referring to the "phase 2 clones" being considered villains, its actually intentional that they are in the hero class. after you pass episode 3 (if going by progression) the phase 2 clones later have the ability to use villain terminals the same goes the other way for the Kashyyk scout trooper, they are considered villains but have the ability to use hero terminals and dress in disguises as if they were a hero character. i wouldn't say its a coding bug, i see it as intentional since they were technically both heroes and villains
But that causes players using phase 2 clone troopers become hostile against their own faction during space battle and other encounters. Which doesn't make any sense at all. So there was obviously an oversight or mistake when considering the coding for the characters. I think the intention was for the Phase 2 trooper to be coded the same way as the 41st scout trooper since he is the only (phase 2 Variant) that is coded to still be considered a 'hero faction' during encounters (even though he is listed as a villain) and therefore can fight for the republic during space battles etc. Whereas this is not the case for any other phase 2 clone (besides the commanders).
The whole section with the cut Clone Troopers is because "The Complete Saga" is actually a mash-up of the two previous games. LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game was the first and focuses exclusively on the prequels. That game was released around the same time as Revenge of the Sith, so the devs had to work with concept art and early designs for the movie.
Wow I’m disappointed in the devs with the maps. They delayed the game many times just for them to use the same maps as battlefront 2?. That seems hecka lazy.
It makes sense in my mind. Since everything is under Disney and all Star Wars games were then contracted under EA exclusively for the duration, it’s not shocking they’d have EA outsource their engine/maps for a lot of areas. Lego games have been striving to be more realistic looking with each iteration, and copying over the maps A) makes the maps look the most realistic to date and B) saves a lot resources from having to build maps from pure scratch. C) establishes a sense of familiarity into the players’ minds if you’ve played Battlefront before The game is still crazy massive with a lot unique maps made like Mustafar, Dagobah, Kef Bar etc, and they do look really good. Also delays weren’t anything specifically due to the Maps. It’s more so poor management and project execution. Moving staff to other projects, trying implement content only for it to get cut, etc
I see this more as a case of fixing what’s not already broken. It works well for the level design of Lego. I also think they do at least a bit to make the maps have their own flavor by introducing more verticality than BF2 had if anything.
Developing the Skywalker Saga game sounds like it was an absolute nightmare. Can’t blame them honestly. I’m actually impressed they were able to take maps made in the notoriously difficult Frostbite engine and recreate them in the so-bad-we-will-only-use-this-once NTN engine.
4:48 She also died in Canon in the Bad Batch on Kamino. Just after Order 66 you see a body bag that is presumably Shaak Ti. As far as Yoda's vision goes, the future is always in motion.
I thought that too but it isn't Shaak-Ti. The hand is the wrong color, the saber is the wrong design, and the character has their own wiki page as unidentified Jedi master
The reason why the clones in the complete saga are of early *wrong* designs is because The Complete saga is a updated and rereleased version of Lego Star wars 1 and 2, and Lego Star Wars 1 was made at the same time Episode 3 was being made so they just used what was probably given to them by Lucasfilm which was unfinished designs and cuts of the film was also the reason why there are some deleted scenes in the cutscenes for the episode 3 levels.
Now this may seem crazy, but if you hear me out, it could be because, now this may be hard to understand but, they were based off of places in the movies for both games. 🤯 i know right its crazy
Cody was this way because he is originally from Lego Star Wars: The Video Game. That game was released the same year as RoTS. That is why so much RoTS is based on canceled stuff and concept art.
Really glad you mentioned the way Phase 2 Clones are handled in the Skywalker Saga. Always bugged me a bit too that Skywalker Saga's Phase 2 Clones aren't all that accurate - mainly the Shock Troopers and 212th - but they also just don't have the 91st or 212th Airborne. It also bugs me that we see different Clone classes (officer, heavy, sniper, and ARC Trooper), but unlike the Stormtroopers of the Empire and First Order, we can only play as standard Clone Troopers, and not the cool class versions we fight against. I also don't like that most Phase 2 clones hold their blasters like pistols (like Han Solo), rather than shouldering them like proper soldiers. It all just goes to show how rushed the game was by the end.
