I love their garlic sausage range too and it’s difficult to get good garlic sausage….even the smoked cooked pork belly is delicious..I’ve tried several polish foods and all delicious.dont think I’ve not enjoyed any… definitely encourage branching out and trying…☺️
The Morrisons suet steak pie that you recently reviewed, are indeed excellent. Even better, they were 3 for 2 so £7,98 for 3 which is £2.66 each ! Thanks for reviewing them otherwise I’d probably not have tried them.
Oh No! It has got Sodium Nitrate in it that turns colon polyps cancerous. Consult your doctor before trying this. I love the jelly too but will not be buying this.
My dad was Polish so often eat polish food and buy Polish food from the supermarket and Polish shop. Its nice that you reviewed this although it not something i would buy. Definately guys check out the international section at your local supermarket its often similar and cheaper to the mainstream stuff. Polish food is very much comfort food much like we have have here. The food is different but its has the same basis of being warming and comforting on cold winters days.
That looks fancy! Scant chance of getting it here in Ireland, they don't even have Spam, or lard in any of the supermarkets I been to. Will drive over the border soon and see what I can find! Great video as always Gaz.
I’ve had this about a month ago and finished the tin in one go. A polish friend opened it for me to try because he knew I liked spam. When he came back with the crusty little breads he couldn’t believe I had scoffed the lot. I didn’t realise we were to share it. He’s gone back home now and I’ve no idea where he got it. Thanks for the memories Gaz. 👍
Yep, good stuff Baldy. Get to the Polish Supermarket for a jar of Bilberries, Morrisons short cut pastry. Bilberry Pie mate, custard or cream. Thank me later.
They also do a nice stew. Ive got tins of it in my emergency food stash. Another polish thing I discovered because I couldnt resist the name is noble knuckle of the highest table. It comes in a jar and looks awful but is delicious eaten cold.
I absolutely LOVE this ham. ❤❤❤ It's the closest I have found to the tinned ham we used to buy back in the early 1970s. So tasty, and you can see it's real meat, not slurry all stuck together with jelling agents. Our family love most of the Polish meat products, very tasty and still reasonably priced.
I buy the PEK equivalent in sainsbo's when it is on offer, usually £2 a tin (300g). I fry it sliced to go on toast with eggs and beans, cube and fry to go with fried cabbage and potatoes, fried sliced with mushrooms in a toasted sandwich. I'll look out for the Krakus stuff, as we have a big tesco nearby.
I like the PEK which is often on offer in one or other of the big supermarkets but best price recently is Farmfoods who are selling 2 x 400g family size tins for just £3!
Nice review. Yeah I’ve started picking up polish items in Asda. In the fridge by their German/polish section I’ve bought a tub of egg salad with potatoes. Also a tin like yours of pork and patè. All cheap and all tasty
Stunning - I’d even say a big ,wonderful Trigger when you started eating the baguette 🥖,phwooaar ! I have definitely had this as I am a pek lover ,rather than spam. My favourite is between English mustard or ketchup…I’m all about this. I’m sure Poland will forgive you for the pronunciation .. I’d definitely say, give it a go ,you won’t be disappointed 👌👌🙌☺️
AW your making me hungry again. Now I have to go to the shops to try and find all the Stuff. A little Tip . As i am trying to loose weight , so that Whale watch Ireland stop trying to put a tag on me when i go Swimming in the Sea, I scoop out most of the soft white dough in the baguette , it makes more room for filling and reduces the amount of bread i eat. Have a good week
I know this is a few months old, but this week, I'm having to order an asda shop for delivery as I've no car this week. I saw this in the World Food section. It's cheaped than pur equivalent ham and pork brands, I also saw horseradish and beetroot relish, I think that would be a very good addition to a baguette. My sister in law is Polish, and I've tasted that relish, and it's very good
This looks good, you expect jelly and feel cheated if its missing. So glad it has jelly... It was fought over!!! We always had a tin of 'good ham' in the cupboard for guests sandwiches or quick dinner with salad. This look s as if it might do chopped up and tossed through salad stuff to make a tasty dish. I always hope that someone would bring back tinned chicken... Yup a whole chicken and jelly in a Tin about 1200g now. It disappeared off the market just like the fabulous tin of roast beef slices... Ooh glory days of childhood... Will give this tin a taste. Thank you for doing all the hard work.
Always love your videos! W in Polish is pronounced V so it would sound like golonkova. I'm a Brit living in Poland and Krakus products are always good.
I remember the previous vid:) YES - this is exactly how we eat it in PL. We usually eat it with my family when on a trip. We eat it with fresh bread/buns, butter, onion, tomato, lettuce, salt, pepper. Wash it down with a wam cup'o'tea.
I do like Polish hams and sausages. My favourite sausage to eat is Masurian cooked sausage. You can get it in Aldi, Lidl and Tesco. Going back to the Polish luncheon meat ? I’ve bought this from my local Polish deli and it’s well tasty and great for a sarnie. There are different kinds you can buy and the girl in the deli explains them all to me with regard to flavour etc. Keep up your investigations into food and prices mate. You’re doing us all a great favour in seeking out great grub at decent prices. 👍🏻👍🏻.
The top left picture on your fridge drawn by your daughter reminds me of the Scream created by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch in 1893. She must be very gifted.
Defo havin some of this Lad looks bang tidy, I totally love a bit of Spam but bit pricey and usually goes straight thru us. Crackin vid and can’t wait to try
👍 Depending on the type of tin open the bottom with a tin opener and just push it through! Chill in fridge first! With a bit of salad one tin will do you a sandwich for work for a week!
That actually looks delicious I will have to aquire a tin at the weekend and try it in a sarnie with some fresh onions cracking video as usual keep up the good work from joff the trucker
I'd forgotten, but years ago I worked a summer job at Harris's pork pie factory in Ipswich, and I remember the 'Pork cheese' made from the head. Its a bit like that forkfull of jelly you tried at the start. Mmmmm. Theres another memory it brought back: I wandered around the site one day , and I heard this regular thud coming from a some ducting into a 'skip' on the loading bay. When I looked, the thuds were boiled clean pigs skulls coming off a conveyer dropping into the skip! They werent for waste, they went to another bit of the factory where rollers went round in a big circular enclosure turning them into bone meal for fertiliser.
I would eat it with some nice pickled onions, baby gherkins or pickled red cabbage and crusty bread with some nice fresh tomatoes on the side. It reminds me a little of rillettes.
The East European shops you find in many town centres are great, you can get all kinds of stuff in there. They usually have some really interesting crisps, sweets, biscuits and pop as well.
@@BaldFoodieGuy There's a really good one in Barrow if it's still there, it's been a couple of years since I was over there. It's called 'The European Shop' or something similarly obvious like that.
I remember the big push for cheap labourers in the early 2000s by UK Agency's recruiting in Poland. All it did was keep wages low for manufacturers and farmers.
Great review Gaz 👍♥️ I'll give it a go 👍 loving your mug 👍 I find using the back of the knife to split the seal around the tin Gaz 👍 Have a chillaxin day ❤
Good try on the pronunciation I’ll take a look tomorrow in one of my local polish 🇵🇱 shops see if they have the same or similar and the price point Definitely my kinda food Maybe with pickle slices to cut through the fat (Branston is a good alternative) 😊

