Someone is in for the high jump at Iceland. A product that tastes really good and great value for money. I bet that will be instant dismissal and escorted from the premises for the person or persons responsible!🤣
That black pudding is genuine quality by loughnanes of Galway. They do a lot of own brand breakfast meats for Aldi in Ireland at a very keen price, and some stuff for Lidl too. If Iceland done white pudding Irish styled I say you would love that.
"Black puddings looking very black today, even the white bits are black" a favourite line from ripping yarns tv series always comes to mind with black pudding 😅

Yes,I was raised in Birmingham, and that’s how I remember black pudding, these slices don’t look very nice to me. I live in NYC,and it’s very difficult to get black pudding here
I’m pleased that you mentioned Stornaway Black Pudding as I agree it is indeed exceptional as you say, it’s the best black pudding I’ve tasted and is quite rightly the most expensive too, but it’s worth it for the quality. I really enjoy watching your reviews, keep up the good work 👍🏻
I had an old girlfriend who used to love a bit of black pudding. She preferred it to white puddings. Her words were once you you tried black you won't go back.
As someone who used to make black pudding i can tell you if you fry it in a dry pan and there is absolutely no fat to be seen in the pan it' usually indicates that is a cheaper product (that does not mean it won't taste nice)
It's all I ever wanted in a frozen product. Thanks for another fantastic review. I usually buy a big 'sausage' from Costco, slice it up and freeze it. Saves all the bother :)
Hi Gareth. A happy healthy New Year to you and your family. We are all doing well here, still cutting grass and picking stuff for the Saturday Market. We don't get pigs black pudding, we get chicken black pudding. Chickens are bled after being killed. No Christmas birds here, we had some good pork. All our best wishes. Don, Phannee and the boys. (At school on Christmas day !! )
Thanks Gareth will definitely buy them, you really need to cook black pudding with a bit of hot oil to stop them drying out. Thanks again for a great review ❤😊😊😊
Would bacon grease work. Or will it start to burn. I can never use the same pan to cook multiple bacon for one breakfast. The first comes out fine the second ends up with black burnt bits. Iv tried slow cooking to the second batch never works for me.
There's different recipes with different fat-soaking vs fat-releasing , these fat-soaking types I'd put in after fat-releasing food such as streaky bacon. Don't use cooking oil, it's really expensive just mix fattier meats in earlier and leave them in the pan for the next day. Your kitchen sink pipes will thankyou you for never cleaning a fatty swill from a pan.
Will have to check this one out, I do like black pudding but not all the time. Crumble two of those into creamy mash, you will not be disappointed, great find Gareth. Cheers.
Was about to come in about the beef blood but easily beaten to it. I love black pudding as well, I would highly recommend M&S’s slices, fruit pig black pudding which is incredible, and also Clonakilty black pudding. Plus anything from Scotland black pudding wise tends to be perfect. Not a fan of bury black pudding, always found it a bit bland. I’d also reccomend air frying black pudding. I’ve started to do it now so I can have it as a snack and it gets perfect - crispy outside, lovely and moist inside! I’ll be trying these for sure
Iceland slapping ‘luxury’ on bloody everything at the minute 😅😅😅 This is a decent price but it’s what all frozen items should be really. Iceland has a habit of charging the same or more for frozen items as other stores charge for fresh.
Hi Gareth just bought these yesterday after watching your review they are very tasty but you can definitely taste the cloves i did them in the airfryer 9/10 thanks
Thanks Gaz 👍♥️ I'll be giving this a go when my black pudding that I get from Scotland runs out 👍 I've just watched the video of you and your brother eating the death nut challenge 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🤯🥵👍 Have a lovely day Gaz ❤
Have it the French way and go posh. Fry it as you say and serve with French (Dijon) mustard, creamy mash and apple segments fried in butter. Really works well.
That looks delish, I bloody love black pudding, I actually live in Ireland, so spoiled for choice. Only have the occasional bit for the sake of my waistline 😀
My neighbour, Mary, bought me a huge black pudding whilst on holiday up north that I cut into slices and froze. Still got some. I don't why she bought, she said she thought of me when she saw it. 😮
My friends and I have a black Pud with a pint in the pub. They cut it up into slices and serve, cold. It is already cooked, so you do not need to cook it again, though I like it fried too. The best ones have big chunks of fat.
That black pudding looked good! Just got back from Aldi and noticed something in the freezer section which says "I'm New" and which might be worth a try. Rooster's Gastro Stuffing and Gravy Chicken Kiev. Sounds a bit wrong but who knows!!

A bit crispy on the outside. Remember people, the fat is added to a pan to transfer the heat from the metal to the food. Does it more evenly.