Well, both use the areas shown in the movies, of course they look the "same". But, don't believe for a second that Travellers Tales exported the maps from Battlefront 2. Dice may not own Star Wars, but they most definitely own the rights to Battlefront 2, as such TT Games would have to license the maps from them, and also convert the data set from Frostbyte into their own Engine. At the end of the day, they look similar because both use high fidelity graphics to show the same things. Believing these assets to be the VERY same from BF2 is non-sense, by that same logic you could say that Dice used the assets from Maz's Cantina and Starkiller Base in LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
If you are aware, EA said during the development of Battlefront that they had access to the cancelled Battlefront 3 game. Thus EA has to provide the builds to Disney because regardless of them developing the game, Disney holds the rights over the product, as they got a license from Disney. Battlefront 2 went into end of support because Disney decided to pull the plug. EA made these assets for Disney's IP, thus Disney gets full control and ownership of the assets after the contract ends and EA has no say on it. These assets can be retooled into different things and also the maps that you see in battlefront normally come in other softwares like Maya, 3DSMax or Blender, easily being able to be ported into any engine on demand. If you have the SOURCE files which EA has the legal obligation to provide the IP holder copies of all the source files except their proprietary code (Frostbyte). So you just load the entire map on a 3D software and start messing with it. So yeah EA can't provide frosbite access not engine files, but the source 3D files and texture files must be provided to the client no matter what.
I have two things to say It's interesting that the developers added the heavy battle droid with a dark color just like in battlefront 2 but they didn't add the heavy trooper clone Another thing too, since the developers were inspired by the Battlefront 2 maps, I think it is very unlikely that the Coruscat map Maybe it was also inspired by the possible initial artiworks of the Coruscat map for Battlefront 2
In regards to the ROTS deleted scenes in Lego TCS, the reason for that is that during the development of Lego Star Wars 1, ROTS was unfinished, and the devs only had access to the early cut that had unfinished scenes that ultimately weren't in the final movie. Similarly, Lego SW 1 also had no music from ROTS due to the soundtrack not being finished when the game was developed. By the time of TCS, they were able to restore the soundtrack (in levels, at least), but altering the game drastically would have been outside the scope of what TCS was.
Yodas vision in the clone wars doesn’t show she was killed by anikan, grevious also has a blue lightsaber Also jangos flightsuit is lavender, lighting makes it look blue sometimes
Another interesting fact is that while the Swamp Clone Troopers have green markings in The Complete Saga, they actually have blue markings in the original 2005 game The 501st Clone in the Create a Character Menu, which you mention at 3:52, is therefore not actually a 501st Clone but instead the Swamp Clone from the original 2005 game
Call me crazy and I know some people will disagree with me on this, but I honestly think the EA maps to Lego Star wars the Skywalker saga was pretty cool!
Phase 2 clones in the Skywalker Saga are labled as part of the Hero Class with the abilities of said class, but also have the abilities of the Villain Class like throwing grenades and accessing villain terminals. I belive it's a bug as the Phase 2 clones in the story act as villains and attack you, grenades and all, so the coding in the Villain Class is already coded into the Phase 2 clones despite being in the Hero Class.
Lego star wars 1 the video game is what the prequel levels of the complete saga are from, and that game came out right before revenge of the sith released, which explains all the inaccuracies with some revenge of the sith stuff like the clone designs.
3:59 I think that ”501st Clone” parts in Complete Saga is a reference to the blue version of the Swamp Trooper from Lego Star Wars: The Video Game (2005). In the game Swamp Troopers, at least in the story mode of the Kashyyyk Defence, are blue instead of green.
It makes sense that all of the maps share similarities... stsr wars Battlefront 2 made all these map Layouts canon... why not take over the canonical designs? The lego SW devs created these maps, if you actually play the lego game and you have as much hours as me in SWBF2 you instantly realize that all these maps are created from scratch, with inspiration taken from SWBF2, the game that made ALL these map layouts canon...
It probably has less to do with if its Canon or not and more to do with the fact that it's a third party franchise that retains all rights to its material and therefore is able to freely share assets between companies that are creating projects for their IP.
Not every map is the exact same as the battlefront2 version, and its not just about "being accurate". Because Dice took alot of creativity liberty when designed their maps. Creating layouts that compliment and balance gameplay as well as reference the source material. So the fact that some of the lego maps have the exact Same layouts as bf2 means that those maps were directly copied or converting assets from bf2 itself over to the lego game. Which is very interesting because we've never seen assets from a completely different game used in a lego game before this instance. Ever. In the past, Lego usually tailors their maps to suit their own games needs which leads them to be very different from other Starwars games.
The models and textures are different so they didn’t just port it over from Battlefront 2. But. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lucasfilm have the assets on standby and uses them as references. Since BF2 whole stick was very thing “canon look”.
