As someone who also doesn’t own a Lego Star destroyer, this looks like a great thing to add to my collection!

It makes sense that that triangle shape is a hologram of the ships position though too. I wish they made a cavity for docking a micro scale tantive ship or at least had the non flat bottom on it. I know that would make it impossible to sit flat not at an angle, but at least the top proportions look great.

Nice review! I think that "cyber crystal" is actually meant to be a hologram table with a hologram projection of some different ships.This is why its a trans blue color.

5:30 that's a holomap of a battle the blue pieces are Imperial ships and the red ones are enemy ships

This is a wonderfully well done review. Covers all aspects. I do think this scale is ideal for play or display. Although I would like it more if it came with a stand. Love the number of minifigures Lego put in the set. Looks to be a fairly priced set.

Great review, however I think mould refers to plastic injected pieces, so the trooper is instead a new print on old moulds

This is the BEST looking Star Destroyer, like ever. I think, although it's a Playset it's comparable to the UCS Star Destroyer in some aspects. So for those like me who want a Good looking Star Destroyer but don't have the Money to get a UCS Set, buy this one! Additionally, I've always wanted a Star Destroyer in Lego Form, however I was never able to get one, so now I can FINALLY get one. I'm definitely going to pre-order this!

I think it is a little bit expensive… is there any chance that Lego will release the imperial star destroyer but in the scale of the new ucs tie interceptor?
It has more figures than the UCS one so that's something to consider
The new Lego Star Destroyer looks like a cool set, and buying it is the only way to get the Cal Kestis mini figure. It's also one I'll wait for a good sale to get.

Looks like a great set. Thanks for the review. What did you think of the new box style? It seems more reusable, like boxes from the 80s. I still have a couple boxes from my childhood with the set saved away in the box.

I also think it’s really good. People complain about the price because it’s shorter but the price per piece is average for Lego and there’s cal kestis on top of that
I personally am not the biggest fan of larger models since I lack space, but I will definitely make some room for this one!! I love it!!!
The thing in the lab is a hologram, the red represents an enemy ship/the rebels, and the blue triangle is a Star destroyer, blue is to represent the empire/friendlies.

I don’t have a star destroyer yet either. Being a “rookie” collector it is hard to get the money or find what I want to add seeing as I am also fairly young to be collecting Lego Star Wars with how little I make

Lego probably gonna artificially inflate or at least hedge the price from discounting by retiring it this year or nearly next year but holding on to a huge backlog to slowly release it to retailers as another "found in locked storage container" gimmick...

I love how everyone is complaining about Cal not having a poncho, but if you never change your cosmetics, cal only wears a poncho during the tutorial.
I just love ponchos in the sw universe! Qgj, anakin, Ahsoka, leia, jango, Luke, bo katan, jyn, Rey! I like the look haha however brief

See, i personally don't think this is a cas grab or overpriced, 1,500 pieces for £150, no price increase bc £150 is the price tier of sets with this many pieces (the tier above £120 for about 1200 pieces like the at te) and the details are great, interior is great, nice built in handle, cal kestis, the other figs are all really good too. 100% picking it up asap.