LOL I really don't know why I watch you as 90% of what you review is not available here in Australia, and when they are available they are about 10 times the price, but your videos are always enjoyable anyway.
PEK Chopped Pork is much better and is fantastic dry-fried (no oil) till crisp. It has better texture and flavour than Krakus brand. Chill in fridge before opening, then it will be firm and easy to cut in the tin and won't fall apart ... no need to remove from tin as once you get one slice out the rest will be easy. Use one of those tin openers that cut around the edge of the tin then you can pop the lid back on when storing in the fridge.
Use quite a few polish food products, best to go to the polish shops get better value/cheaper,also helps when you work with poles they point you in the right direction.
Plenty of Polish brands to try, all a little bit different and some utterly delicious. Mostly cheaper in the Polish shops.

Yes we bought 3 last Sunday, all thanks to Mr Baldie Food
Sold out online
They are delicious
Looks like PEK. I love PEK so will give this a go. Great show Gareth
Top tip Gaz, use tin opener to cut round the bottom, then push on the bottom to slide it out the top, comes out perfect every time.
Ye I often just stab a hole in some cans to let some air in and and the food comes out far easier but removing the base for meats certainly helps.
Just done that when the key on my bacon grill broke. Not easy going round corners on the tin! 😂
Cheers Benny
I do this mainly with corned beef tins... Others I stab the base with a knife just to release the 'vacuum.' saves cut fingers etc
Oh No! It has got Sodium Nitrate in it that turns colon polyps cancerous. Consult your doctor before trying this. I love the jelly too but will not be buying this.
Hi Gareth, can't go wrong with Polish food. It's normally very tasty. Keep up the spot on work. Best wishes from Scotland.
Couldn't agree more!
That looks tasty, Polish pork is really good, Lidl have good ones,xx😊
Looked really good Gaz! I will have to give this a try…. Right up my street! Enjoy your Sunday mate ….. Smithy

Irish ☘️ supermarkets know how to 🤑 and the product ranges are narrower than the UK too.
Lidl sell lard. It might be worth having a look there although I’m not sure if they have it in Irish Lidl.
It’s available at our local Supervalu along with a selection of other polish products.
Release the Krakus 😂❤ Polish food is amazing, try the cherry jam, amazing and packed with cherries 🍒 ❤
I had their kiwi jam, no added sugar. Not a jam fan but that was really tasty. Had it with some Greek yoghurt
Haha 👍
Cherry jam one of the best ever.
I always put them in the fridge an hour or two before so the jelly doesn’t go runny especially the ham ones
I would definitely be buying that whenever I’m shopping. Looks fantastic having it on a baguette. :)
You and me both!
My mum always bought Krakus jams. They were gorgeous.
"Really Porky!".........."erbidy erbidy erbidy, that's all folks!"🤣
Garth I wouldn’t give that to me mothering law 😂
It is very nice with piccalilli. I am fortunate to have several Polish shops locally, some wonderful foods in them.

I remember PEK. Can you still get it?

Gareth doing 3 rounds with the krakus golonkowa tin and finally won. Tyson fury next?
wishing everyone a cozy sunday and a great week ahead x
Back to you ❤
Thank you! You too!
I’ll be on the lookout for that the next time I pass a Polish shop. Looks like it would be delicious with bread and pickle.
Tinned meats like this get such a bad press but I love them, must get hold of some of this. Cheers Gareth.
Yes this is a tasty one.
They also do a nice stew. Ive got tins of it in my emergency food stash. Another polish thing I discovered because I couldnt resist the name is noble knuckle of the highest table. It comes in a jar and looks awful but is delicious eaten cold.
The noble knuckle of the highest table ? Sounds like a wu tang clan song or a really painful double handed Kung-fu punch to the nuts or something.