One thing that I thought while playing skywalker saga was, “there’s all these buildings everywhere, why aren’t they made out of Lego bricks?” It kind of took me out of the game to be honest
I really liked a lot of the easter eggs from the Lego games, but my favorite has to be Starkiller from Lego Star Wars 3. I really wish he was in the Skywalker Saga, maybe even have his FU2 clone that had two lightsabers instead of one. That would be really fun to see and mess around with during gameplay. He could even be a hero thanks to turning to the light side towards the end of the game.
The rogue clone trooper level in TCS isn’t exactly a reference to a deleted scene. The game is a combination of the first two games. When the first game was in development, Episode III wasn’t finished yet, so the devs had to go off of a rough cut of the film.
I knew TSS had Battlefront 2 maps. Lol. I noticed the similarities for the very firat moments. It is just crazy that it is kinda comfirmed. I know both have differences and variations, and it makes sense that they are kinda similar, tho.
I need a lego battlefront game 😂 who's with me? Plus I'm glad they added Galen Merek (aka Starkiller) in the new lego game but man I wish he and Ahsoka were in Battlefront as dual wielders
The phase 1s walking about always bugged me, honestly Skywalker saga in general was kinda disappointed, no custom content, promised that planets will change, barely finished water ship animations on the death Star ruins planet and some important characters having no voice acting eg tarkin when his current va is already there, also the dlc characters were disappointing because in other games they had missions and full voice acting (I think it was one of the marvel games) but here they're just cool textures, also how they didn't release all capital ships at launch still bugs me, I really wanted to adore the game but I'm honestly let down, at least we hear the cw vas doing the movies though.
1:42 the complete saga is both of the original Lego Star Wars games combined right? The first game was released in 2005 alongside the movie was it not?
Its rumoured to have been one if the next maps planned to be released along with Ahsoka ad Asajj. Denis the lead game designer hinted at it in a post years ago. We already released a video about cut content for dice's Bf2 on this channel. You can check it out for more info 👍

Ever since the Skywalker saga came out and we realised how similar so many of the maps were to what we see in BF2, and knowing that Mustafa was likely to have been the next map seen before BF2 was cancelled.... It's very likely that exploring Mustafar in TSWS is the closest we'll get to see what could have been Dice's version for the planet.

8:02 What do you mean that makes no sense? You realise that all of the factions have battleships that you can attack, not just the 'antagonist' factions, right?
What we are referring to is the fact that Phase 2 clone troopers are coded as Villain characters (even though they are listed under the hero category) which makes them hostile against their own faction when engaging in space battles. Leading to the player joining the CIS and shooting down other clones and republic faction characters during encounters while playing as Clone troopers themselves
Well of course they are gonna look similar, it’s not because they were trying to copy bf2, they are based on the same location haha lol, locations like yavin 4, that’s the same in a lot of games because you can’t just make it different to the movies haha lol, Star Wars games just put in locations from the movies not other Star wars games lol
I highly doubt EA would let other devs use their assets. They just look the same because they're based on the same movies and supplementary source material.
Its completely possible, EA don't own those assets at all, they made them in contract with Disney (the third party) and depending on that contract it can be completely possible that Disney wanted the right to share and use assets made by Dice for their IP with other projects relating to the same IP. Disney retains the rights to those assets after all.

Very cool vid, keep doing LEGO facts!
I’m not on either said of this, but I can understand the devs for doing this since they have to make many locations for the movies in the game.
The rogue clone trooper level in TCS isn’t exactly a reference to a deleted scene. The game is a combination of the first two games. When the first game was in development, Episode III wasn’t finished yet, so the devs had to go off of a rough cut of the film.
Ahh yep true, I haven't played the first original Lego star wars so thanks for letting me know!
I would like to imagine the Battlefront 2 maps are the canon design of the planets (at least they were some moment)
First point can be debatable considering how WB does something similar with their Middle Earth depictions in video games
Starkiller was actually playable in lego star wars 3 the clone wars so he's appeared twice in lego games
I knew TSS had Battlefront 2 maps. Lol. I noticed the similarities for the very firat moments. It is just crazy that it is kinda comfirmed.
I know both have differences and variations, and it makes sense that they are kinda similar, tho.
Didn’t expect to see my inclusion in this, excellent video! Such a great game with so many secrets!
ahah glad you liked it! Thanks for the tweeting the dev about the map similarity as well, really cool insight!
They don’t use the same maps, you can see they are different, they obviously just look the same because they are based off the same thing
See? That's how amazing Battlefront 2 was! Why end support? Or better yet, why not make Battlefront 3, EA?
I need a lego battlefront game 😂 who's with me? Plus I'm glad they added Galen Merek (aka Starkiller) in the new lego game but man I wish he and Ahsoka were in Battlefront as dual wielders
Both in the same bf game would be crazy!
