I miss my Rockwell wedges. I replaced them with the both IR4’s but I think I am going to go back to the Rockwell wedges because they are so much brighter.
Great show, I just ordered some rock wedges and a controller hope they all work when they get here. Yep first in and last out. Everyone always ask if they can help me, I say thanks for asking but no thanks. I can go much faster doing it my self.
I'm slowly buying the Rockwedges a couple at a time. I'll be getting the controller eventually as well but the remote control in master/slave mode is good enough for now. These lights are really a great value at $109 each.
My friend I am so proud of you, everything looks so neat and organized and thank you for making this awesome video. Many of us DJs have a hard time putting our lights together but your setup is definitely superb. Congrats and blessings 🙌 🙏 ✨️
Props for getting all your equipment with 1 load-in/out. Such a time saver! I, too, have rockwedges but to save space, I used the remote. Mine would sometimes not link with the main light, so I decided to go with Ape Labs. I've kept the rockwedges just it case I need more lighting, but I absolutely love my Ape labs. Great gig log! Keep em comin!

Awesome info bro. Are the uprights Rockville rf4? They now got ir4 from both that are more expensive. Does remote work with them if I slave them? Do I have to do each light to set them to sound mode? Sorry for all the questions. Lol you rock man.
The uplights used in this video are Rockville Rockwedges. If you have question about the new Both IR4 lights, you should watch Rick Webb's video on them. He answers all the questions about them.
Question. If you only had "8" uplights, how would you position them in a room this size? Would you have them in the dance floor area. Or behind you, or some other place? I only have 8 so far, that's why I'm asking. Thanks for any answers!
It depends on your goal objectives. Will you be using any other lights too? Did your client pay for uplighting? If client paid for uplighting and that's all you have then you need to place all 8 around the room. If you don't have any other lights and client did not pay for uplighting, then I'd put 2 on my table pointing on the dance floor, 2 behind me and 4 around the dance floor to help with the dancing atmosphere.
Great video! Are those for bar lights strong enough to use as front-lighting, wash lighting, for a 15ft wide stage for a magic show I do? Like, if I had one on each side raised up and angles right would I be able to get a decent wash with them and then use them for some of the dance numbers me and my girls do? If so, I will probably purchase these this week and then a 4 pars to use as back lights and possibly Footlights. Let me know your thoughts about using them as a white wash light. Thank you!
I think so. Before I became a DJ, I purchased these 4 bars to light up my band. I saw another band using them and I loved how they lit up the stage and the band members. A 15 ft stage isn't that big so I think a pair of 4 bars with some additional par lights on the floor should be plenty. The only problem is the 4 bars have been discontinued by Chauvet. Good luck!
My mannnnn! You probably have the smartest, simplest, most effective setup i have ever seen! Good job, and im pretty much sold on those Wedges - for the price and what you get out of them - WOW. I had this crazy idea though to put 4 of them on a custom made "4bar" using a tripod so my dance floor wash will be completely wireless as well.
Thanks! You certainly can do that and it should work great! My Chauvet 4-bar system basically does just that, but they don't make the 4-bars anymore. I love the 4 bars because they are so lightweight. I use a wireless dmx receiver on them and it works great!
Great video! Love your efficient set up. Wireless is the way to go. How did you attach your gig bar to the evolves? Did you use a clamp or is there an extra hole on top of the speaker to add a short light pole?
