed my warranty by 17 days. LOL

Now i know where to get batteries if they fail. also side note. always fully discharge battery when low then recharge. helps with the life of battery.

      I talked to customer support at Rockville when I had my issue and they were pretty good. My lights were just out of the warranty window when I discovered this, so if your light is less than a year since the date of purchase they should be able to warranty it for free. You'll just have to pay to ship your light to them. Good luck with Rockville. Let us know how it turns out. Glad this video could help.

    Hey DJ cdub, thanks for posting a great review on these Rockville lights. Defiantly sold me and I purchased 10 to try them out. Question for you, have you figured out a way to shut off the wireless blinking light? I am able to shut off the led display via the menu prompts but those blinking led lights might get a bit annoying for the customer. any feedback is appreciated, thx..

    • @tonymesina8227
      @tonymesina8227 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just an update, I resolved it well sort of. You can go to the 2.4 ghz option on the menu hit enter then scroll to off then enter which will shut off the blinking light but also, the wireless feature which of course is a problem. Guess I’ll resort to white gaff tape to cover up that annoying blinking light.

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agreed, that would be my only strike against these lights. It would be nice to shut off that LED. Gaffe tape is a DJ's best friend. Thanks for the info.

    Thanks for the review. I've got a bunch of these lights too and I have about 6 with dead batteries. The batteries died about 6 months after purchase. The biggest problem is the replacement batteries have been out of stock for well over a year now. I've put myself on the email list to notify me when available, I've called Rockville several times to see if and when they'll be available and they said they don't know. Has anyone been able to order replacements? I've scoured the web with no luck. If anyone knows how or where to purchase please let me know. Thanks!!

    Are you able to share the DMX signal between other non-wireless DMX fixtures? I have tried and that function does not work for me.

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The other fixtures that were non DMX make work on a different type of wireless frequency.

    • @notadjservices3362

      @@Ilovedjcdub I am using some chinesse wireless uplights and they share the wireless signal without any issues, the rockwedge does not. The wedges work fine with my donner but they do not share the DMX signal. I was wondering if there is something I need to do to make it work. Hard to believe a chinesse product is better than the RV.

    • @masterpdj2623

      That's the only problem with Rockwell wedges the DMX, I'm send 30 of them back in the morning. You can master slave them but as soon as you plug DMX into them they stop talking to each other .

    What type of wireless dmx does it use?

    • @Ilovedjcdub
      @Ilovedjcdub  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I use Soundswitch with a Donner Wireless DMX transmitter to communicate with the lights. It uses your standard color 2.4ghz wireless DMX signal, so all you do is match the color and you're good to go. One awesome feature about this light that Rockville should advertise more is that the lights also wireless transmit to each other which gives you a longer range. The first light you turn on automatically acts as the master and the rest as slaves transmitting and receiving to each other. I'll do a video on this down the road.