If they portrait the same locations then of course there would be similarities
Hold up, hold up. Your telling me that games based off the same location in a movie would be very similar? Never would have guessed
Some of these are a stretch trying to connect these back to the new Lego starwars game
It’s almost like it’s the same planet and the same locations as in Lego and battle front
I didn’t know that the planets from lego Star Wars the skywalker saga was used in Star Wars battlefront 2 as shown on 0:00-0:24.
So you’re telling me, that on top being delayed, they just copied Battlefront II? 🤨
You should have got a Star Wars battlefront 2 Lego mod and have them side by side
Is there any way to ask Modders to use the maps from Skywalker Saga to make these fan maps.
id like to think jango just isnt musty and changes coveralls
1:42 the complete saga is both of the original Lego Star Wars games combined right? The first game was released in 2005 alongside the movie was it not?
Ahhh true ay! I haven't played the original lego game so forgot it reused alot of missions from then
It’s like they’re all movie accurate or something
0:44 what’s this about adding mustafar to BF2?!?!
Its rumoured to have been one if the next maps planned to be released along with Ahsoka ad Asajj. Denis the lead game designer hinted at it in a post years ago.
We already released a video about cut content for dice's Bf2 on this channel. You can check it out for more info 👍
As invader said, fWe explain more about the unfinished content from BF2 in this video we did here - th-cam.com/video/fdh7YJJYGOo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-OEV3F7DEPGm8-iw
Not only in the conplete saga also in lego star wars 1 is cody cody
I didn’t even notice that they used EA style.
100%
I will post another copy of my comment here:
For information purposes only.
It makes sense that all of the maps share similarities... star wars Battlefront 2 made all these map Layouts canon... why not take over the canonical designs? Especially the maps aren't the same, obviously it shares similarities as stated, its the canon layout. The lego SW devs created these maps, if you actually play the lego game and you have as much hours as me in SWBF2 you instantly realize that all these maps are created from scratch, with inspiration taken from SWBF2, the game that made ALL these map layouts canon...
@@MeisterSchwabbo I should clarify that alot of the textures & map layout isn't the exact same, but they defs reused some things as it would save alot of time, a Lego def even confirmed it when asked about Kashyyyk as I said in the vid so its not completely impossible.
Never really noticed... Nice!
i dont think it should have been hyperrealistic for lego because lego isn’t realistic it should have been glossy or plastic looking
This is pretty cool
1:41 wait you genuinely have no clue that the complete saga is the 4th lego game
Making a new engine was a mistake
Thia Video is so dumb.. it's 2 Games about the same Universe, the same Planets, the same Stuff of course the Loctions & Planets will look the same
Is this an old reupload? Bf2 will never ever get a mustafar map. There is no team left working on that game.
I said in the video before its live service cancelation
The layout, if it's good, why change it
I mean they’re the same locations
I knew it was the sameeeeeeeee map
No one believed me but I was right
> opens facts video
> wild speculation
> closes video
1 hour gang and tickets
the battlefront 2 maps were used as reference for skywalker saga
I highly doubt EA would let other devs use their assets. They just look the same because they're based on the same movies and supplementary source material.
Its completely possible, EA don't own those assets at all, they made them in contract with Disney (the third party) and depending on that contract it can be completely possible that Disney wanted the right to share and use assets made by Dice for their IP with other projects relating to the same IP. Disney retains the rights to those assets after all.
I know im prob gna get hate i liked the concept of this game shame it was cut short with level creativness but if it was made into a real starwars freeroam with more level desing etc it would be an awsome starwars game custom character different ships i dont know its better idea than outlaws 😂😂
It the gameplay design free roam etc not the Lego side of things 😅
Somehow LSW the Skywalker Saga just got even more disappointing
Cool
Too bad this LEGO game was pretty disappointing...
dude. they aren't. your own edits proves you wrong
Sorry this video is just stupid what?! I mean they both tried to copy what was shown in the movie or course they will look similar
Such a boring game it was such an easy game so scripted where even the fights you don’t even get to do it yourself I mean going around the world is fun but then again if you can’t really control what you do or you know it’s scripted even the boss fights subscripted what’s the point? The puzzle was really easy but not as challenged as the original game was This game was made for people who grew up with the Lego Star Wars games but then the game is so easy so is it meant for kids? But it’s too easy for kids so who is it meant for?
The Skywalker saga game is a mess, its a terrible game
To each their own. But we can agree that Skywalker saga is still better than most AAA games out there. Personally I love TSS because of the open world fr
