We all knew this was coming, but it doesn't make us any less excited.
Less??? Since i've waiting and suffered in last years insults from some PS4 gamers just for Not Spyro on Switch, This makes me More and More And More Happy and Excited...

i played the original on ps1 now 20 years later i can play it everywhere thank you Nintendo
If you have a smart phone then you can play the originals anywhere... And it's been possible for years.
You can also play the originals on PSP and Vita.

@@Jenema2 Clearly we have a difference of opinion, which hey, is allowed. Because I not only watched that launch trailer, I watched it in every language it came out in and commented on pretty much every single one, if not all of them.
As a kid I always wanted to play this now I finally get to and playing the trilogy is a huge plus!!

Well as DK and Bowser was in Skylanders, it would be a nice trade from Nintendo to have Spyro and Crash in Smash Bros.

Shadow9000 nothing major just it’s that now we can play it in 60fps or on the go.(I do think there were some minor glitches but I think those were patched. Don’t quote me)

Nintendorak Yamato is KH3 really that demanding? I’m sure they could port it but they’d have to really scale it down so it might not be worth it.
This makes me so happy that I could cry. I am still trying to process this. This game was part of my childhood, I have played all three games and I can't wait to re-experience it again, and finally beat it too.

The legend series were my favorite
fènnù honestly would be surprised if it ever happened. Between licensing the voices, some shoddy and inconsistent mechanics throughout the series. Oh and the fact that the legends series has such a smaller following than the original.
I honestly and sadly think that the original sky landers has a better chance of getting remastered. And I hate saying that as a Spyro fan.
A New Beginning and The Eternal Night are not that interesting. Just running straight and killing enemies.

Takes m .back to the the time I played the GameCube. Was fun just running around, gliding, and firing at enemies.

This alone is enough to make me want a Nintendo Switch instead of a Wii U. The video "Mario Kart 8 vs. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" certainly leaned me toward the Switch very strongly, but now knowing that Spyro Reignited Trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch pretty much takes care of it for me. When I buy my next Nintendo Console (I don't trade consoles - I add them to my collection), it'll definitely be Nintendo Switch.
Honestly, this game is underrated, a lot of people just went “oh spyro, neat.” Where on my behalf I was freaking out. Banjo, Persona and so many games owned by Microsoft and Sony are being ported on to the Switch. It’s cool to see the three getting along. I hope Nintendo ports a Mario, Zelda or Splatoon game on to other big consoles like Xbox or PS4/PS5.

I already have the PS4 version but I'm happy for those who will get the chance to play it on Switch. I know some were really excited about this possibility. Besides, this should be good for the Spyro franchise too.
AiramLP I am. I don't have a PS4 or the Xbox one so I was very disappointed that I couldn't get the game. When I found out it was going to be on Switch which I have I was so happy. I love the Spyro series when I was a little kid.
Now we just need a full remaster of Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie

This is legit like top 3 best announcements to come out of E3 for me. I nearly platinumed all 3 games on PS4 (only missing a couple from Spyro 3), so I'm definitely buying this again on Switch and logging more hours in than I have for any other game.
Man I can't even remember how young I was when I played spyro the dragon for the first time, seeing this makes me crazy nostalgic.. I can't wait for this game to come out!

Spyro was definitely a big part of my childhood. I remember we got that game on the PlayStation in 1998. Along with medievil ( which in my opinion is long overdue for a remastering). Lots of fun times with these games. My sister was a completionist and I kind of annoyed me
As a Nintendo Gamer, the only Spyro game I played as the gamecube port of Enter the Dragonfly. But now, I finally get to play the original trilogy
Same (except for the whole GameCube and ETD) I play an old Spyro game at my aunie and uncle's place, I can't remember which one, but it was hard because I wasn't really old enough to do platforming, so I just kept falling, hopefully that Spyro game is one of the OG three, so I can figure out the platforming!
It wasn't ported it was a gamecube original.
I hope we get a retail release with all three games. I even would buy every game on a single card.

Just from looking at this trailer, graphically it looks virtually identical to the PS4 version, that extra year to get this port right really seems to have paid off

I grew up on these 3 games, too, when they first came out. I should still have the old discs and cases somewhere. I think the 3rd one was special edition. Nothing will ever beat playing these games on the old PSX, but this looks like a good remastering. :) Oh, I'm 40, so I feel ya.
