I don’t know how your soils compare to ours but we have tight clay. Pattern tile is usually put in shallower and closer together about 20’-30’ spacing 22”-36” deep. How shallow can you run moles and get them to last for 2-3 years? We’ve been considering trying some to help out our pattern tile but obviously won’t be able to run it very deep

You could run it about 20cm deep without them failing, just have to make sure they are put when the conditions are the best.
Sweet mole plot, first time I have seen one actually working. How much did that cost or did Rata ‘gift’ it for the internet exposure ?
It cost me $4500 in 2019. I wish I could get it gifted. Thanks for watching.
Being so small what would the trench maximum length be
Our paddocks are not that big. Max pull would be 100m
I am not sure how field size would matter? Also what is the best speed? Finally Would a bigger expander be a good idea? Thanks @@kiwifarmernz
@@robertodonoghue4100 I doesn't ready matter on size of paddock. Speed is slow at 3kph or walking speed. You can get bigger moles if you need also.
Impossible to find one of these in the USA
Thats a bugger. They are a really good machine in the correct conditions.
